So stoked on my new Atom. I had the previous Atom LT (RIP) in a size Small, but decided to size up to a Medium for a little more room for layers and it's perfect. The Small size in the Atom LT I had always fit just right and was super functional while sport climbing and bouldering, but I wanted juuuust a bit more room and coverage since the Small hit right at the waist. The 'Boxcar' colorway is pretty easy on the eyes as well.

Own lots of Arcterx primarily for daily use in Colorado mountains, and finally bought the Atom and love how warm and breathable it is for such a light layer. It will be very useful in moderate temperatures and for winter it is a terrific middle layer. Boxcar colorway is cool.

I wear this almost every day. Both around town, for colder exercise, and in the mountains.
I love the the versatility and functionality. It offers a layer of protection from precipitation and wind, yet stays warm.It can act as an outer layer or mid layer, plus it doesn't mind high output activity. Great to have in your layering system.

I've been using now Atom (LT) hoody about five years as my outer layer winter biking in Finland. Mostly my layering in winter for biking is synthetic thin long sleeve base shirt and fleece shirt and top of them Atom LT hoody. I go with this till temperature drops about under -15C. Then I change the basic base shirt to merino wool base layer. This has worked for me so far.
The hood and its' adjustment are good. I don't use a helmet. The hood works well with a simple beanie.
Pockets are good. Handwarmer pockets have this soft fabric which feels good and add little bit warmth.
One interior chest pocket has zipper which is important so the wallet and/or cellphone stay secured. Also it's very good that the chest pocket is inside and not outside. This way outside of the jacket stays clean. There is no reason why outdoor clothes shouldn't be good looking and stylish. More simple, the better.
All the zipper pullers are ok but could be a bit bigger so using them with gloves would be easier.
The hem adjustment is good.
Cuffs are ok. It's very important that isolation jackets have cuffs with elastics, not velcros. Velcros don't add any good, just opposite. They cling to everything and add unnecessary thing to take care of. And again elastics make the jacket operates simple and well and they look good.
I have a suggestion for colour range. Make this jacket and also several others insulated men's jackets like Thorium Hoody, Atom Heavyweight Hoody, Cerium Hoody and Thorium SV Hoody in that beautiful luxurious Arctic Silk colour what you use in women jackets. Or that Warm Stone colour is also great. It's time for men get also this creamy colour to outdoor jackets, not only women! It's great colour for allround, for town and slopes.
I would buy Thorium Hoody if it were in either of those colours. And not any silly two tones! One colour per jacket.

I bought this jacket about a month ago and I love it. I've hiked on multiple trails with it, through both sun and rain (the water resistance on this garment is great!) This jacket is light weight enough that I can comfortably move quickly over broken terrain, but warm enough that I can hunker down at the top of a mountain trail while I eat or drink some water. Fantastic jacket that you won't regret buying.

This is the undisputed industry leader in lightweight layering and versatility. High performer from backcountry to town, travel, and beyond. Fits great and drapes beautifully. Stylish under a flannel or a Barbour but I've been silently enduring a major design flaw for years. The colors are unworkable . Year after year after year. I own two of these and would buy a new one every year to flesh out my wardrobe, but you need to rethink your palette. You need to "Blanket Shirt" this thing. A wider range of colors is needed. Make sure there is always a choice of three colors to go with a few fashion brands including standard shackets by Outerknown, Filson, Pendleton and even a Barbour. There should always be two neutrals on offer (one warm, one cool), a range of blacks/greys, and a midnight blue (mine is Kingfisher), and an understated earth tone option every season (think chocolate smoke) for layering under a flannel. Keep one signal color per season and probably you need to add a "tactical" color, but keep it down low and change it once a year. I am literally tired of only being able to buy one of these every two or three years because the colors don't work with street wear. When I'm in the mountains or on the water, there's nothing that works better and I don't give a hoot what color it is for backcountry try use. Start focusing on fashion please.
I gave this advice, as a Patagoniac, to the design team at your main competitor. They ignored my advice and now they are being buried by sustainable fashion brands that have learned to craft performance pieces that actually look good on the street in London Paris or Milan. ArcTeryx is the king of technical pieces. Play it smart and you will stop driving loyalists like me away with your weird colors.

