I run 20-25 miles a week. I first purchased Torin 4.5s. I absolutely loved them, wasn't very happy when I purchased the 6s, they broke down quickly and seam separated on the sides after 200 miles. I still have my 4.5s.... These Torin 7s with the higher stack height feel so amazing compared to the 6's and the tongue being more comfy are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever owned. I have about 60 miles on them and I am very happy. We will see as far as durability goes but looking at the material on the sides I think they reinforced it. I purchased the Wides and they feel like Altras did a few years ago.

I run about 40 miles/week and need a fair amount of room in the toe section of the shoe. These shoes are perfect. After running in them for just two weeks, I bought a second pair to keep for the next cycle. Great job, Altra!

I was in the need of a new pair of running shoes after my teenager started wearing mine. Wasn't sure which model to get and I am happy to report that the toe box in these are big enough for my real people toes. After starting to wear Altras my toes have drifted apart a bit and I no longer have ingrown toe nails from other brand shoes pushing my toes together. These shoes have the most cushioning that the previous models and they are comfy and have worked fine.

This was a huge upgrade from the 6s - much improved comfort and quality. I've used it for daily easy runs, long runs, and it's still streamlined enough for faster paces. Overall it's a great combination of cushion, responsiveness and comfort out of the box and has become my go to shoe.

The extra 2mm of cushion in midsole made this shoe so much more comfortable for daily wear and my 3-5mi runs. Shoe quality seems higher than my Torin 6 pair and I love the black and white color way.

Altra finally got it right with this one. I've tried the Torins 6 and they were awful. These ones have been great so far. Have logged in over 100 miles since I got them and still loving them.

I had to stop buying Torins somewhere after model 2.5 because Altra started making the toebox too narrow. That left me with only the Lone Peak with the original fit. The new Torin 7 wide is successful.

This is my 4th pair of Torins. Version 8 has some minor changes that I think will help the shoe hold up better over time. Overall it's the same great shoe that is slightly better than the 6. Highly recommended

I was and am still blown away by these right out of the box! I have fallen arches in both feet, planners fasciitis in both feet and Morton's neuroma In the right foot. I switched from Brooks ghost 15s to these and will not go back! Your sales rep Kevin Patterson went above and beyond to address the issues with my feet and suggested this shoe and I'm sure glad he did. Give that man a raise ASAP!!!

The Torin 7 is a wonderfully improved version. The updated cushioning makes it feel both soft and responsive. Additionally, the new, padded tongue and heel collar are significant improvements.

As an older runner (almost 50) I feel things more than I used to. I've tried Nike, Hokas, Brooks and many other running shoes and would come home somewhat broken after a good run. Then I found the Torin (ideal for ppl who's foot is in a more neutral position). I can now run for 10-15-20k and feel freaking awesome. Love, love, love these shoes!

I have run over 30 Miles in this shoe. It is my first pair of Altra's and I am really enjoying these Torin 7's. Midsole has is protective while being responsive. No issues with upper. Very versatile.

These are an improvement on the Torin 6's I thought were close to perfect for me. The tongue is more substantial and eliminates the one issue I had with the 6's. Nice cushion without being too much. I love the shoe so let's get a few more color options!

I have worn men's size 9 Torins for years. The Torin 7 is now the best. I did have to order the wide to accommodate my left foot bone that sticks out too much. While I like the blue it came in would really like the grey in wide too. Will you be adding any colors to the wide option for this shoe? I wear a men's size 9 wide in the Torin 7.

I have ran in all the earlier Torins and I think this is the best one ever. They got the tongue right. They have more cushion than the 6. Wow!! This is perfect mix between cushion and performance. I will be getting another pair. Zero drop has made my knees feel so much better. Thanks Altra!!

Only issue I have is when I lace up in the top hole, the laces are too short. Barley make a bow.

Purchased one week ago. So far these shoes are fantastic. Much improved over the Torin 6 and added a bit more cushion. The zero drop is wonderful to my knees. The upper is much improved and has a softer more durable feel.

I usually wear 8 in Altra but had to go down 7.5 as they are a little bigger. Also the tongue is great! Thank God fixed it so don't cut your foot! I ordered a wide and I an loving them! Feel like the Esclante 3 with cushion. I m ordering a second pair!

I didn't want to do a review until I had a a good number of runs in. They work great, and the room I'm the toe box is noticeable, and welcome! For starters, I've done my share of running. Over the last 7 years I have become an avid runner. Have done multiple Ragnars among other events. This season, I'm up to about 3-4 miles and continuing on my way up. I have run in a few different brands, and feel I can give a thoughtful review of these as a solid casual runner. First, Zero drop: I will say that the zero drop takes some getting used to. I knew this going in. I'm not going into the various arguments on why it's good or not. I've got a lot of runner friends, that's how I got into running, and I've been around all the debates. The zero drop doesn't bother me, but I do like running more for speed. I run about a 7:30-8min mile, same pace every time, so I work my way up to a half marathon distance every year. I like a shoe that propels me forward a bit more. So will I go back, likely, but I would still run in these for casual runs despite liking a rise in my competitive shoes. Cushion: I like the level of cushion that these provide. But to describe it, you need to know I'm not a soft-sole, major cushion runner. I like ground feel in both running and basketball. These shoes have the right amount of it for me. It's not a pillow ride, which is good. Let's me feel like I'm propelling off the ground, so check the box on comfort for my tastes. Toe box: this is where the shoes shine for me, the shape of the toe box really is comfortable, noticeable, and I like it. It's one of those things where I didn't know I wanted it till running with it. I don't have a wide foot, nor a narrow one, so all shoes have felt fine, but these felt great! So based on these three things, I definitely find value for runners in these shoes. It may come down to how you feel about zero-drop. So this is how I'll use them. When I'm going for time and pushing myself, I'll probably stick to what I've got. But when I'm out for a more relaxing run, which means I'm more going for distance, these Altra Torin 7s will do the trick as I don't lean forward as much on those runs. Great for those more leisurely runs.

I have not used a zero drop shoe in a few years. This was a great introduction back to it. Nice cushioning and very responsive and love the wide toe box
