Fantastic for outdoor adventures! It's completely waterproof and windproof, and the Gore-Tex Pro fabric feels durable yet flexible. The details like helmet-compatible hood and pit zips make it super functional. A bit pricey, but worth every penny for serious hikers and climbers!

An amazing jacket that is truly all round. It's just light enough to be used in the summer over a t shirt and just heavy enough to wear backcountry skiing. The coverage and cut are great for mobility and protection. Love the drop hood!

This shell is an amazing rain jacket. I bought mine in 2021. Recently, on a 6-day, 5-night spring Smokies Mountains trip, it rained hard every day except for the days when it was snowing! Needless to say, it was cold and wet. Out of our group of 8 hikers, I was the only one with an Arcteryx jacket (the Beta AR), and I was the only one in the group that stayed dry throughout the trip. After the trip I noticed some delamination on the sleeves, but Arcteryx warranty is excellent and they covered the replacement cost of the jacket. Buy the jacket, use it, enjoy it, and wash it more often than you think you should.

From ice climbing the Slheimajkull glacier in Iceland to the backcountry of the Canadian Rockies. From snowboarding steep lines to treks through the Anidies. This jacket is truly an all 'round jacket.

Perfect on its own, our paired with an Atom or Kyanite underneath, this shells wind and water proofing cannot be beaten. The adjustability of the hood, as well as the ventilation and taped seams make it an amazing piece that everyone should have in their outdoor arsenal.

Stylish jacket which has some excellent practical features. Although some have complained about the arm length I have found this to be a perfect fit. The extra length means that when I pair it with my cerium jacket the shell sleeves cover all of the mid layer and don't ride up with certain movements. In time I'm sure this jacket will serve me well in my outdoor pursuits. Only negative is that it's more costly than other market equivalents.

I've had this jacket about a year now, only one winter. When layered properly this thing is solid in the snow. Rest of the year I wear it on its own when it rains and it's perfect. Doesn't get better than this!!

Such a great jacket, super durable. Use it for hiking, dayuse, powerwashing, through heavy brush and it's stood the test of time, thinking of getting another one just to change it up

This jacket is amazing! I knew it would be but aside from the quality and durability I am very grateful for their customer support. My jacket was stolen off my porch before I even got home but they hooked me up with another one and for that I'll be a return customer. 5'10" 190 pounds and got an XL for a good all mountain look and to accommodate for mid layers.

Build quality and attention to detail on this jacket are wonderful. Waterproof zipper seals, vents, inner and outer pockets, vents, and hood design are some of the features I really appreciate. Love the new 2-toned colours this year for this jacket. This one is going to get a lot of use this year in the mountains!

Perfect for spring days and in general warmer days on the mountain. Ultra light & packable and it protects me from Wind, Snow, Rain and is super resistant for any mission on and off the Mountain. Really like the fit of the Jacket.

Bought the jacket almost 10 years ago, still my go to shell for rain, mountain biking, trekking to skiing. 5 years ago the heat-sealed seams started to split apart. I asked customer service what could be done, they made me send the jacket to their lab in Switzerland and re-stitched the whole jacket .. for free!! Unbelievable quality, supreme customer service. I have now atoms, beta, gammas and other gear- super happy.

I'm very impressed with the cut and fit of this jacket. The manufacturer thought creatively regarding the range of movement required for various outdoor sports. The underarm gussets and extra sleeve length work well for overhead reaching while wearing a pack or harness. Of course the Goretex Pro provides excellent protection from the elements while remaining very breathable. Combined with the underarm vents, comfort on the move is easy to achieve. I'm certainly glad that I chose the BETA AR with the independent stand collar and fully adjustable hood. Whether wearing a helmet or not, you can always adjust the hood for the perfect fit. Thanks Arc'teryx

I bought this to replace a 20ish year old Beta LT jacket...could not be happier. Bit lighter than the ARs I have had in the past and is perfect for what I needed it for...around town and hiking rain protection. Plus, it has that Arc'Teryx look which fits great. 5' 10", 190lbs, athletic build, Large fits perfect with some layering room to spare.

I have had this jacket for almost 10 years and am looking at replacing it with a new one. It is a great 3 season jacket and layers very nicely for winter. I love the collar. This is the only jacket of this quality I have seen with this type of collar. The only downside is are the pockets. They are not plentiful to start off with and the inside pocket is too small to fit my iPhone Pro Max. Even with this I will buy another.

Recently bought this jacket and used it for the first time on a trip to Park City, Utah. I wanted a versatile shell that I could use for skiing, snowmobiling, and anything else I needed it for. This jacket worked great. Took plenty of falls on the slopes and had zero issue. The fabric is a good thickness and very durable. I would recommend this as a good all around shell. I'm 275 lb and bought an XXL. Wasn't oversized but gave a good amount of room for layering underneath.