Borrowed this coat from a relative and loved it so much, I went and bought one. It is extremely versatile, comfortable and warm. I had hesitated because of the price, but I've already worn it more than my other jackets.

This jacket brings me joy. Part of that is the Lampyre color, which is great and reminds me of saltwater taffy, but it feels so good when it slides on. It's not oppressive like you need to run out of the house before you sweat out, and it's warm enough to keep you cozy down to around 35(F) if you keep moving.
This was purchased for evaluation on demanding uphills this ski season while searching for a layering system that manages very-high-output activities well. The Tyono fabric isn't as breathable as I would have liked for that purpose, and a lofted insulation layer will always be suspect when considering the moisture-management requirements of those types of activities. Still, I like this jacket so darn much I can't bring myself to part with it. It's just so comfortable.
I feel like the tech is a bit outdated as a piece of active-insulation when considering alternatives like the Fortius face fabric of the Proton lineup and the Octaloft insulation (Proton lightweight hoody), with the former being more breathable, stretchy, and (in the case of the octaloft) much more capable of clearing out moisture. But I'm open to being surprised. This has earned a place in my gear closet already just for being so nice to wear. We'll see how it holds up against frigid ski ascents later in the year. Whatever the results of that test; this jacket is a keeper.

One of the comfiest jackets I own! You can tell its a high quality product upon first feel.
Solid mid or outer layer depending on the elements. Great wind resistance and water repellency. Can be a bit warm if its not too cold out and you're doing some physical activity, but its a great item for fall/winter.

I bought the Atom LT in 2011 and I still wear it to work every day. I'm a mechanic so I have put a couple stains on it that were my fault, but the jacket itself still looks brand new. I've destroyed G-Shock watches, work boots, jeans, and safety glasses but the jacket survived everything. I'm writing a review because a friend asked where I got it and I started reading reviews on the new version after I sent him the link so I figured it was time lol. I haven't had to buy a jacket in 13 years. It's been with me across the States, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. You really can't go wrong the the Atom.

This jacket is everything as great as everyone says it is. Outer is malleable yet durable, worn this jacket primarily for the last year and there are no signs of wear and tear. Surprising temperature range, worn comfortably standing around in a t-shirt in 32F weather with relatively high humidity. Overall design is fantastic, zipper is easy to actuate, fleece lined pockets add a little more comfort and warmth, hood has good coverage. Fit is fantastic, I'm 6'3 and 155lbs and bought a size large. I have a little room to mess with layers. Great from both a casual and technical standpoint. I use it for everything, general use, skiing, hiking, backpacking, fly fishing, and others I can't think of. It's my favorite jacket bar none.

Surprising temperature range, I've worn it comfortably with just a t-shirt standing around in 35F weather with relatively high humidity. Overall design is fantastic, zipper is easy to actuate, fleece lined pockets add a little more comfort and warmth, hood has good coverage. Fit is wonderful, 6'3 and 155lbs and the large is perfect. Definitely fits me a little looser than some of my friends, but that's to be expected. Gives me a little extra room to mess with layering. Very wearable overall, from a technical and casual standpoint. It's my favorite jacket.

Best jacket I own! This jacket is light, comfortable, warm and its design is great. Would recommend it to anyone. I use it as an insulation layer and top jacket during different activities or just as a daily jacket.

I bought this jacket 2-3 years ago when it was the LT. This is the best jacket I have ever owned. It keeps me warm in almost every temperature where I live. It also never gets too hot inside either.

The Atom is my go to for alpine days or just cruising around town. Keeps me pretty warm when needed and is stylish but functional for climbing days as well. This is probably the jacket I grab 90% of the time!

Traded in a very old atom (via ReGear) and picked up a current one! Fit is the same and incredibly warm. It actually feels just a bit warmer than the old Atom LT (Feels like it's between LT and AR - but I could be wrong). Perfect for a walk around town in fall and early winter. 10/10 would recommend.

You cant go wrong with this jacket. A timeless classic, warm, versatile and stylish. I use mine while hiking, fishing and commuting to work. I practically live in this jacket. I have both the new revised "Atom Hoody" and the older "Atom LT Hoody". They look and feel identical to me (I'm using XL).
