Fast forward a few weeks and hundreds of miles, I am glad to be proven wrong, and was surprised by how comfortable my runs have become. I really enjoy running in the shoes and the boost of confidence when I run in them, knowing that my feet ankle and knees feel much more supported.

I was bummed out when previous models seemed to cut back on the width of the forefoot. These are perfect for me. The extra cushion is awesome, the heel maintains stability. Highly recommend.

After 15 miles, I can say that I am a big fan of these shoes and the Altra Running brand. As someone who hasn't necessarily prioritized a running shoe (compared to a cross trainer), wowwhat a difference a high quality running shoe makes in both short and long runs. These shoes really do make running more enjoyable and arguably easier. The shoes run true to size, both length and width. If you have a wide foot, I'd recommend looking for the wide version of this shoe, or potentially going up half a size. With proper decision making when buying, you'll avoid any hot spots. The color way I received was great, and the quality of the shoe is superior to many. I can confidently say that these shoes will last hundreds of miles on a treadmill, and handle just as well out doors. Buy these shoes with confidence!!

I really like these shoes. I think these they are very high quality and value. These shoes are great for running. They provide a lot of padding for the heel and running feels low impact. I would definitely recommend these shoes.

This model was plush and roomy in the toe box, making for a comfy ride. First time trying a zero drop shoe, so I was nervous about it initially, but it was an easy adjustment. Good addition to the rotation.

I run about 10-15 miles per week, mostly street. I use to wear Adidas Ultraboost because they were very comfortable on my feet. But I wanted to give another shoe a try. The men's Torin 7 felt amazing! The fit was perfect and true to size, perfect width for my feet. Little break in period, but once I used them for about 2 days, the shoe felt like I've been using them for months. Every step I took felt comfortable and formed with my foot. Felt almost like I could run forever. Great shoe, highly recommend.

The Altra Men's Torin 7 is an amazing feat of Running Shoe Engineering. It is an attractive shoe that not only looks great but feels great to wear. The redeveloped Tongue and molded heel collar helps this shoe feel extra comfortable compared to it's predecessor. I ran with these both on trails and flat surfaces as well as treadmills and what really stands out is how comfortable and breathable these shoes felt. The extra foam cushioning on the midsole really made them extra comfortable on long runs. The mesh was really breathable and with each strike of my heel, I felt my foot felt well positioned and lacked extra movement that I hate with some shoes. Overall, I am very impressed with this shoe and expect to enjoy running in them for a long time. I would definitely recommend this shoe to friends and family and although I received this product for free in exchange for writing this review, there is no question I would purchase this shoe if I were in the market for a good running shoe in the future.

This is the best shoe that I have ever tried. These shoes are the most comfortable to run, walk, and even trail run in. I typically use them everyday as well because they are so comfortable. I would recommend these to anyone who needs a new everyday or athletic shoe.

This running shoes are very confortable. when I'm running at a high pace around 3.45 km/min, they are very stable and i feel i can go faster.
they are very light shoes. They are recommended to do a Marathon or Half Marathon or Ironman. I am going to use to do a Half Ironman in a couple of week because i feel very safety with them.

Well, Altra's failed experiment with 5 and 6 is thankfully over. The glory is back. This is the closest to the 4.5 plush now. It feels fantastic. I haven't felt anything close to the forefoot cushion since 4.5, but this gets it right again. I'll be stocking up on these since we know they'll ruin the next 2 versions after.

Absolutely love this shoe! I have the Torin 6 and I like the Torin 7 much better. The tongue staying in place, the cushioning, and the overall fit of this shoe are amazing. Highly recommend!

I use this for an everyday trainer. Great toe box width and soft cushioning. Great pair of shoes with the 0mm drop.

I am about 25 miles in and I am really enjoying the Torin 7. I started my Altra experience with the Torin 2 and followed the line with the 4.5 plush being my favorite. I did not get along well with the 5 or 6 and tried a few other but ultimately used the Vanish Tempo to fill the void.
To me, the Torin 7 feels like a mixture between the 4.5 plush and the Vanish Tempo. The 4.5 being a 28mm stack and the Tempo being 33mm, Torin 7 having 30mm is money.
Initially I thought the toe box was a little shallow like the Rivera but after the first run it felt perfect.
Pace wise, it felt versatile like back in the day when I used the Torin for training and racing.
Laces are flat and perfect length, no more half oval laces.
Heel and midfoot felt great, all in all this shoe is perfect for my foot.
I hope they prove durable but time will tell. Anyone carrying scars (literally) from the 5 or 6 can rest easy, the Torin is back on track.

I coach for a living at a sports performance facility and not only am on my feet all day but to be able to demonstrate exercise including squatting, jumping, single leg hopping, sprinting etc i am a true believer in a minimal drop heel to toe and wide toe box. I believe both of these things contributed to me getting over some killer plantar fasciitis I was experiencing for about 3 months. I ordered a pair of Torins and within the 2nd week BOOM! I've never had foot pain since! The cushioning is just right for me ** but I do not do much long distance road runs, only short sprint work. Highly recommend you get a pair of Altras! Preferably one with minimal heel to toe drop and standard to wide toe box

Hear me out. Torin 7 Trail. All this needs is a Vibram MegaGrip or Vibram LiteBase outsole and this would be a shoe at the start line of every Ultra Marathon in the world. Altra let's work.

I have tried the last few versions of the torin, but the fit and feel of this one really stands out! I appreciate the extra room in the toe box and the cushion is reminiscent of the torin plush.

This is an excellent shoe. Altra took the Torin 6 upper and added a great tongue and set of laces. The midsole is perfect. Length is true to size now so order a half size down from your Torin 6.

This is my favorite road shoe. Have been running in all versions of the Torin over the years, and it's still a classic. Fits and feels great!

With this update the Torin goes from a good shoe to a great shoe! The added cushioning and updated feel make it very comfortable from step in to miles later. And the tongue is a huge improvement!

Just a great all-round shoe. Comfortable, durable, well made. Fits well. Good for running long distance, or just walking the dogs. Highly recommend this shoe. Black and white colorway is great as well.

The majority of my Altra shoe rotation take me from the roads to the gym and everywhere in between.
The new updates gave the shoe a nice worn in feel and will easily find its place in the rotation.
I wear a size 12 and the shoes run true to size.
The 2mm addition to the stack height is a subtle yet very effective touch.
These shoes will make a great choice for gym sessions, walks, runs long and short.
I would also recommend the Torin 7 for everyday use and anyone that might be on their feet all day.

This shoe is more true to size than then 6, and much more durable (so it seems so far). I also feel the cushion allows for one of the smoothest rides yet.

I'm a regular runner of 20-30 miles/week and was already a fan of the Torin 6. I've had three runs in the Torin 7s so far. I find the Torin 7 fits similarly to the 6. I notice the added cushioning without feeling like there is added bulk. It fits well around my ankles while leaving my toes free. Overall, an excellent shoe.

Big improvement on the previous Torin. Original foot-shape in a modern shoe. The tongue of the new shoe wraps around your foot much more comfortably than the previous iterations.
