These boots are as advertised--well insulated, urban boots. They are hard to get into, but I've had similar experiences with interior side-zip boots before, and I'm expecting these to loosen up after I've had them a bit longer. They are expensive, but I plan to use them for several years.

Every shoe I wear is a Merrill and I really like them. This boot is no exception but for one reason. They are very hard to get on! This is no easy slip on. Initially it took lots of pulling to get these over my heel and almost returned them. If I had been in a shoe store I would have not purchased these. I'm getting better at getting them on but if have back issues or trouble bending over I would pass on these. Once on they are comfortable and nicely insulated. Getting them off is no problem. Otherwise I'm happy with the purchase.

They were clunky. Easy to get on and off. I returned them because they didn't look very good.

I have had these boots for two months. They were super tight to try and get my feet into from the start, but the left foot more so. Today the inside of the boot tore as I put it on. I'm very disappointed in the quality of these. For 200 bucks they should last longer than 2 months.

Great boot once you get it on. The pull strap is in the wrong location to aid in getting the boot on easily and quickly, they'll loosen up after more use so this issue might self resolve.

This is my third pair of these boots. By far the most comfortable, reliable boot Ive owned. I would highly recommend these boots, money well spent.

I have been using these all winter in Buffalo NY. I commute with them, snow blow and hike. So far they have exceeded my expectations. I did add an orthotic under the merrel sole but thats it.

Ive owned these boots about one month and Ive worn them about 20 times, usually in snow. They were uncomfortable on my ankles initially but they seem to be broken in now and are much more comfortable. They have been waterproof, as advertised, and relatively warm, unless I spend too much time in snow. They then feel slightly wet inside but are really only a bit cold. Overall, I like them.

A bit tight even when unzipped. Other than that Im happy with them.

Have two pair of these, different colors. The zippers on my black pair are very stiff and difficult.

Good boots. Stylish enough for my door to door ministry work in the winter. They don't look like work or play boots. I like the side zipper instead of slip ons which would be too hard to fit in. Would be nice if there was a pull strap on the zipper side in addition to the one on the back for holding that side up as you push your foot in. Good traction on ice. Warm enough for 30 degree weather. An online search warned they run small so I ordered a size bigger than I normally wear. Still snug. Overall good boots though.

I have both these boots and the equivalent lace-up model (I couldnt decide, so I bought both), and I slightly prefer these. The sizing is the same and both are comfortable, but these are quicker to take on and off and I can remove them without having to sit down, which is nice since these arent in the house shoes. The ankle is a bit higher which puts a slight pressure on your shin (at least when new), but its not uncomfortable and on the plus side means your ankles dont get cold when the wind blows. The tread on both is great and hardly slips on ice when other people are having trouble. Both shoes are warm and overall I would say the lace-ups are better for hiking where you want the most support and dont mind the extra time to put on/off, but these are better for running errands or dog walking, when the convenience of easy on/off is a bigger factor.

I found the boots very hard to put on, entry is quite narrow. They have eased a bit but still difficult. Otherwise very comfortable and warm.

Somebody gifted me these and theyre not as good as you guys say they are. Ive been trying to talk to somebody in regards to staying with Merrill but you guys just dont want to help me out.

I returned these boots. The quality is not what you would expect for the price. The zippers are flimsy and did not open and close smoothly. At size 14 the boots look mis-shaped and awkward.

The boots were great but they were designed or constructed improperly. I could not get my foot into the boots.

Overall the boots LOOK good just standing there but once my feet are in them, it seems that the top twists somehow. I've never had a pair of boots twist like this to the point of someone pointing out that they look twisted. I'm not certain why they would do this . . . but?
