very comfortable shoe for walking or running

Love the wider toe box, no need to get the wide.

This purchase is one of the best made. I have had a Total Ankle Replacement. I have tried many different shoes styles. The HOKA Graviota was a tremendous help beginning the 1st day wearing. It was unbelievably supportive, comfortable and no pain. I have ordered. another pair.

The Best walking shoe for me.

Absolutely the best shoe I wear. I have two models of the Gaviota 5. I have had ankle pain for several years, surgery, follow-ups, etc with 2 different specialists. The pain often prevents me from taking walks more than a few minutes. These shoes, somehow, eliminate most of my ankle pain. Now I can walk without restrictions and comfortably. Worth every penny!

I really like the shoes, and they do for me what I need with my balance issues. But I wish the loop on the back was navy and the part of the sole that shows on the front was a shade of blue that goes with the rest of the shoe. But these are simply stylistic issues. The important thing is that the shoe works for my needs!!

Have tried the Bondi series which were great but I wanted something with a little more stability along with the plushness of the Bondi. The Gaviota 5 fit the bill!

I have really high arch's so it's not surprising I need a little more support. But the shoes are really better than off the rack I have had before.

So light and comfortable right out of box .

I have worn the Arahi for the past few years and never had any issues. However, I tried on the Arahi 7 and found it became more narrow and tighter around the toe box. In fact, I normally take a size 9.5 and had to go up to a size 10 for the Arahi. I tried on the Gaviota size 9.5, and they fit perfectly. The shoe is a bit bigger. After a few days of walking a few miles each day, plus up and down hills I found the Gaviota to provide great stability, lots of nice cushion and a great comfortable fit. They are a joy to walk in. I was apprehensive about spending so much money on a running shoe, but I have to admit these are the best shoes I have ever owned, and they are worth the price.

My podiatrist recommended Hoka after I had plantar fasciitis surgery. He wore them, too. I started with Bondis which had great cushioning. Next I tried the Arahi which had great stability. My latest purchase was Gaviota which has the stability of the Arahi and the cushioning of the Bondi. Win! Win! The best of both worlds! The toe box is a little wide, but worth it!

First time I ever spent this much money on a pair of tennis shoes, recently had knee replacement and wanted something to hep table my walking and balance, this are amazing, will have to order another pair in the future.

I have travelled the Hoka lineup and settled on the Gaviota 5 as best for my extremely flat feet. I only wish they made them in casual, dressy casual, and dress shoe styles. I would never buy anyone else's shoes!

I didn't know if I would be happy with this purchase. I have trouble with my feet due to an accident I had when I was 24 years old. I am now 79 years old. You know when you have bought a good product when you don't think about how your feet feel when your out walking. I wish I had these years ago. Would have saved a lot of pain. They are worth the money.

Definitely the most cushioned running shoes I've ever owned. Not very stylish for casual wear, but that's not what I bought them for anyway. Great fit and feel.

I bought this as a gift for My husband and he loves them.

I am getting back into longer walks after some time off. The shoe motivates me to continue. I am glad I bought them ( at he advice of my wife).

As an avid walker/traveller, decided to give the Hoka line a go with these Gaviota 5s. Thanks to the incredibly easy return process, it took me three tries/orders, but finally discovered that going to a wide size made all of the difference in the world to my foot comfort. I've always worn an 8.5all of my adult life, but with these, I moved to a "wide' size for the first time in my life - and WOW what a difference to my foot comfort!! Zero feeling of pressure or tightness on the sides of my feet and the wonderful plushness of these G5s and the sole technology makes it feel like my foot is being "cradled" in this awesome shoe - LOVE these!

Struggled for years to find the right shoe to help with my hurting feet. Years and years of jogging have taken the toll. I can't believe how quickly the Gaviota 5 provided relief and comfort. I'm able to now take long walks with minimum pain which is deceasing each and every day. I found my shoe and I'm staying with the Gaviota 5 - it's a winner.

I had plantar fasciitis and it was really uncomfortable getting up in the morning and trying to walk those first few steps after sitting a while. I went to a podiatrist, got several injections, changed shoes a few times and even did acupuncture - nothing worked! Then I found HOKA shoes online and went to the store location and 1 of the workers there recommended Gaviotas specifically since I have flat feet and for my plantar fasciitis. Within about 2-3 weeks, it was gone! Wish they had these for the rain, because I would buy them instantly!

Feel like running on clouds and super good for short and long distances.Used it on a 6 mile run and my feet still didn't hurt.

I walk a lot and the cushioning in Hola sneakers really help with my Lower back issues.

After wearing Bondi's for the past number of years, I switched to the Gaviota for the stability. I love them!! My new favorite shoe. And -- go for the fun colorways!
