My waterproof Merrells have performed well on messy NY streets. The water and snow ruined my regular suede merrells. They fit fine but don't break-in easily.

My goal is to stay upright this Winter here in cold, snowy & icy Minnesota. These shoes are comfortable. And the grip is godd. Great purchase! True to size. I wear a 8.5 or 9 and the 8.5 in these fits well and fits my wider toe box.

Proper sizing was not available so I went with a "wide" 'cause I need a shoe....

Bought these shoes because they had ice grip on the bottom. I live in a snowy and icy area and fell last year, so having a good grip is very important to me. Since I already have a pair with Arctic grip, I knew they would be far better on ice than the average shoe. What I didn't expect was how comfortable they anre and how good they look. Can easily take them from outdoors to a meeting.

Dismal shopping experience. Would email customer service but there is no such option in the corporate structure by design.
1. Color not as described. Darker leather than site pic. Surprised by that.
2. Shoes arrived today, full price paid. Check website as to colorway discrepancy, discover price is reduced by forty dollars.
3. Merrell promo sent by email to offer 30% off other brand shoes (Saucony) in connection with this Merrell purchase. "Discount added in cart!" Clicked through, no such discount added.
By the way, hubs loves the shoes despite color misrepresentation, and despite $40 difference.

I've had several pairs of this shoe over the years. Living in Minnesota, I found it to be an ideal winter shoe for walking to the bus and getting around. But this year I had to return the new pair I'd bought. There is now a seam running down the middle of the shoe beneath the insole. After a week or so it will dig into the center of the ball of your foot. I thought it was a one-off, but when I checked at the shoe store, the next pair had it. What could Merrill be thinking?

Being an avid walker who lives in the Northeastern region of the US, I have so far found these winter trekkers to be very comfortable. I walk about 15-20 miles per week. I have had 2 other pairs of Merril winter trekkers; one pair that I liked very much, but the other pair not as comfortable. Both pairs have held up to snow and mud very well. I am hoping that this new pair will as well.

These shoes did not live long. Only the left side opened up at the sides, like the glue didn't last.

I purchased these as I am on my feet in a warehouse 9.5hrs/day. I am always cold as are my feet. I also go outdoors often into damp grass or if raining. I purchased these to keep feet warm & dry. I wore them at home, inside, for two days while off to try them out. They are slightly heavy but would be worth it for warm and dry feet. They are too narrow and not comfortable had to return before even getting to wear at work. Be nice if more than just a few of your shoes came in wide.

great shoes - i wear these pretty much everyday and really like that they are waterproof, so the weather doesn't affect whether i can wear them out or not. i usually take a long walk before work in the mornings (about 3-4 miles), and they are very light and comfortable for the daily stroll.

Just love these shoes. I've been buying them for a few years now. I wear them throughout the winter no matter what outdoor conditions I'm facing because they remain warm, provide great traction and my feet stay warm and dry. I no longer wear the large winter boots. Quite an achievement considering the winter weather conditions we can face in Sudbury.

I wear them for walking golf course on wet days below 50 degrees. My feet used to get so cold golfing on colder days but these shoes are warm and have good grip for golf swing.

It's not as comfortable as I had hoped. I find it pinches the top of my foot after hours of wear. The insole is also very cheap and should be upgraded as you can feel the sole lugs when you walk. I had to put in a better insole to correct the issue. As for warmth it's only been about 32 F here. So it's hard to tell how they will perform.
