Excellent fit and comfortable from day one. I darkened them a bit with a waterproof cream and they are good to go in rain or snow now. Love that the sole is not noisy.

This is a very comfortable, true-to-size, boot. I was looking for something that had great tread and a simple look that could be styled-up or down for my upcoming winter trip to Europe.

Very nice looking but super tight in width. Unfortunately going back.

These boots are exactly the look I was going for but unfortunately I have to return them. Despite them being a zip up, the heel was still very difficult to get my foot into. The boot overall was too tight on my foot as well. I can also see how this material would scuff up very easily.

The length of the shoe was fine, but it was loose in the heel cup and tight across the metatarsal area. It has very little arch support.

I use orthodics and was unable to get shoe on my foot.

Top of boots leather is really hard and hurts leg skin.

Insole is already worn out so they’re significantly less comfortable. It’s been 20 days since these were delivered and I haven’t even worn them every day. It’s super disappointing that boots at this price point require replacement parts so soon.

The zipper was too short so the only way to get it on was with a shoe horn. Not easy to get on and off

Third try was the charm! I ordered and returned 2 other ankle boots: one was too small with no larger ones available and the second one just didn’t look right even though it fit okay. But this Sorel was a keeper. It fit well and felt good when wearing it today for the first time. The side zippers make the shaft easier to slip into; without the zippers they would have been very difficult to pull on. They aren’t flashy but they do look well made and classical, they’re never going to look outdated. Money well spent. Every time I order footwear from Zappos I’m reminded how great they are to work with!

I loved the look of this boot, and the sole. However, having a high arch, I could not get the boot on. No way was there enough opening, with the zipper unzipped, to let my foot in. I’m sad to have to return it.

I love the style of this shoe and the slightly higher ankle length, which would make it more suitable for many pants lengths than is the Chelsea style. However, the stitching of the toe box sits farther back (away from the toes) on this than the Chelsea, and that makes this shoe noticeably tighter across the arch of the foot than the Chelsea. Oddly, the black leather is tighter across the arch than the brown leather version, at least on the pairs I was sent. For that reason, I'm keeping the brown ones and returning the black. Final note: this is a flatter (closer to zero drop) shoe than the Chelsea, which could make it more comfortable over a longer wear (I've walked 12-15 miles at a clip in previous editions of the Chelsea, so that's not a knock).

Very flat inside. I wanted to keep them but the fit was not good for me. Seem well made.

These boots are very stiff all over, and the foot bed offers no cushion at all. I had one boot on for about ten seconds, and knew immediately that they were going back. Great idea, terrible execution.
