I have several pair of Sorel boots and love all of them. I purchased these for a trip to Ireland with my family as I knew November in Ireland would be rainy and cold and we'd be doing a-lot of walking. These boots not only kept my feet warm and dry in the streets of Dublin but they were GREAT for walking around many of the beautiful natural attractions of the country. I wouldn't classify them as "hiking boots" but I did feel stable and safe walking on pathways through the countryside. I look forward to wearing these boots here at home. I definitely recommend them and rate them a 5/5 for comfort, warmth and keeping your feet dry. They are also stylish- pairing nicely with jeans and leggings. I'm sure they'd look cute with skirts too, I just haven't had the occasion to pair them with a skirt and tights. These boots fit true to size, I normally wear a 38 in my work clogs, 7.5 in boots and an 8 in runners and flats. My Sorel boots are all 7.5 and they fit perfectly.

Love these boots. I'm a long time Sorel fan and these do not disappoint. So cute and so very comfortable. Many compliments. I do always size up a 1/2 size in my Sorel boots to accommodate a thin boot sock.

So comfortable! Felt like I had on tennis shoes! I even went for a walk on my lunch break in them. I bought them in a different color after I wore them the first week. 10/10 recommend.

So I wrote a review complaining about the width and seam in these boots, and turns out it wasn't actually an exposed seams but some packing cardboard that I hadn't fully removed before wearing them (doh!). They are actually perfect now. I wear 8.5-9 and bought a size 9. They are a little roomy in the toe but would work great with thick socks.

I ordered 3 colors and ended up keeping the brown. I really like the contrast the change in sole color provides as it lends a stripe of tan with the black sole and brown upper. I ordered a half size down and did not find them tight. I also like the shorter shaft on my petite frame. I agree with the other reviewer that the toe is very round. I would have kept the black had it not been for the round toe.

Gorgeous and I loved them but were just too narrow around a small bunion. Sadly sending them back.

If you have average size width, get a narrow size. Width seems to be bigger than normal with this style.

These have a much rounder toe than expected and are unbelievably narrow and tight over the top of the foot. I wish they hadnt been final sale. My feet go numb wearing them.

Thick soles and comfy boots, Gor these on sale and they do not disappoint!!

These are the Chelseas Ive been looking for! Best fitting, easy in, looks great. True to size. So awesome. Glad I found these for fall and winter.

The greatest boot ever! So comfortable and cute that I bought another color!

Ive worn and loved Sorel boots for years. This is the first time I have regrets. Bought the Chelsea in black at a famous retailer for NYC life Ive almost tripped forward walking down the subway stairs twice as the back heel has clips designed into it and it catches the edge stair railing. Frightening! I am now afraid to wear them. Such a waste. If you look closely at the back heel you will understand. Not designed for going down steps unfortunately

Beautiful but creases after only two wears- too easily

I had high hopes for the Sorel Joan boots, especially given my positive experience with another pair of Sorel wedge boots. Unfortunately, these boots fell short of expectations. First and foremost, the comfort level of these boots is a major disappointment. Unlike my other Sorel boots that provide a stable and soft landing for my feet, the Joan boots lack that crucial comfort. The absence of a softer insole makes the inside of the sole feel unforgiving, leaving much to be desired in terms of overall comfort. My feet hurt when I wear them, and then they hurt the next day from wearing them the day before. Another peculiar issue I encountered was the significant difference in fit between the left and right boots. The right boot fits bigger, almost half a size larger, and strangely seems to pitch outward rather than being centered. This inconsistency in sizing and alignment is not only perplexing but also affects the overall comfort of the boots. Despite these drawbacks, there are some positives to note. The grip provided by the boots while walking in snow is excellent, which is crucial for navigating winter conditions, especially in a place like South Dakota. However, the lack of comfort overshadow this positive aspect. The most disheartening aspect of my experience is that once these boots are worn outside, returning or exchanging them becomes challenging. This limitation leaves me feeling stuck with boots that fail to meet my expectations, especially considering their intended use for work fashion and braving very cold winters. In conclusion, the Sorel Joan boots have left me with mixed feelings. While the traction in snowy conditions is commendable, the discomfort, and inconsistent fit are significant drawbacks that make it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend these boots.

Ive already gotten so many compliments on these boots. There is a bit of a break in period but still super cute.

I have never purchased Sorel boots before, so I wasnt sure what to expect, but I was floored with how comfortable these are when I put them on! Seriously comfy and so cute!! I am going to wear these a lot!

So cute and comfortable! I followed their sizing chart and ordered my size and its perfect- I couldve gone a half size up for thicker socks but Im not sure then they be too big with normal socks. The quality feels really nice and I was surprised at how light weight they were for how chunky they look. Ive been wearing them In very snowy and icy conditions and have no complaints- definitely not super warm but thats not what I was looking for! The traction is great- and they are super cute.

The boots are cute, I love the look of the blocky heel. The only negative is that they are stiff and the soles squeak when I walk. I'm hoping those 2 issues will work themselves out as I break them in.
