This is the second pair of running HOKAs I have bought and the bottom trend starts to pull apart from the shoe and I trip often from the loss plastic. I have pictures... I am sure I didn't over use them with running 25-30 miles per week. I will have to hang up these running shoes until they update their design.

On the second day of wearing the tread on the one shoe started coming off. I was at work, the flapping sound kept bothering me, so I had to cut the piece of tread off.

Wear these today for my grandkids soccer game, my feet got soaked from the wet grass, they sure aren't waterproof like they claim to be, and of course it's passed my return window!

I got these shoes October 2024. As of July 2025, the treads are peeling off the bottom of both shoes. I cannot wear them because they are tripping hazards, rubber hanging everywhere. My warranty claim was denied. Hoka does not see this as a manufacturing defect, but rather "normal wear and tear." This means they believe their product is going to fall apart within a year and it's to be expected. I have never had any pair of shoes last me under a year. I've also never paid so much for shoes. My family loves hoka and all wear them but I will be seriouslt discouraging them continuing to give this company business. Hugely disappointing and downright immoral.

I bought these shoes and I've had them for a little under 2 months and only worn them to work. Shoe started to come apart at 1.5months. I've only worn them to work only. Why did it start coming apart? These were expensive! I wish I could get my money back.

I purchase 3 pairs of Hokas every year. I bought these October of 2024. The tread on these ripped with the second wear. I returned them in an effort to get a new pair. Hoka denied my return stating that the one year warranty period had expired. Clearly that is not correct. They refused to address that and stated all decisions are final. So now I will no longer purchase Hokas. It makes no sense that they would lose thousands of dollars over one pair of shoes.

Unfortunately, the size 12 fits more like a 10! There was no disclaimer informing that the sizing ran small. Even after wearing them they are still too small and uncomfortable.

I have worn several pairs of the Clifton 9's. All of the colors have been great - the one I'm currently in has a desert-type vibe which is perfect for my winter in Arizona. They have the right amount of cushion and support - and are definitely my favorite Hoka.

Had these in a different color and unfortunately after 9 or 10 months of light use some of the treads on bottom started lifting. Luckily I was able to do a warranty return and got a new pair. Fingers crossed these hold up because I really like them and the look is more streamlined than the more bulky models like the bondis. I have an 8.5 in these to allow for thicker winter socks but are not at all loose with regular socks.

After doing research, I decided to go with the Clifton GTX mostly for work purposes they are super comfortable waterproof and I do love them. I would recommend these for anyone on their feet and do a lot of walking. They help keep my feet very warm at work as well.

bought these because i was sick of finishing outdoor runs with soggy shoes and socks, and they delivered! my feet stay dry and warm through all the snowy runs. they feel a little bit more stiff than my regular cliftons, but this hasn't been an issue given the benefits.

I love the Clifton 9 GTX sneaker. I have them in Black and gray.I would love for you to make a neutral cream color. I like the new cream color that just recently came out, but it has orange in it. It would be nice if I could just get a plain cream color. Fingers crossed!

I wrote an earlier review saying that I was unhappy that they increased the rocker and changed this Clifton 9 GTX from the regular Clifton 9 which seemed to be the only shoe on the planet I could wear because of the combination of flexibility, shock absorption, and ability to toe off the ground. I am still unhappy that they changed the rocker on the Clifton 9, as I did prefer that one, but I will say that this shoe also feels a bit firmer than the Clifton 9, and maybe that is why they needed to add some more forward roll. The firmness seems to have maybe increased the resiliency of this shoe while keeping it inherently the same style. So, that is good from a financial standpoint because I won't need to buy new shoes as often. I have already purchased a couple extras of this model. So, while I still prefer the regular Clifton 9 because it was perfect and came in wide, and I have one last pair that I am saving for long runs, this GTX does seem to be lasting longer than the regular Clifton 9, and that makes me happy too. I still stand by hating the Clifton 10. That should not be called a Clifton as it has way too early of a rocker, and this force transfers directly into my hip. As such, please keep making this 9 GTX, if this new early stage rocker of the 10 is the way you are going. If you don't fix this issue or keep the 9 available in regular or GTX form, I may not be able to wear your shoes anymore. Also, the waterproof of the GTX has been great without the snow we've had recently.

This is my second pair of GTX Hokas. I wear them all the time to walk the dogs (it rains here A LOT) and for soggy runs. I also bring them to Disney. You definitely don't want wet feet at Disney. I really liked my first pair, super comfy and weather-proof. But this pair is even better. They do not look like a gore tex running shoe. In fact, I had to double check that I ordered the right thing. But they keep my feet dry and happy during any kind of weather. Perfect for travel!
