I thought these shoes would be more comfortable than they are, they don't have any cushioning give to them. I walk on the road and was hoping they would be more springy and cushioning but I had to put a cushion pad in them because they hurt my knees so bad. Not impressed for the money!

While I love the colors of this shoe, I got the sky blue, it was too stiff for my purposes. I needed it for working on my feet for 12 hour shifts.

This shoe is almost perfect. I absolutely love the vanilla pink earth tones. I love the feel. The arch is too far back in the shoe and you should offer wide! Please make this again in this color with the arch moved forward where it should be! I'll buy a dozen pair! Please keep this color and put it on gaviota 4, also.

I like the feel of stability, it's my typical size, but it stared that it was plush, which it definately is not. Too bad, that's what I was really looking for.

I like the color of the new Stinson, but it doesn't seem as plush as the previous models.

I don't care for the look of this shoe. It has some support but not as much cushioning as advertised. It also makes my feet look HUGE

Stiffer, lighter feel, not bad there but definitely tighter toe box. Who wants to try to break that in? Not me. Wish they'd leave them alone. Interested to hear other opinions.

I got these just about a month ago and loved them right out of the box. I have feet problems & bad knees, and need a lot of support in my shoes, and these absolutely fit the bill. I haven't worn them more than 10 miles (wore them to work a few times and on two short hikes) and the sole is already separating from the upper fabric. I ignored the reviews that warned of this and ordered them anyway, so shame on me. So disappointed, thinking I might need to find a different go-to brand, because it seems like the quality of Hokas in general are slipping with every new pair I get.

They're comfortable but the design comes off the whole front of the shoes, with absolutely no wear and tear. Doesn't leave any marks when it comes off, just stinks I haven't had them long at all.

I originally purchased a pair of Stinsons about 2 months ago. Within 1 week of normal wear (10 hr nursing shifts) the foam sole was separating from the fabric of the shoe. I took photos and called customer service and arranged an exchange for the same shoes. This was a pain. I had to find a box, go to a store and send them off and worse, not have decent shoes for work for 2 weeks waiting for new pair which aggravated my plantar fasciitis. Received new pair. Within 2 weeks, same issue. The foam sole is separating from fabric where the toes bend. This is bilateral. I untie my shoes before taking them off. Have no explanation other than poor construction for expensive sneakers. I can't send these back again. I need comfy shoes (which they are) to work!

I have been buying the Hoka Stinson for the past few years because I love the support as well as the rubber lining around the toebox of the shoe that keeps moisture out. The most recent design has incorporated the camo-ish cloth print design into the application of the rubber itself, meaning there are holes in the rubber all around the toe, as well as along the seam of where the rubber and cloth meet. The new design places mediocre aesthetic over function and makes the shoe a lot less functional. The rubber is sporadically laid onto the cloth, and it is already peeling back from the cloth after only a few months of mostly indoor wear. The Stinsons I have had for 2-3 years that I wore for a full year and I now keep as backups have not split at all along the seams. I wrote to Customer Service to request a warranty return, and I sent pictures, and they said that I can pay my own money to send the shoes back, and then they would be looked at and may be sent back to me if the reviewer disagrees. I don't think I am going to bother with the return because I don't want to waste more money.I would like to move on to a new brand. I am disappointed because the old design was so great, and this new design is so inferior.

Pros: Fit pretty tts as far as length and width. I always get compliments on them. They have great tread/grip.
Cons: They’re a pretty firm shoe. Not much cushion at all. But the biggest issue is that I bought them in June, it’s now October, and the rubber is already separating from the upper/fabric of the shoe. I’ve only worn them about 10 times. Very expensive mistake that I won’t be making again.

Hello, I recently purchased these Hoka's in hopes for a walking and hiking shoe. I love these for walking on flats, however I find them terrible on trails. Especially trails with gravel, because I found the tread to be poor, and a bit slippery. The wide base is clunky, and often got caught on rocks and the sides of narrow trails.
Overall, this shoe was unstable for even moderate hiking.
I'd recommend these for comfortabke walking only.

I bought these shoes for a trip where I walked 8-19 miles a day for a week, but I didn't end up using them. During training, my feet hurt horribly every time I wore them, and I thought I had plantar fasciitis. However, it turned out the shoes were the issue. I did the trip in my Speedgoat 4s without any problems. The Stinson 7 caused pain after long walks, possibly due to being too hard or having too much arch support. They just didn't work for me.

