I like the combination of moderate amount of water-resistant and wind-resistant nature without being a stiff looking jacket, but also not too serious-looking. It is warm enough for New England fall weather. I consider this a slim fit, so layering is not really an option

I bought it 4 weeks ago and I very happy by wearing.

After getting my Gamma MX Hoody I tested the jacket hiking three picks over 4000 meter (Monte Rosa area) in one day. The jacket is comfortable and technically well fitting to alpinism activity

I purchase this jacket a few weeks ago and I have not really put it to the test just yet as its pretty warm up here in the North East USA. The fit how ever is spot for my 5' 10" 145-150lbs body and my waist size is 32".

This is not a jacket I use when spending time in the backcountry. While it love it for its breathability, water resistance and wind resistance, it's simply too heavy and bulky to throw into my pack when I'm not wearing it. A lighter weight soft shell is much more versatilebetter when moving faststill wind resistant, more breathable and when I need a higher level of water resistance, I put on my lightweight hard shell. This jacket does, however, excel as an everyday jacket, for all the reasons described above. Plus, it looks awesome! It is the perfect combination between outdoorsy and dressy. I can wear this to the office on a sketchy days and then on drizzly cold days hikes on the weekend. I'm 6'-2" tall, weight 190 lbs and wear a size large. Fits perfectly.

I bought this because I needed a lightweight, breathable, warm, windbreaking jacket for when I ride my bicycle at night when it's cool (or in the day when it's cool or rainy of course). I tried on many other jackets form around the mall but these fit so well. My test ride tonight went as well as I could expect. I didn't overheat but it kept me warm. I appreciated being able to zip it up all the way to keep wind out of front, and zip it down to get extra cooling when needed. Looks and function, hard to beat! The medium fits me perfectly. I usually wear a medium or large.

love the Gamma MX Hoody, wasnt to sure about it at first but fell in love with not long after, great shell i used over the winter for many purposes such as hiking, ice climbing, snowboarding, hanging around a fire, doing errands around town.. its a great alternative for something to wear inbetween an atom lt and a beta ar. alot of the times i wore it over my Atom Lt and was a perfect match for me, was warm, breathable and was impressed with the durable water repellent as a few quick snow storms would cruz by and it did the job greatly. when ever im going on road trips for work for a few days or so, this would be my go to jacket for that extra layer.

The Fortius fabric used stands up to every activity I put it through. A favourite piece of gear. PLEASE produce this in a wider variety of earth tones colours, like your foliage colour, but also olive, tan, etc (or similar). These colours could even be marketed as a 'support the earth' campaign, or silmilar. These colours are much better for wildlife watching/photography, and lend a more sedate look for those who don't want to wear the brighter colours. I love mine in black, will buy another if the right colours come along!

166 lbs/5'9"/40" chest. Medium fits great. I'm a solid men's medium in most "regular fit" Arcteryx jackets (eg Gamma MX and Atom AR). Fit and finish are premium. Thoughtful pockets. Embroidered logo is nice. Haven't had much of a chance to wear it yet, but am looking forward to putting it to the test.

Bought this for a recent trip to Japan. We knew the weather would be colder than we were used to (50-30) and I wanted a jacket I could use in the cold & rain in Tokyo. I was pleasantly surprised that this jacket worked out perfectly; great fit, perfect pocket placement (i.e. for Cell phone), and great protection from the elements while never being too hot. I plan on getting another one.

I own 5 of these jackets, some with hoods, some without. I wear them year around, by themselves and with my various Arcteryx hardshells...Been buying Arcteryx ofr over 38 years, so I must be great products to keep me coming back...

I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and used it in variable weather conditions. And I'm really satisfied to my Gamma MX Hoody. Also the size fits me perfectly allowing to use warm mid layer or not.

It id something I am looking for. The work are done professionally. Well inform of delivery and waiting time is short. Definitely a return customer.

I got this a few weeks ago, and it really kept me warm standing in the front of O Hare airport when the temps were in the low 20's and the wind was howling waiting for my ride.

All around soft shell jacket can wear it for any temp, any environment

I've been looking for a do-it-all softshell layer for ages now and I feel like I finally found it. There's enough space to layer a base top and fleece underneath it without feeling like I'm cinching the zipper over my layers. I've worn this in (windchill-adjusted) weather down to -10 C with such a system and it's shown its value in spades. I wouldn't wear this jacket during moderate- or high-output cardio since it feels more hefty, but there are lots of other choices for staying warm and dry while you move.

Don't care what temperature this jacket is rated for. I wore it across 3 continents and many temperatures in the sun and in the snow. The reason it's so hard to find anywhere, is because it's that good. Don't buy one, there will be more for me. Seriously though, Arc'teryx should consider a pocket or two on the inside. All else is great.

This jacket is amazing! It's what I have expected form Arc'teryx, comfort, performance, durability, beautiful lines and finish! I got the light blue and now considering getting the pink color as well. That's how amazing this jacket is! I am 5'4" and 130 lbs and size S is perfect!

I recently bought the Gamma MX and now have done two hikes. The first hike this coat actually turned out to be a bit overkill. I went for a hike this morning and the coat was perfect. I added a fleece layer under part way and kept at just the right temp. I also have been wearing the coat around town and have loved it for this as well. This has become my go to coat for everything.
