I'm a 28yo male 5'11" with an athletic build, and I bought this jacket in size M (navy). Overall, this jacket is fantastic, super versatile, and exactly what you'd expect from TNFreliable quality and performance.
In 4060F weather, it keeps me perfectly warm with just a t-shirt underneath. If the temperature drops below that, you'll likely need an extra layer. The insulation does a great job trapping body heat while remaining breathable. It handles light rain (typical Seattle weather) very well, as it's water-resistant but not fully waterproof. A minor downside is that I've noticed a few feathers escaping after a couple of standard washes, but this can happen with down jackets.
Regarding pockets: Some reviews were unclear about whether it has an inside pocket, so let me clarifyit doesn't have a classic inner chest pocket. The jacket only includes two zippered side pockets. However, the lining of these side pockets isn't fully stitched at the top on the inside of the jacket. While this technically creates an extra "pocket," it's not designed for use, and you'll feel anything stored there when using the side pockets.
Since the product doesn't advertise an inner pocket, this isn't a dealbreaker for me. The jacket performs exactly as promised, so it's still a solid 5 stars.

I have this version for when it's below freezing. The Apex Bionic for most days, and the Antora for rainy days. Love my TNFs.

It's a coat. Not too puffy. Hate these "pat us on the head for not screwing up" review requests that ALWAYS arrive after purchase anything these days.

The Aconcagua jacket is an excellent choice for cold days, offering just the right amount of warmth without being overly bulky. The puffiness strikes a perfect balanceneither too much nor too littlemaking it comfortable and flattering. Additionally, the color is subtle yet iconic, adding a touch of timeless style to its practicality. It's a reliable and stylish winter essential!

Excellent winter coat! Lightweight but very warm. Good quality zippers and deep pockets both inside and out. Petro blue is such a cool color. This one will get me through the Midwest winter in style!

Nice & warm. Comfortable to wear, even with many layers on (I also ordered men's jacket for that reason as opposed to a woman's for myself. It also gave me some more length that way).
