These are cute shoes but unfortunately the tongue of the shoe is too long and digs into my legs. Very strange. They are also not super comfortable with not a lot of cushion on the inside.

Cute shoe. I want to love it, but the tongue is so freaking long! I’m already nervous it’ll rub against the front of my ankle to death and give me some time of blister or scuff. Returning!

Sadly, my shoes arrived already worn. The bottom of each shoe was dirty and there was a scuff on the top of the sneaker so I returned them.

The tongue was too long and rubbed my ankle. I am sad they didn't work out.

I am always between 8.5 to 9. All white was only available in 9, and they were too big. Granted, I only walked around my house in one sneaker, but I didn't notice they were comfortable like many reviewers commented. I don't know if this was a Zappos thing or a Veja thing, but it is the first pair of sneakers I have ever ordered or bought (56) that I had to lace myself. While this may seem like a lazy remark, the lace holes were very tight, so small it hurt to lace; some were almost impossible to push the lace through. Extremely annoying, and I will never repurchase this brand. Thankfully Zappos is fantastic to deal with shipping and returning.

Although I loved the look of this shoe and it felt true to size (I put an orthotic in mine) the leather wasn't comfortable so I sent them back.

Loved these so much. But the comments about the tongue of the shoe are spot on. Design flaw. There needs to be a softer or more padded solution. Hopefully they’ll design that into the next release so I can try again. The rest of the shoe is gorgeous, but not worth the discomfort of how hard the tongue is/how much it rubs. Maybe it would soften over time, but not willing to bet $150 on that and I expect a high quality sneaker to be painless out of the gates.

These run a bit long--almost a half size, and they're quite wide. However, if you manage to find just the right size, you'll need really tough skin to endure these. Breaking in a pair would require undaunted courage.

These are fabulous and gorgeous. However: the tongue is so long that it’s sliced the top of my ankle. I had to cut it myself to make it shorter. Pushing it to the side just didn’t work for me.

I have worked and worked trying to get the tongue to loosen up and quite cutting into the top of my ankle. I still wear them occasionally. But they definitely aren’t suitable for all day wear. If you’re looking for comfort...keep looking.

The tongue of the shoe was too long and stiff. It dug into the top of my foot and was very uncomfortable. It seems a common complaint with these shoes. I went with a different style of Veja, Campo, and they were much more comfortable.

I wanted to love this shoe, it is so nice; however, the tongue of the shoe is way too long and rubs on the top of my foot/ankle which would ultimately cause an issue. I noticed another customer had the same issue as well with the shoes they received.

Like others have said, the tongue is just too high and hits the bottom of my shin!

Tongue is much too long and irritated leg. Toe box could be higher. Foot does not stay in proper place in shoe.

This shoe is difficult to wear. The tongue is too long and very uncomfortable at the ankle. I am returning it.

I wanted to love these but . . . they are narrow in the toe box and wide at the heel. They slipped up and down on my heel and the tongue is too long. Had to return - they are just too uncomfortable :(

Maybe this pair of shoes needed a break in peroid before it becomes comfortable. However, I didnt expect this from a pair of sneakers, moreso with such a popular brand as Veja. The shoes were not comfy on and worse the tongue of the shoe was too long. It hit the front of my ankle which surprisingly caused a wound to develop. I will return it. Am so disappointed because I was wyeing on this pair for a ling time.

This show is so cute and the perfect white sneaker. However, they are INSANELY uncomfortable. The tongue is really stiff and really long and digs into your ankle. I had returned twice, but they are super cute.

They are cute and fit OK but the tongue is so long it’s uncomfortable. Not sure why it’s so long. They seem well made and are stylish though.

uncomfortable especially the left foot too narrow, the tongue is too long and is like a piece of plastic, the edge hurts if you do not wear socks, not worth your money even though the style is nice

They fit nice in the foot bed but the tongue is too long ane rub against the skin.
