I do about 30 miles a week and have gravitated towards Hoka for the comfort. I was skeptical at first with the paradigms, knowing that the wrong shoes make my arches and ankles ache after a run.
I was pleasantly surprised that the whips on the support were very comparable.
Very light weight, comfortable and wider than a normal shoe which provides better comfort.
Would recommend.
Disclaimer: I've only put 60 miles on them so I can't speak to the durability or wear.

These shoes fit my feet perfectly and the comfort it provides is top-notch! I feel supported when I am out running when I wear the Paradigm 7's and I feel at ease. I can run over uneven terrain and I feel like my feet are protected from outside objects. After my run, I don't have an aches or pains because the cushion on my feet gives me the comfort and support I need. I like the style on the gray/lime and the lime has a glow-y type of look to it that makes it stand out, which I like. Great shoes for those who run occasionally or religiously!

This was my first pair of Altra running shoes and I must say that they have exceeded my expectations. I've heard talk for years about their "foot shape" shoes and it really does make a difference. At first, the toe box felt too loose from what I had experienced with other shoes. But one I started using them for various activities (running, walking, general use) they felt perfect. Great job, Altra!

A great running shoe for someone who has totally fallen arches and significant overpronation.
I have to use certain shoes for overpronation or I won't be able to run more than once a week.
I have stuck with 2 other brands, and this is the first Altra shoes I have owned. They're not as "stylish" as other brands, but if your overpronation is as bad as mine, you're more concerned with the cushion and support of the shoes.
That's where these shine. I was able to run, pain free, with barely any breaking in period, and the stability left me pain free. For overpronation runners, these merit serious considerations

One of the standout features of these tennis shoes is their exceptional comfort. The shoes are well-padded and provide ample cushioning, making them comfortable to wear for extended periods. The supportive insoles and arch design offer great stability and help reduce fatigue during physical activities. Additionally, the shoes have a snug fit that conforms to the shape of my feet, ensuring a secure and comfortable feel throughout the day.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the MEN'S PARADIGM 7 shoes, and I must say, they exceeded my expectations. As an avid runner and fitness enthusiast, finding the right pair of shoes is crucial for both performance and comfort. The Paradigm 7 shoes delivered on both fronts.First and foremost, let's talk about the comfort level of these shoes. The moment I slipped them on, I was impressed by the plush cushioning and the well-padded collar that provided excellent ankle support. The shoes feature a generous toe box that allowed my toes to splay naturally, preventing any discomfort or cramping during long runs. The midsole cushioning offered a great balance of responsiveness and impact absorption, making each stride feel smooth and comfortable.

These are very nice, but I prefer the Olympus via wish you would offer more colors in that shoe.
Also, your sizes are limited and the shoes you have in that style Olympus is perfect for standing on concrete and walking

I got these as my daily shoe. I love Altras and the wide toe box is nice as always. I trusted their fit guide and that was a mistake I think. The shoes run a half size to small. I have a Morton's toe and that probably didn't factor into their sizing. My recommendation for anyone with a Morton's toe is to go at least a half size larger.

I have a previous pair of Paradigms 7 size 9 1/2. Ordered a brand new pair and these new fit the same as my year old pair that were stretched out. Double checked the tags and sizing shoe to shoe and it appears they were a half size big than the original pair. Need to improve quality and sizing control or buy in person to make sure size matches. This new pair was ordered directly from Altra. Next pair will be in person only.

When looking at the picture, this shoe looked black and white. When getting the shoe in person it looks more charcoal and grey. Grey shoe. Misleading picture

Seems altra has followed the same path all other shoe companies are doing, they are making shoes narrower. It's sad because I moved from On cloud to altra when On did the same thing. These are still wider than On, but if the make them any narrower I will be in trouble. Otherwise the shoes are nice, wish they make a few more options in size 14.