I absolutely love hokas and recommend them to everyone I know. I have both Bondis and Gaviatas and I swear by them. I bought these because they are also considered plush and stability, plus they were a color combination that I really liked - as I hate white soled shoes.
Unfortunately, these were just not for me. First of all, every pair of Hokas I have, actually every pair of sneakers I have are 7.5. I originally ordered these in a 7.5 and had to return them because they were way too big. The 7s fit better lengthwise, but they still had too much room in the toe box & fit oddly in the heel (too hard/inflexible?) to where my feet never felt secure and even hurt after wearing them for the day. I gave them several days and it just never got better. They were kind of high on my foot, as well. It actually rubbed a spot up around my ankle on both sides. I wanted to love these, but I'm going to have to send them back. I wish the Bondis or the Gaviotas came in better color combos like these. =(
On a plus side, I thought these had great grip compared to my other Hokas

I wore these on rugged outdoor trails for approximately 20 miles and the uppers were already peeling apart from the soles. I have a planned trip to the Italian Dolomites and was planning to wear these for a good 75 miles. They were relatively comfortable minus some minor rubbing on my ankle, but I did enjoy the stability and cushion. However, I did ultimately return after trial run due to the peeling apart of uppers.

I ordered these Stinson's excited to get my new shoes, but unfortunately was very disappointed. The shoe doesn't fit anything like they typically do. I have had multiple versions of this shoe and I've been more wearing Hoka for years.

Stinsons have been my absolute favorite ultra shoe for many years now - everything from 50k to 100 miles - reliable performance and injury free! Past modifications to the design have been acceptable without changing the signature feel of the shoe. The 7 is a different ride and feel completely - quite stiff. I developed heel pain within a few weeks of wearing this newly designed shoe - it would've been better if they just gave this new design a new model name - or perhaps call it the Stinson 7 Stability... but please bring back the real Stinson - plush and neutral. Very bummed. The only positive was that there were some new colors.

I love the look of the new model but it it's definitely not as plush as the previous models. I have foot issues and the max cushioning of Hoka allows me to still go for runs. They are still comfortable but not for anyone that needs the max cushioning like the Bondi or previous Stinsons. I've bought the 4,5, and multiples of the 6. I hope the 8 goes back to a true "plush" support.

I bought theses 1 year ago, I did not wear them over winter at all, within 1st month a piece of the sole tore off the bottom, this summer 2 more pieces tore. The bottom of these shoes are actually shredding and poorly made. I gave 2 stars for comfort and style.

I switched from Saucony to Hoka because Saucony has gone so downhill. I really like the design of the Stinson, I would give it 5 stars, except it falls apart in a few months. The sole has separated from the shoe. And the tread pieces on the bottom have separated and are pulling off. So frustrating to spend this kind of money on sneakers and they don't last. Cheaply made. There's a real opportunity for another company to make a better-built sneaker. Stop with all the recycled material nonsense and focus on building sneakers, because, guess what, when we have to throw them away every few months and they go in the landfill, that's terrible for the environment. I wear 1/2 a size up from my regular shoe size.

I've worn Stinsons for several years now. I'm fact, they helped heal my feet and I have given raving testimonials to others in years past. But I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the Stinsons 7's. I've returned one pair already due to the top of sole coming apart from the side of shoe. I sent the next pair back that was still working the 1 year warranty for having the same problem. My third pair is now doing the same thing and HOKA is now calling it usual wear and tear. I didn't just get a defective pairthis design is totally defective. Additionally, I've seen several other reviews from dissatisfied customers having the same issue. Face it HOKAthis one's a fail.

This is my first experience with Hoka shoes, not counting the first pair I ordered and returned due to a sizing issue. This brand was recommended by my physical therapist, who was correct in that they helped with the issue I was having. However, I'm surprised in how quickly the shoes are wearing out. I've had the shoes for about 6 months and, not only is the fabric detaching from the sole on both shoes, but the fabric inside the heal is also wearing out. I checked two pair of different shoes I've had for years and that part of the shoe shoes no wear, and those shoes were a fraction of the cost of Hokas. I am very surprised in how quickly these shoes are wearing out considering the cost and am very hesitant to try another pair even though they helped with my issue while walking. (I wear these shoes for daily walks. Nothing major.)

Please fix the durability issue in the latest issue. I USED to love these shoes and want to love them again!! It appears the glue or something similar is DEFECTIVE. I keep waiting for a newer model to come out and keep checking reviews on all websites to see if the reviews reflect the issue has been resolved. I wore these shoes for less than 2 weeks and the fabric completely detached from where it attaches to the sole of the shoe. These are the only shoes that are comfortable for me to be on my feet 12-14 hrs a day on concrete or teach PE in all day. PLEASE please fix these shoes!!!

After 4 days my first pair started to separate where the rubber sole hits the fabric, so I got them exchanged for a new pair. After a couple runs, same thing happened again. It's clearly a Stinson issue.
