The Atom Hoody works well as a midlayer and a standalone piece in mild conditions. Its versatility is unmatched, making it my go-to choice for various outdoor activities. One of the standout features of the Atom Hoody is its excellent ventilation. Whether you're on the move or taking a break, it effectively wicks away moisture, keeping you comfortable and dry throughout your adventure. The atomoffers decent wind protection, providing a shield against chilly breezes without compromising breathability. I've found that the fit of the Atom Hoody is just right, allowing for easy layering without feeling too bulky. This makes it perfect for wearing under a shell jacket during colder days or as a standalone piece on milder days. The attention to detail in its design, such as the adjustable hood and zippered pockets, adds to its functionality and practicality.

My first Atom Hoody. I love it. Perfect fit - tight but not too tight. If you prefer a wider fit, take a size larger than normal.

Kjpte denne for noen dager siden. Fin passform. God kvalitet. Varm. Fin jakke som passer til bruk alene, men og godt som isolerende under skallejakke.

This is my 4th Atom and again a great piece of all round Kit. Warm comfortable for all year round use .I have 2 old size xxl and 2 XL to use under other kit as a mid layer. New advert 2024 says "Fitted Fit - This trimmer fit is patterned to stay close to the body through the chest, waist, hip, and thigh" This is NOT correct. I bought a XXL thinking it would be Trimmer than my existing one but its about 2" bigger in the chest and has longer arms?? I sent it back and bought an XL and its perfect - slightly bigger than the old XL.

Excellent all-arounder! I was looking for a jacket to fill multiple purposes and this one fit the bill. I live in northern Nevada and mornings/evenings can get chilly so I wanted a jacket to ward off a lower temp that isn't overly bulky. I'd like to easily shed it when the temps warm without taking a lot of room in the stuff pack or just holding it. We don't get a ton of rainier but when we do, the hood design is nice. The pull strings draw the hood close to your head and will surely withstand windy days (which we get *often*!). Myother jackets have helmet compatible hoods so it's nice to have a normal-sized hood. My second purpose is to have a jacket that I can wear under my AlphaSV when I want something warmer in my layer strategy. I wear a base layer and a mid layer, and I'll tweak the mid layer based on expected temps. This jacket will be a very nice "heavier" mid layer to wear on cold days. This is also my first purchased in the revised sizing. I wear a small in AT shells (traditional sizing) but in the new sizing I wasn't sure where I would land. I bought a Small and Medium expecting to return one. The revised small sizing was too snug in the chest but the Medium fit really nice. Glad I bought both! Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I plan to wear it tonight at the local beer stop... :-)

Great jacket which works really well with my Beta AR when it is really chucking it down. Was out today with both in 6C with heavy rain and warmth and dry delivery was super.

By far one of the best jackets that Arc'teryx makes. It's incredibly versatile, light, packable, and still manages to be warm. I wear this comfortably at 0 C with a tee and crewneck sweatshirt. It blocks wind fairly well and works great as a standalone. I don't often wear it as a mid-layer but it definitely works well. Anytime I have to travel I bring this jacket because I'm often walking a lot during my trips so the jacket regulates my temperature exceptionally well (especially when carrying a bunch of stuff). Reminder that if you're standing still / not moving a lot this jacket will feel a tad cold. I think my only gripe about the jacket is the lack of short sizing and maybe alternate fits. I would love to have a size Small - Short version with 2 inches off the length and maybe 1-1.5 inches off the sleeves. It would also be great if the jacket was offered in other fits like regular and relaxed since the fitted fit of the jacket makes it hard to wear more casual clothes underneath. I'm 5'6 and 135 lbs with a slightly athletic build. I wear size small comfortably but can't wear baggy clothes underneath (e.g., sweaters with a large sleeves).

Just got this jacket delivered - I've heard Arc'teryx products are great but now I can say I've experienced one and great is an understatement. I wanted something lightweight for daily outtings but still warm enough not to freeze walking to grocery store. Well I was surprised how light weight this is - thought maybe it's more for spring until I wore it in the house 10 minutes and I was cooking.

I bought at the beginning of this winter for a mid layer for ice climbing. It's so warm I find my self using it as a soft shell on warm days. Even when damp from sweat and ice it still keeps me warm!

Highly breathable yet warm, I wear this for 3 seasons most days. I basically live in this thing. I have one that is over 10 years old and another that is new. Most adventures that I don't take it with me I regret it. This jacket will always be a staple in my quiver as long as it is made.
