Bought this for the winter season. Only broke it out a few times and during those times, it was toasty.
Used as a standalone, it was still fine down to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Very toasty, very puffy, very nice.

I bought it for my brother as a Xmas gift and he really liked it. He almost wears it everyday, because it is very warm and light. My family is a big fan of Arcteryx' products. We love all their designs, the colours, and how light weight they are.

I wanted a jacket that would be warm with not having to wear multiple layers beneath it and I think Thorium Hoody does that for me. The fit is great, I am 182 cm tall and Medium is spot on. Black color is universal and will last forever and I think this jacket will last with me forever.

Bought recently for something warmer than atom AR. Definitely fits the bill. Very warm, even when I'm standing outside with minimal activity. Hoping the weather gets colder soon so I can really see how good it is.
Fit is great and as expected. Super comfy.

Awesome jacket, perfect for me because I run hot most of the time and can't handle bulky jackets that make me overheat. Great quality that you can expect from Arc'teryx and I'm sure the jacket will last for many years to come. I sized up because I was in between sizes and wanted the option to put a hoodie underneath if needed. Pockets are in the perfect location and the hood isn't to bulky, really this is the perfect everyday jacket!!!!

Love the jacket. Got one question though, how do you loosen the waist hem adjusters? Theres no obvious release for them?

The Thorium Hoody is such a fantastic jacket! I just received the latest version in Tatsu, which is so nice, the best colorway in my opinion. I have the Thorium Hoody, the Beta AR and the Cerium Hoody all in Tatsu, such great pieces to own. My first Thorium Hoody was back in 2022. For me, the repurchase is worth it for the design upgrades. That being the two dump pockets and the hood is now DOWN and not fully Coreloft as the earlier design. The only Coreloft in the hood now is just around the brim of the face and a small three inch by four inch section, which is new, that now covers the back draw string cinch and grommet from shedding water. I would say the hood is now in my unscientific estimation of being 85% down and 15% Coreloft, a real upgrade from the previous version. The sizing is the exact same as the previous version in the medium size. I love the Thorium Hoody so much, such a great piece to have in my arsenal that includes ten different Arc'teryx jackets. A jacket worthy of a 5 star rating!

Warm jacket, I can wear it with 5 C outside with a t shirt only. Perfect fit, I am 170cm 65kg and XS is just about right. Expensive but I'm satisfied. I have seen that sizes have been changed and I am glad, jackets are often too big, when you see an M fitting someone 185cm tall it's a bit ridiculous.

I have used this jacket for a multitude of seasons, and activities. It is consistently my go to for something lightweight, easy to pack, and provides a great fit amongst my other layers.

I am not a "reviewer", but wanted to review this piece. I am 6'1" 165 and a Medium fits perfectly. Some have complained about shorter sleeves but it's not noticeable. Would have liked a more tapered mesh sleeve opening, but just wear gloves with a tight seal.
Coat is comfortable, light, breathable, and WARM. Perfect for walking the Huskie in the snow. Hood is so warm you don't even need a hat. Mouth and neck are comfortably covered.
I spent 12 weeks backpacking through Utah in the middle of the winter. This would have been amazing in the evenings out there.
Looks good. Lots of compliments. Worth it even at full price.

I have been impressed with all Arcteryx products for years now. So, when it was time to trek Mount Everest this year, I knew to invest in the Thorium down jacket. It may have saved my life with many nights below freezing in unheatd lodges. I felt no cold while on the trek as well. It also added very little weight to my porter's burden and will certainly be included on my Kilamenjaro trek next February as well.

Medium fit is great and keeps me warm in 20-30 F weather. I wish i could've gotten the 24k color instead of navy

My go-to jacket during the winter months. Have brought it on many trips thanks to its packability. Warm while maintaining breathability.

Love it. super warm and fits very well, easily fits over a sweatshirt but is not bulky at all. The zipper comes up high on the neck/chin but that's not a draw back, you just have to know that before buying it, i love it for the super cold days.

Great jack. Really warm and fits good. Tough exterior. My 80 lbs Rottweiler tried bitting it and it still didn't puncture. So far not much down leakage or any at all. I would definitely recommend this jacket

Amazing jacket!! So warm, comfortable and convenient, comes with a little bag and doesn't take up any room. I prefer the men's fit over the women's thorium jacket, mainly because it layers really well with sweaters etc. underneath. Would definitely recommend investing!

Great down jacket. Surprisingly warm, in a good way. Fits really well everything lives up to the Arc'Teryx reputation. My only (very small) criticism is that, when done up. the bottom part of the 2-way zipper opens a bit too easily and I find myself regularly having to re-close/pull it back down. Other than that, I'm very happy. I'm mostly using as a stand-alone jacket. I do not use as my primary mid-layer, as it's too warm for that. But as a mid-layer when things are extra cold, this is a home run.

Got the Thorium hoody in preparation for the winter season and I absolutely love the fit and warmth that it provides! It is extremely comfortable and has lots of pockets for my gloves, accessories, and snacks. I spent a day in the mountains and it was a perfect insulation layer to keep me toasty, especially when I wasn't moving.

Warm, packable, perfect for a backcountry backpack. I was deciding between this and the Thorium SV, and I'm happy with my choice. Love that it packs down into a small bag and is perfect for throwing on when between movement on long tours. Looks great for around town wear. The high neck and hood are a game changer for keeping the cold out.

Gained a bit of weight, so it was an excuse to buy another jacket. Upgraded from an Atom Hoody to this Thorium Hoody. Love the warmth, the style (doesn't look like a garbage bag), and the double zipper to free up the belly while driving. Great buy for me. My Atom is still in great condition after 7 years, handed down to my teenager. I'm sure this one would last me as long... Until the next weight gain... With muscles of course. Haha.

Very warm jacket, but not too warm for activity. Exactly what it's supposed to be.

I bought this as a replacement for my non-hooded Thorium AR that I gave to my son. This is a very well-made jacket with high-loft down and a comfortable fit as a stand alone jacket or under my Beta AR Gore Tex Jacket in the wet and snow. I like it when I am traveling and can put it in its stuff sack and keep in my carryon bag if I get stuck somewhere. I think that the quality is exceptional and the color quite visible when I am out in the dark.
