I have only purchased Bondis for myself and my husband since 2015. But I decided to try the Gaviotas and I love them especially for walking long walks. The Gaviota has a wider toe box than the Bondi but not quite as much cushion (I take out the insole and put my own metatarsal and better arch support for my very flat feet in all shoes). The Bondi may have a bit more rocker sole than the Gaviota--just my personal feeling; I don't know that for a fact. I think because of the toe box, the Gaviota might run just a bit bigger than the Bondi, but I ordered my regular size and they are fine. We are doing a big walking trip at the end of January, so I am deciding which model of shoe to take.

I have had mine for a few months now and they are so comfortable for walking approx 4-5 miles a day. I no longer have the heel pain I was experiencing with other similar shoes. They have also held up great to being worn every day. I will be buying again!

I have had both hips replaced in the past twelve months, planned, and it has been amazing rejuvenation for me, but I needed shoes that increased by stability when standing or walking, so that I could really take advantage of the new hips. These shoes are great! I ordered my size in "wide" and these are most stable, yet totally plush, shoes I have ever had! I feel like, when I take a step, my foot is just solidly planted and not going anyplace, regardless of the terrain. I have really high arches, and the arch support is definitely adequate for my needs. LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes!

I have been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis and these shoes have made a world of difference in my foot. I do t have any where near the pain I use to have.

Comfy fit. I'm on my feet all day and these definitely decrease my heel pain.

Like walking on clouds with excellent support. Very good style if you have wide feet.

These are so incredibly comfy. My hips scream when I wear anything else, could you shoot for dressy shoes with the same comfort

This year's Gaviota is great for my feet. The wide toe box works well especially with the bone spurs I have in my right big toe. The support helps counterbalance my pronation and protects my knees. I've had 6 knee surgeries and these shoes provide so much comfort!

I purchased primarily for comfort in daily walking. I like that the toe box is wider than the Bondi because it is much more comfortable with my bunions.

My Gaviota 5s are just what I needed after ankle surgery. They provide support and are super comfy.

Perfect fit. Beautiful colors. So very comfortable I have a hard time finding a perfect fit as I have had surgery on my left foot and it is now slightly smaller. Love this shoe. Just ordered another pair in a different color. Gaviota 5 you have given me happy feet

These are the best for stabilization; love these shoes and have 2 pair now; ordering more soon.

When my treadmill blew up I knew I needed the right shoes to protect my knees from running on the pavement outside. I have other HOKAs, but this was my first time with this model. I LOVE how wide they are, which keeps me stable, even when I run over one of those oak tree balls that make me slip usually. I had absolutely no knee pain and have been running 3-4 miles daily for over a month now! LOVE THESE!!

Perfect walking shoes! Walk about 3 miles a day and this is the perfect shoe. Feels like I'm walking on a cloud. Love this shoe!
