Over hyped brand. Not loving these. For some reason they make my feet very hot. I’m switching back to my Brooks Ghosts

I loved the Gaviota 3 and 4 but skipped the 5 because while I need a sneaker with the stability the Gaviota provides, the move to a forefoot that is ridiculously wide for a foot on the narrow side of medium made the Gaviota feel clownish and unstable for me. If this is a clearance sale for the 5, do better with the next model, Hoka. A stability shoe should be stabilizing for everyone!

not as cushioned as the Hoka's I bought several years ago.

I am a true 8.5B (narrow foot). The Gaviota 4 was a perfect fit. The new wider footbed is dumb for a runner who has a narrow foot but wants the stability and less floppy footbed. So frustrating when good shoe styles are modified.

The Graviota 5 was too wide for my foot. Too much extra wiggle room. Felt like great support though!

these fit totally different than the Clinton 10s... and have much less cushion. they are well made... but if you are looking for impact support i would go with another Hoka shoe designed for that. luckily for me the Hoka customer service is amazing and i was able to return my shoe and get one that suited my needs.

I order wide to accommodate a bunion on one foot. This shoe was like a clown shoe!!! Crazy wide at the front. Returned.

Overall, the shoes are good. However, after just a few months of wear, the heel wore down to the plastic, which now rubs against my feet. I sent them in for a warranty claim, but it was denied. For such expensive shoes, I'm disappointed they wore out so quicklynone of my other shoe brands have done this.

I bought the Gaviota each year a new version came out. It was my go to shoe. Then they redesigned the Gaviota 5 and widened the toe box. My foot slips around too much now they feel like clown shoes on my feet, I searched and searched for a new brand my feet liked. I found only one the Brooks adrenaline. I hope Hoka changes it back one day

When I first bought the shoes, they were great, but after a couple of weeks, the paint on the outside part started peeling off and now it looks like I have ripped and tattooed shoes, two months later.

I ordered a wide width, but the toe box was like a clown shoe - SO wide. Might have been able to order a regular width, but was able to find a different pair of shoes to keep instead.

I really like the style of this shoe but they are very uncomfortable on the balls of my foot. I have to add extra padding so that I can walk in them. They do make my feet look really big other than that I think it may just be this particular pair. My husband loves his Hoka's. I hate returning stuff so I just wear them with extra padding. I'm going to order me a different pair.

I've worn the Arahi twice previously and have gotten very good wear from them. I heard good things about the Gaviota so thought I'd give them a try. Without knowing the proper term, the "tread" on the bottom of the shoe is VERY thin. In short time, it had worn out and I was walking on the cushioning material which naturally wears out even quicker. My weight doesn't vary much and I don't have an injury that caused my gait to change, and I walk the same path each day. These seem to be better suited for indoors and office environments.

The toe box is too wide (I ordered a B-medium), which is why I'm returning them. They are comfy and pretty stylish.

I like the feel of the shoe. It's very comfortable for my sometimes painful feet. However, once you ask for a wide with the colors are very limited. You can either get black or some version of a white. So I got the white and it absolutely got filthy within days. Anything that touches it stains And I cannot get it off. I've tried everything! So I'm very disappointed that you can't get a darker color that's not black.

Really comfortable shoe. Went a half size down from my normal size and it fit well. Just decided the stability was not as good as I thought it would be. I have over pronation and flat feet and need a lot of stability. Decided to go with a different brand.

I would have included this with my return, but the return form didn't give me the option to specify why I was returning them. But the reason I returned them was that the outside edge of the sole on both shoes appeared to have been sliced. It was so odd. Other than that, they felt comfortable when I tried them on, and I loved the color. Fit true to size

I ordered a 9.5 regular width because I’ve tried these before in the wide width and they seemed very wide around the front 1/3 of the shoes (where your toes are). I would ordinarily never, ever get a regular width - my feet are very wide with bunions among other things and frankly, just hard to fit. These felt fine around the toes, but the middle third of the shoe was too narrow for me. I could feel the bottom side edges under my feet. Also, they didn’t seem nearly as plush as the Bondi. The snow melt color was beautiful, but sadly I had to return. I attribute this to my feet more than the shoe which was overall, fine, just not as plush and cushiony as the Bondi and of course the middle part of the shoe was too narrow.

I love the shoe however in less than a month they've already freaked around the eyelet on the right foot.

The shoe fit fine, but the sole on this shoe is unusually wide. It looks like an orthopedic shoe and it's not attractive at all. Despite its comfort, I wouldn't wear this. It seems like it would be easy to trip. I love Hoka but not this one.
