I have several Brooks shoes. They're great shoes! I have never returned a pair-until I got this pair. They are super comfortable, but the material-it's different, and it was like dirt was attracted to the shoe-mind you, i did not have them on any dirt road, or anything similar to that-I work in an office, and I wore them to work-maybe 5 times. They looked terrible around the toes, I tried to clean them, and they were stained. Terrible material. I wish I would have taken a picture, but I didn't think about it until I was writing this review. I'm so glad that Brooks allows you to return shoes for up to 90 days.

Bought my very first pair of Brooks the Trace 3 a few days ago everyone raves about how great they are for the price they should be amazing but I'm far far from impressed I work in a clinic where I'm on my feet for at least 12 hours my feet are hurting within the first hour and killing ne by the end of my shift and when I get up the next morning I can barely walk from my feet hurting the day before guess I'll move on and try the HOKA or onclouds and see how comfy they are.

I have three pairs of the Trace2 and loved them. I bought a pair of the Trace3 and are disappointed. The fit and cushion is not the same. I bought my first pair of Trace2 when I was traveling to London. I wore them out of the box and all day long. I walked several miles each day. The whole time my feet felt supported, comfortable, and never sore. However, with the Trace3, I don't feel like I could do the same thing. Hopefully the Trace4 will more like the Trace2.

Not my favorite. All my other trace shoes have always been amazing. This pair not so much. Had to return one pair and then the replacement pair was a bit better. But I can't afford another pair. So I don't know. Not the best shoe.

I really liked 1 and 2 but found 3 very uncomfortable.

I visited with someone on the Brooks online "chat box". I explained that I was trying to find a Brooks Ghost that had the same flexibility in the toe box and AT LEAST the same PADDNG as the Ghost 14. I was told that this shoe was the closest one you have. I ordered it. IT WAS HORRIBLE. The toe area was so stiff that the shoes made a clopping sound when I walked and PADDING WAS ALMOST NONE. My husband asked me what was wrong with my shoes as I walked by. He said it sounded like my shoes were too big. They WERE NOT TOO BIG...THEY WERE STIFF!! I previously had 6 pairs of Ghost 14's and before that I had 8 pairs of Ghost 10. I know that as time goes by the colors etc of shoes change. BUT WHY DOES THE COMFORT AND QUALITY have to change?? I am about to start trying on shoes from other companies. I am a SERIOUS RUNNER who unfortunately has some foot issues. Comfort is IMPORTANT. The return was flawless. I do need to go online and check my credit card though to be sure my money was refunded. I got an email that my return was processed, but no email saying the money had been refunded back to my credit card.

These shoes aren't designed for a fast paced walker or runner. They are subpar. I am very disappointed that I ordered them and tried them out and that I am unable to send them back.

I've worn the Ghost for many years, and decided to try Trace, and bought them in the same size I always get. I immediately noticed the materials looked cheaper. The sole felt like there was less cushioning in the toes. Then, the first time I wore them to the gym, they felt tight and narrow ( even though I bought a wide size) and the line between the laces and the toe box felt stiff, digging into the top of my foot. By the end of my hour long workout, my feet hurt so bad, and they were almost numb with lack of circulation. I took them off immediately and retuned them. I'll stick with the Ghost.

So disappointed I'm a Brooks only gal Poor construction : arch support, cushion.. Off to search elsewhere Bummmer

So far, they are hurting my feet but not sure if it's the shoes or my new orthotics.
