I bought these to walk through Scotland, Ireland and England with my wife who likes to walk EVERYWHERE. We did Paris and London and are now in Northern Scotland tracing her family roots.which seem to be in a lot of random locations. These shoes have supported, helped me keep up and enjoy our time!

Hoka Clifton 9 GTX is an excellent shoe for in-climate weather.

I have the Clifton 8 women's 10 wide.. Like Authentic Cowboy Boots PLEASE Get Fitted For Your Hokas!!

Writing this review as I smile widely and sweat, after my 1st pain free 1+ mile run in 15 years! After recovering from several knee injuries, I had resorted to biking and hiking, but missed running so much. This is a winner. I like the looks, the run, the grip and the gore Tex (finally). I grabbed a pair from NYC store in midtown and so happy I did. I actually entered 15 minutes before the closed, the store manager and sales re were very patient walking me through choosing the right model. The width is perfect for my size, which is in between a regular and a wide. I felt sure footed and stable, yet cushioned. I did have to conciliant activate my toes and forefoot muscles to run proper - the shoe is very cushiony and will forgive bad form, but am sure that will not help in the long run. After going through German, other American, and French shoes - I feel this is a winner and am a Hoka convert (glad my first is also Gr Tex, it was perfectly dry when it rained) black on black with reflective lettering - very slick!

Just putting some walking miles on and so far the shoe is great. I was worried that it might be too big but you folks sized it perfectly.

I like the shoes, they look great. However, the insoles are super thin and hard. I think the actual soles are great and helping with knee pain, but the insoles are so hard they hurt my feet. I would recommend to a friend with the condition that HOKA needs to do a little better with the insoles.

Good talking shoe, however larger pads on sole wear away to quickly.

I really like these shoes, I do feel they fit differently than a regular Clifton. I think it's actually the top of the toe box that is shorter, not necessarily smaller. It gives a perceived feeling of the shoe being to short, at least for me. The sizing for me is correct and the length is correct, but I can feel the toe box top and it makes the shoe feel short. Obviously Y.M.M.V. Overall I like the shoe, I use it for walking and daily activities. I won't run or jog in these as it would definitely cause me some issues with my toes.

I wear the Clifton 9 GTX for every day in the winter and especially during the snowy days. However they our very hard to get on thru the hole. I could also use a cushy insole.

Not as comfortable as the standard Clifton 9, but overall a ggod product. When shopping for Clifton 10 sneakers, I was disappointed that practically all styles had light colored bottoms which show dirt more easily. Hopimg for new styles with darker soles in the future.

To be fair, I usually wear a 9 1/2 wide in women's. So I got the men's size equivalent and hoped for a wider toebox. Maybe I need to change my expectations for waterproof sneakers. But my big toes are sensitive if the toe box is too snug. I would try again if offered in wide versions.

I've worn the Clifton 9 in the past and I ordered the GTX due to excellent comfort from the prior shoes. I ordered the same size in the GTX and find that they are slightly smaller, therefore less comfortable. I've been wearing them to hopefully break them in, but, so far, with no improvement. I would suggest that HOKA note that if ordering the GTX, order one size larger than normal. If I can't get them to fit better after some time, I'll have to re-order the larger size.
