I love this jacket because it casual but still dresses up a pair of jeans and a turtleneck.

This was a gift and she absolutely loved it. Everything about it says high quality. It is not too baggy and has a waist cinch to give it some shape. Buttons, zippers, material are all durable and nice. I would have though the jacket costs more than I paid! Beanflex is legendary stuff.

I really like this jacket and the material it is made with. I kept it although the fit is a little bit large. In LL. Bean clothing, I am either a petite large or petite extra large. It's hard to decide which size to buy depending on the item. Overall , I think it's a jacket that will last me a good long while and it looks stylish enough and classic enough to wear for years.

Overall, very happy with this jacket. The fabric is a nice weight, and the quality is good. It's a great transitional jacket for spring or fall. My only small gripe is that I don't love the shirttail bottom. I would prefer just a regular cut. But other than that, it's a nice looking jacket!

Really liked this jacket--fit, style, color all good but shirt-tail hem is a non- starter. Would have kept if had a straight hem like a jacket should have.

I ordered the dark gray. It had a faded, broken in look that might be what some customers are looking for. The fit was fine. It wrinkled easily. I returned it.

Love the look and style.. a little stiff, but hoping after a few washes, will soften up.

Wish it had a hood. Wish it was a little thinner material. Although this material is OK.

Good jacket, it has nice weight to it, perfect for fall and spring. I am a M-L, usually in between an 8-10, went for the M 10-12 (per LLB sizing), it fits with room to add a layer or sweater underneath. Length is upper mid-thigh (5'7) so it has good length. Love the button detail and hoping the zipper doesn't break, as some other reviewers have noted. Washed and hung dry well, no shrinking.

Beautiful and very useful in the spring and fall. I was really looking for a more lightweight jacket for warmer weather however I will get a lot of use out of it! I would recommend

I just received my jackets today. I purchased the Carbon Navy and Deep Olive in a 2X. The quality is spot on, the fabric stretches for comfort, and I love the 'no collar' collar. However, when I tried the jackets on and cinch the waist, it's about 2 inches higher than my natural waistline. Even leaving the waist uncinched, you can tell the waist is too high. I measured from the back seam that attaches the collar to the jacket to the middle of the waist binding is 16". It's nearly an empire waist. I'm torn between keeping them and wearing them as is, or altering them to remove the waist binding/cinch and take the sides in to give it a more femine look, or return them. Super bummed.

For some reason I thought this jacket was somewhat waterproof - it isn't! Maybe I'll spray with Scotchguard. But fits really well, love the color so 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

The only thing that would make this jacket more perfect is deeper pockets. They barely hold a cell phone and it'll fall out if you sit.

I'm hoping this jacket works for me, as it's not quite cold enough to wear it yet. I bought a similar one from Bean about seven years ago and it was terrific, but I've lost 60 pounds and it's too large now. This one is a little heavier and seems tough and sturdy. I ordered the large, I'm 5'6". The middle and waist fit well but the chest and shoulders are quite narrow. I'm still losing weight so I kept it. It's not too tight but it's on the edge. If I gain any weight it will be too small but if I lose any the XL would be too big. If it shrinks in the wash it will be too small, so we will see. This jacket might not work well for women who are large chested; I'm a 38B.

I needed an "in between season" jacket. Something lighter than my winter jackets and I think this one will be perfect. As always, great quality and good value AND I appreciate having some Bean apparel that does NOT have the name across the front!

This jacket is the epitome of the expectation of what a utility jacket should be both in style and in color. Wear it proudly as it beats others that try to claim that name.

Jacket is well made and well cut, fit is as expected. (I wear a small). Only real issue is the fabric is very stiff, even after washing. I'm hoping a few more washings will soften it up.
