Used for walking, trail walking

I have a wide foot and have had many foot surgeries. These are the only shoes that have enough cushion that I can walk free of any discomfort.

Great cushioning - even played tennis in them so they are stable for side to side movement.

Daily walking routine. I am 77 years old so no longer jog. I have a narrow foot and suffer from Planer faucitis so these shoes are helpful except for the width. I wish HOKA would add a "Narrow" size to their line up.

I have been wearing Hoka Arahi and Gaviotas for 13 years, eliminating all my previous athletic shoes: ASICS, NB, Sauconyand Brooks (I have never owned Nikes because they don't fit my feet comfortably). I have about a dozen of these in two states, and use them for walking and everyday casual wear. If I could still run with my arthritic knees and hips, these would be the only shoe I would consider. To date I've worn out disposed of three pairs. Hoka has only limited and generally tame colors in these stability models, with one or at best two that are standouts to look at. These Gaviota 5 are beautiful and maintain the comfort and support that ensure my feet are not tired at the end of the day. Although I wear a size 12 in other shoes, I find the Hoka 12 1/2 is a perfect fit.

Like walking on air! Sooo comfortable!

My son is at Great Lakes recruit training center in IL for the U.S. Navy Boot Camp to become a Sailor in the Nuclear Submarine Fleet. I bought these & he just told his mother on a call the sneakers were like walking on a cloud. The woman who helped me happened to also go there & was a Sailor in the Navy so she helped via her 1st hand knowledge of what my son is dealing with. She was great! I recommend them per my sons comment on wearing them.

As a medical professional I'm on my feet on concrete floors 10 hours a day. These sneakers are so cushioned and comfy!

I am very happy with these Hoka shoes. They are the second pair that I have purchased. If you are on your feet or walk a lot I would recommend trying a pair for yourself. I think they may stretch a little bit so don't get them to big.

My foot/ankle doctor recommended these to give me stability in walking. They are absolutely wonderful.

I bought size 10.5 extra wide. I replaced the included footbed with my custom insoles. The result is an even more stable, comfortable, all around shoe. I wear it almost all day, every day. No pressure points, and that great Hoka cushioning make it so comfy.The soles look to be more beefy, I am hoping they last longer than my other Hokas.

My preference has been the Bondi 8 after several pairs and also trying the Bondi 10 which was disappointing The larger toe box on these (same size as all my other various Hokas) and more stable lateral support allow me to wear them longer (14 hours) without any discomfort

Like walking on marshmallows with the Plush footbed. Love it.

Great shoes for walking

Was worried the 4 would not be as good as the 4 but after wearing it for a few days I love the toe box is bigger which is great still great comfort will be buying allot more of these

I wear these for work at a resort. I walk approximately 20K steps a day at work and these Gaviotas are great for what I do. Plenty of color options. I matched them up with the uniform. Wide sizes available so my toes have plenty of wiggle room. Feels like I'm walking on a cloud all day long.

I previously had worn Bondi 8s for a whole year and decided to try Gaviota. I didn't like the extra padding around the heel so sent them back at no charge to exchange for a new pair of Bondis. This was on a Thursday, and by Monday I had received my new pair of Bondi 8s which I really like. Thank you Hoka.

They feel amazing and are a delight to walk in

The product selection is great. I have one pair for exercise class giving me the stability I need. Another pair for walking/travel. So far they've been to Munich & Tokyo this year.

Great cushion and Stability. I usually walk 3 to 5 miles everyday.
