Like snow tires for feet and toasty warm, too. Comfotable with good arch and overall foot support, which is important for solid footing on European cobblestones and New England snowy/icy sidewalks and roads. Stylish - anice change form the hiking boot look - which works uitl a more elegant style is needed.

I have a seriously much older version of these I almost can't believe I am still wearing. Over 15 years old & have worn the crap out of these and yet nothing torn apart except inside the shoe the thermal cushion properties have been long gone for many years now. Ha! That only expanded my use of these shoes more in summer seasons. After 10 years old I began using them for yard chores such as mowing my half acre yard behind a self-propyears after that they are still on my feet. This past Fall were my reliable camp shoes in the BWCAW. I associate the Merrell brand as at the top of the game for outdoor enthusiasts & adventurists. The aggressive-looking vibram footbed gives stability, versatility & longevity and is reason I am asked about this shoe what it is & where did I get it. Cost of these is steep but when they can take plenty of wear and a some abuse & still last 10+, 15+ years they are more than worth it! 7 out of 5 stars for how I can't even kill my old pair. Ready for buying a fresh pair this Winter.

These fit large - I had to size down one size. The width was great for wide feet.

This a great show for winter - warm, stylish, and great on ice with lots of traction. This is my third pair I've purchased since I like them so much. Honestly, my favorite shoe in my closet for winter by far.

I wanted a slip-on shoe, waterproof show, for casual wear in Seattle. Didn't need the insulation or the heavy Vibram solewho hikes in slip-on shores, anyway? I like the generous width for the fore part of the foot. They are very comfortable and well made. I left off a star because I think the shoe would be better with a lighter sole, though still non-slip.

So far so good. I will know better when the colder weather arrives with snow. Plan to use to for winter walking.

I bought these because I was told the article grip would give me improved winter traction especially on ice. They do not perform better than my regular shoes I wore last year. I would not recommend these to anyone. Very unhappy, I went to the point of purchase and they could not offer me any help. Very frustrating!!! I just wonder if they are defective, can't get help.

Great support, great traction and oh so comfortable! This is my third pair. I do a lot of walking in all kinds of weather and 'road' conditions. They eventually wear out and become my garden shoes, but it takes a while.

They are great for winter when you live with snow and ice. They help me stay on my feet.

i have bought variations of this shoe for the past 13 years, they are comfortable, warm in winter great for spring and fall, waterproof and good traction. The last pair hasn't lasted as long as the first two pairs, but I will buy another pair, the first two pairs last for about 5 years each, the last pair just 2.5 years , but I will buy again and hope the quality will be the same as the first two

Needed shoes with sufficient grip for walking on ice. These are perfect!

Merrells have been my main shoes for the last 18 years and these are the best yet. They are so comfortable in the way they cradle/hug the feet, making each step a pleasure. With the warmth and great grip, can't wait for winter.

Great support, with a good non-slip tread. These waterproof insulated shoes are perfect for morning walks with my dog, and comfy enough to be my daily work shoes.

I have been wearing these wonderful shoes for a long time, I have been on my last pair for 2 years, everyday, snow or shine. Great fit and waterproof. Great for cold climates.

Just received so have not tried them for warmth or grip! Winter is not here yet. They are so comfortable and the fit is perfect for my medium width foot. True to size! Slip on so easy! Absolutely love this shoe, this is my second pair!

I've had these a month to replace my worn-out jungle mocs (4th pair) because they are waterproof. So far so good. I always replace the insoles with superfeet insoles because of flat-feet and knee problems, which isn't an issue with the superfeet insoles. As with all Merrells I have worn they fit well out-of-the-box, and are very comfortable. The only suggestion I have is to include care instructions - nowadays you don't get anything in the box but the shoes.
