The Trace is the perfect shoe for me!! Great toe room, balanced stride, cushy and lovely! I want this exact system in a Golf Shoe! Please Brooks make a Golf Shoe for ME! :)

I love these shoes!! Not too much cushioning at all, which is what I need. I do not need excessive cushioning for my feet and I was wearing the Adrenalines, but the 24s are made with too much cushioning now that I didnt feel good, grounded support in my walks. So I thought I would give these a try and I am so thankful I did - they even help with my plantar fasciitis. I the Traces

I really wanted to like my first pair of Brooks. I bought the Trace 3. These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. Made my feet hurt, tops of feet and bottom. Maybe if I had tried a higher end shoe I would have a different opinion on Brooks shoes. Sad to say, after my experience with these I'll stick with my other brand. I will say, order and shipping was fast and they do seem well made.

I feel this was a good purchase. It's comfortable and I like the way it looks.

I cant run anymore so walk fast on the treadmill, and these are the most comfortable running shoes Ive ever worn. I recently tried 20 different brands/styles of running shoes but returned all of them - except these. I now have them in 4 colors.

Great fitting and comfortable pair of shoes

I bought these sneakers online and wasnt sure if I was going to like the toe bed. Brooks are usually a little chunky. I was pleasantly surprised that these sneakers were more stream lined. The look of the sneaker was much narrower than my other Brooks. I really like them. I bought them in the light gray with purple and peach.

I was looking for something speedier than my Glycerins and I tried on alot of shoes from different brands but kept returning to the Trace 3 and gave them a test drive. These shoes are comfortable out of the box and dont need a lot of break in time. I train in Glycerin and Ghosts but use the Trace 3 as my racing flat and on sprint days because they a lightweight and feel great. Sure, they arent high tech with bells and whistles and carbon plates, but Im not in that competition bracket either. The Trace 3 is probably a stripped down Ghost and is responsive enough for my needs and offers enough protection to be comfortable under foot. The laces are a little puffy and came untied during a 5k once, so I just make sure I tuck the laces under and have not had trouble since. I hope Brooks keeps these around because Im enjoying them for short-mid distance races and still able to walk the next day.

Im a nurse on my feet all day. These are the only sneakers I wear!! No foot or back pain with these awesome shoes!

Trace is a very good shoe. It mixes comfort and stability. This shoe is more streamlined than some. This is my 3rd pair. Love them.

After years with the same style of shoe (different brand), they changed the style to a cushier, thicker sole which did not work for me. I bought and tried about 6 different brands/styles and found these to work the best for me. They felt good when I first put them on, which is always a good sign. It did take a little while to get fully adjusted to them, as they have a little more support than I was used to, but they feel great now! (I don't really run anymore, but I find them great for my walking/work/everyday needs. I bought 3 pairs!)

I have several Brooks shoes. They're great shoes! I have never returned a pair-until I got this pair. They are super comfortable, but the material-it's different, and it was like dirt was attracted to the shoe-mind you, i did not have them on any dirt road, or anything similar to that-I work in an office, and I wore them to work-maybe 5 times. They looked terrible around the toes, I tried to clean them, and they were stained. Terrible material. I wish I would have taken a picture, but I didn't think about it until I was writing this review. I'm so glad that Brooks allows you to return shoes for up to 90 days.

feels tight and not comfy

Very comfy. Gives you plenty of cushion. Good for short runs.

I would pass on the Trace 3. The tongue is not wide enough to even cover your foot under your shoelaces. Did they hope to cut some costs by reducing the width of the tongue? Not a fan. I returned them.

Love the style and feel of these!

Ive worn the Ghost for many years, and decided to try Trace, and bought them in the same size I always get. I immediately noticed the materials looked cheaper. The sole felt like there was less cushioning in the toes. Then, the first time I wore them to the gym, they felt tight and narrow ( even though I bought a wide size) and the line between the laces and the toe box felt stiff, digging into the top of my foot. By the end of my hour long workout, my feet hurt so bad, and they were almost numb with lack of circulation. I took them off immediately and retuned them. Ill stick with the Ghost.
