I received this item as a birthday gift and within 30 days parts of the sole started coming off. Thanks to a good return policy. I ordered an alternate pair that lasted slightly longer before the sole started coming off. I am a nurse that is constantly on their feet walking or jogging although I liked the lightweight and waterproof features of the shoe, I did not expect it to have such a short lifespan

Got these shoes because it says waterproof on the description, but had to walk to the subway during a crazy thunderstorm and my socks ended up soaking wet. The reason I'm in search for comfortable waterproof shoes is because I hate wet socks. They are very comfortable, but not worth it to me when my socks still get wet.

I have bought 2 pair of Clifton 9's and have gotten a good 2 years of daily wear out of each. I bought a new Clifton 9 GTX, and one of the bottom sole rubber inserts peeled upon first use. I returned for the same and had the same issue on the same side and same insert. I imagine it was a bad batch or few. But looking under the pad, there were 3 drops of glue, not enough to hold corners down. Aside from that, great looking & fit well.

These shoes fit really loose and with all the extra foam they feel very clumpy and I was always tripping over them. I returned them.

Not really impressed with this style HOKA. I like other versions better. These aren't as wide as my others.

Great shoe, wish I order 12's instead of 11.5 though. But so much cushion and looks sharp with business attire. Have not tried to run in them, have other shoes for that.

The shoes are incredibly comfortable and supportive. However, either the sole design is flawed, or I keep getting a bad batch of sole glue. Within 2 days of getting these shoes (and normal running on asphalt, the traction element of the sole was peeling off. I thought it was a fluke, so I returned them and got replacements within a couple of weeks. The day after I got the new pair, I went to play a round of indoor pickleball, and the same thing happened again!! I only played one game, and the traction strips started peeling off. I don't feel like going through the return process again, so I'm going to shoe-goo these back together and turn these into my walking/everyday shoes. I'll try to find some shoes that don't have separate traction strips

Sizing completely different than the regular Clifton's. I've been wanting to replace my 4 year old Arahi 5's for a while and this was a solid replacement (color and style) for everyday wear. I ordered same size (12 D) that I have and they're too tight on width and length. I tried on a pair of regular Clifton's at a local store in same size but Wide and they fit perfect. Unfortunately, the GTX doesn't come in Wide and the colors that Hoka creates for men are not masculine. I'll probably switch brands at this point since Hoka is more interested in agenda.

I love the comfort that HoKA provides but my last two pairs of Clifton's just didn't last that long. The traction pods started to rip off after 1 month of use so I sent them back for another pair. That pair was mostly fine and lasted a bit longer. THEN I got the Clifton GTX's and the traction pods were ripping off my shoes within 3 months of wear. I wear them for work and daily walking in New York City but I've never had soles completely fall apart on me twice. It just seems as though they are rushing manufacturing of these shoes and not using proper glue or whatever they need to keep the traction pods from ripping off. Unfortunately, i will be avoiding their traction pod system and possibly trying a different goretex shoe they offer and go from there. Also, with the goretex system I had to size up a half size.

I wore these shoes maybe one day a week for several months, then the rubber tread on the left shoe began to come unglued. I was ready to send HOKA a photograph and make a warranty claim when I discovered they want you to send the shoe back to them (at your expense) and then they'll decide what they're going to do about it. I bought the shoe (and a different pair) on the HOKA website and I will not be looking for a shoebox, spending $10 on postage, and mailing a defective shoe to them. Very annoying as I like the shoe before this problem emerged.

First thing I noticed is that every time I bent over, I felt I was gonna fall on my head. If you have balance issues that may be a problem. I think it's the cut of the soul somehow rocking you forward and back. Also, I felt like my feet were striking the ground as I walked. Which generated a shock through my legs and into my joints, which seemed odd a contradiction of sorts because the souls look like they're providing lots of cushioning, but not?

Shoes arrived. They looked great, but were way too narrow. The exchange process does take some patience as I am now at day 8 and the new shoes will finally be here tomorrow. The shoes do not breath great, so I would not recommend for warm weather.

Ive always purchased Bondi because I've got a wide forefoot. The Clifton's were too narrow and I had to send back. I'm sticking with the Bondi

These should be way more sturdy considering the price. Purchased them 4 months ago, and the soles are falling apart. They have only been worn for casual use, nothing high impact. Extremely disappointed.

Size and width felt spot on. Comfort is very good-not quite as plush as Saucony Triumph but still pretty cushiony. The right shoe feels like it forces over pronation (turns ankle inward) which I’ve never experienced in a shoe before-maybe a defect of some sort. They do have a bit of a “rocker” feel which I’m not used to but did a fast 2.5 miles with no break in and had no soreness which is quite remarkable. They are definitely not going to win any fashion awards…lol.

The bottom rubber gets off, needs quality improvements on either puts stronger glue or apply larger glue area. I brought this shoes three times, when the rubber bottom sticks, everything is great, but all three pair have the exact same issue. the first pair is Feb, now it is Dec. still not resolving? there are similar review comment on this quality issue.
