Perfect light weight all around everyday jacket, purchased this before a 7 day long remote trip to Isle Royal MI. Temperatures around 32 to 40 degrees and this jacket with a base layer worked perfect.

It's a great all around jacket. It's probably my second most used jacket beside the Atom SL. It's really light, packable and comfortable. It breathes good and it can get warm with a little activity. Arcteryx needs to bring back Kingfisher colourway and better colours.

A versatile jacketits both warm and able to dump excess heat. The fit is good, and it layers well.

Hubby loves the Atom Hoody, but I prefer him sans hoody. The wear, fit and performance are identical, but looks dressier. He gets a new Atom, or two, every year. Wish that Arcteryx was more inclusive with sizing. Larger people also like quality, performance and being active. It's a 6-star jacket, but loses stars due to company bias, only.

A good jacket for midlayer. Downside is the low and loose collar. It should be taller and fit more snugly like women's version does. The colour Stratus is excellent. Please make it also with Arctic Silk, it would be the perfect colour. And with the tall more snugly collar it would be the perfect midlayer to go with anything.

Pretty cool jacket, okay stand alone piece, seems more like an over priced liner for a hard shell more than anything. Wish its came in a regular fit for us dad guys

Its described as a light and packable jacket and thats exactly what it is. Great looking but very thin and light. I really question how warm it is; not very from my experience. Others seem to really enjoy this jacket but it was simply too thin for me. Held it up to the light and feel like I could almost see through it. I think the thicker version of this jacket would be better suited for my needs, however, a lot of peoples complained about the baggy fit.

What an amazing mid layer, turns out to be way more versatile then I had originally though. Because it is so comfortable, I wear it as a daily coat to run errands. It transitions so well from cold car to warm store. I have also worn it under my sports jacket to get that nice protection on that chilly train platform. But most importantly, its a perfect compliment to my Beta AR hard shell or Hellium soft shell. I still prefer a fleece mid like a Kynite for more active hikes but the Atom is spot on for those colder days. Huge thanks to Adrian at Square One store for helping me pick the right type and size.

I bought this as a stand-alone jacket to wear to and from work. Low 40s in the morning is nothing with this jacket. Its warm, thin, and moves with you. I dont need another layer for the Ohio cold yet. And probably wont with this jacket.

I am on my third Atom - first one was loved so much by my son, I ended buying another. An unfortunate leave behind after a transatlantic flight and well the third was purchased. Super light, warm but not bulky. Cleans easily - I wear one daily as a top layer in MN and as a midlayer while skiing. Best jacket to hike the Highland bowl - put your Sabre in the pack and climb! This might be the best fitting mid-layer I own!

I have owned a few of the Atom and Atom LT jackets over the years and bought one again to replace my worn LT from a few years ago. I've always purchased a Large but the sizing on this new Atom is much bigger than any of the Large I've owned previously. Had to return unfortunately.

I wear this jacket as outer jacket during spring and fall, often carrying a backpack. The fabric tears terribly fast, within months there are visible tear marks / stretches in side panel, underneath the arms and it looks damaged. Customer service suggests the face fabric is not designed for durability hence when there is outerforce fiction the fabric jam up. Okay so don't buy it if you are planning to carry around a backpack and wear it as a standalone jacket. for me this limits significantly the chances to wear the jacket.

I've just weighted both of these and subtracted the hood. Did we lose a lot of coreloft between 2019 and 2023?

I had bought this product several years ago, I tried on a different color in store today and was SHOCKED at how much excessive fabric there is around the waist area. It might as well be a different product at this point. The product used to be better, it was more slim and athletic, but Atom jacket today creates a very unflattering look, please fix it and bring back the old fit! Reminder: Arc'teryx was started as a clothing brand for mountain climbing athletes, and climbers want athletic fit.

Jacket looks sharp and does the job as a layering jacket to keep you warm in mild weather. However, it is extremely delicate and snags easily even with very light city use. Arc'Teryx would not warranty the tear that occurred within the first couple of weeks of light wear and instead installed an ugly black patch over the tear in my blue jacket. The durability of this jacket does not meet expectations for a high-end outdoor garment, and Arc'Teryx has much better options. I do not recommend this product for any use.
