I bought these a couple of weeks ago after perusing the internet for a good winter trail running shoe. I normally take a size 8 shoe but always get an 8.5 in hiking boots because I always wear thick socks. I tried the 8.5 on which fit ok with 2 layers of socks but I could tell they would constrict the toes. I tried on the 9 and they were perfect in the toe area but definitely roomy every where else. They had ties all the way down the shoe so I tightened them as good as I could and that seemed to work well with not too much play. I used them for the first time running in a wildlife area - temps were in the 20's. They worked great. Feet were warm and super comfortable. We then got about 7 inches of snow and I went out snowshoeing with these boots . It was 20 degrees and very windy. I realized too late that I forgot to put the second layer of socks on. Snowshoeing is a bit of a workout on its own but I also did a little running in them. My feet were actually getting hot. I am 5'2.5" and weigh 120 and am 75 years old with knees that are now beginning to show their age. My knees feel great after these two episodes. I can't say enough positive about these boots. They are awesome!

I love these hiking boots. They are great for trails and just walking around the town. They were comfortable from the first time I put them on. I didn't need to break them in. They are waterproof at least in the rain/snow slush that I have worn them in. They were true to size too.

Very comfy for standing on concrete. Cushioning helps my knees and back when working retail. Good all season because of waterproofing in fabric, feet stay dry while gardening and washing the car.

My second pair of Anacapa's for hiking. They're the perfect balance of cushion, tow space, and durable fabric for comfort hiking in every season on rocky terrain.

I bought these on recommendation from a store associate because my husband and I were going to be traveling and doing a good amount of walking. I was skeptical and wasn't even sure if I was going to keep them, but I realized how amazing they are during the trip. For all the walking and climbing we did, my feet did not hurt at the end of the day. I can't recall a shoe ever supporting me this well. I highly recommend them. They are worth the price!

Women's Hoka Anacapa 2 Low GTX shoes in Cosmic Sky (lavender) are comfortable and very good looking. They offer good support and cushioning, as well as being waterproof.

The Hoka brand was recommended to me by a friend, as I have plantar fasciitis. I am a birder and hike on trails with rocks and roots. These shoes are so comfortable and honestly, my plantar fasciitis has subsided. Thank you!

Hiked on these for 3 weeks in the Dolomites. Comfortable. Good grip even on wet limestone. Great shoe to accommodate wide toe box. Maybe a bit too large, wore thicker socks. Works great for general hiking and as easy approach shoe. But the sole is too soft for via ferrata or scrambling. My foot placements held, but they were sloppy, leaning, not 100% solid. Handled scree, steep slopes, rock, grass all okay just not solid enough for more technical. Goretex kept socks dry even in rain and snow.

I originally ordered a pair of Skyline Float X hikers, but they felt a little too small & sort of cheap-feeling. Then I found the Anacapa's. They were on sale, so significantly cheaper than the Skylines. I wasn't sure about the brownish color, but for the price I decided to try them & ordered them 1/2 size bigger than the Skylines. They are SO comfortable - wore them for the first time the other day on a 1.5 hour mountain hike & no problems at all. And I think the color looks nicer in person than online. I also feel like these were a better value than the Skylines b/c they contain some genuine leather & are Gortex. They feel more sturdy & well-made, like a hiking shoe rather than a tennis shoe. I would definitely recommend.

I wear hoka shoes everyday, and can't say enough about how great they are. So when I needed a pair of hiking shoes for vacation , I immediately went to hoka . Com , and found exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't be happier with them.

Love these HOKA hikers. Great in the beach, dirt and some root/rock. Not for granite hikes. Comfy and secure. Stayed dry on rain!

Waited to send a review until I broke my sneakers in. They are great for a girl with a lot of foot problems. I don't even need my orthopedic inserts. Lots of room in the toe box and cushion support with each step. First time wearing this brand and I love them.

So far I'm very pleased with this shoe after a week or two wearing it. Where I walk the dog along a country road I'm always coming back with wet feet this time of year. Now I can cross my lawn and even the occasional foray into the weedy ditch and come home without squishy toes. They seem as supportive as the other gait correcting shoes that I've purchased from Hoka. These do seem to have a very large toe box in her hard to cinch up very tight, except over the arch which isn't necessary. But overall isn't causing me any pain or discomfort.