Better than the 6 for lace length, size, and outsole durability. The 6 ran small length wise, had short laces and a problem with outsole peeling. The 7 is still not as good as the 5. Please remake the Paradigm 5.

These might be my favorite pair of sneakers that I've ever owned when it comes to fit and performance. The wide toe box, 0mm Toe-to-Heel drop, and GuideRail support are awesome. They truly feel great on my feet. The disappointing thing is that the fabric used for the inner heel of the shoes is not durable. In less than 6 months of walking a few miles a day either on the treadmill or road, I've blown the heels out in two different pairs of Paradigm 7s. The first pair I exchanged for a new pair at the store from which I purchased after less than 2 months. The new pair (pictured) have been in use since March 19 (this review written on June 5). I understand that I must have something going on with my heels rubbing but my expectation is that they would have lasted a little longer regardless. All that said, I'd still probably recommend these to someone who needs shoes with a wide toe box and good arch support.

Upon first putting on the shoes I was tempted to send them back and had all the paperwork and place to do such. After wearing them a good week or two the foot bed settled into my foot and now the fit is perfect. I'm well pleased with the paradigms and we'd buy again.

This is my second pair of Paradigms after buying several pair of Torin Plush. While I still prefer the Paradigms over the Torins, despair is not as comfortable as my last pair. They don't seem to have as much cushion. I use them for the gym and walking. At almost 68, my running days are over. However, they still fit well, and I would buy them again.

For a little context I have been using Altra shoes for about 3 years now. The paradigm 6 were my favorite shoe by far! I went through about 6 pairs. I am a consistent runner averaging about a half marathon minimum on my long runs. These shoes are great, in my opinion they are a bit more narrow than the previous model which is something I really enjoyed about the 6. These are also a bit more firm on the cushion and not as responsive, it isn't bad but I wish it were a tad bit more softer cushion like the previous version. Overall the shoe is great and still one of my favorite for my over all training shoe.

I've been running in the last two gens of the Paradigm for a little while now and is a great shoe, this new one is no exception in terms of fit and performance. However, the Black color this year is NOT black at all...not even close. It is a deep hunter green fabric with black accents. Contacted Altra and they are aware of the issue and the misleading photos but they didn't say why it happened or when they will fix them. I normally go for bright shoes, but I really wanted just a pair of black shoes for a trip so they would be a little less loud...while these are dark, they are absolutely green in the day light and it's hard to unsee it. Will probably just keep them since I need a high milage walking shoe....but such a disappointment on the color. The only up side is that the sole is medium gray...not white like the picture.

Fit was good and the feel was excellent. they did not last as long as I would hope for a $170 shoe.

Great shoe with good cushioning and comfortable on long runs. I indicated that fit and width are true to size, but these fit about a half size larger than other running shoes. In normal shoes, I wear a 9.5 with standard width, but typically need a size 10 wide running shoe. These fit fine with a 9.5 regular width.

With an avg. of 20-2-miles a week, these have been great. But if you are looking for a responsive, cushioned run, these are about 75% of the way there. The stability is amazing, but if you are looking for a cushioned feel, these could DEFINITELY be better. After the first week of running I already noticed a slight tear in the toe box. They have been amazing for 5-10mi runs, but I would not recommend them for any distance longer than that. If you want a responsive, cushioned feel these are not it.

I do group fitness classes in these shoes. First of all they are not black. They are more of a dark blue color. The no drop/neutral stride is okay but I prefer my Hoka's over these. Overpriced IMHO.

My wife, who has run in these shoes for years, finally convinced me to try them a couple of years ago. They've been great. My only concern is that they don't seem to last very long--less than a year. Though I usually down cycle them to regular daily wear for another eight or nine months.

I really enjoyed the fit of this shoe and the expanded toe box is a welcoming change. I haven't put a ton of miles on them, but the shoes seem to be holding up well and should make it for many more miles. The shoes are very lightweight and quite comfortable. I did get a blister on the back of my heel due to a higher than I'm used to heel tab.
