It is alway nice to have deep pockets on the inside on both sides. Wallet one side phone other.

I have bought this type jacket for years. Perfect for here in NC. Jacket was exactly what I wanted but it was too small. I wear a XXL and this was no bigger than a XL. Had to send it back which LL Bean has a very good return policy. Sad that it didn't fit.

I bought this jacket in mid September of 2024, size regular and in navy. I had to replace the same jacket bought many years ago whose zipper finally broke after many years of wonderful service. The quality and attention to detail in manufacture of this one was just fine, although I do wish the interior (left side) zippered pocket was located closer to the breast position and had a zipper that was horizontal instead of up and down (seems like it was meant only for a cell phone.) There were two problems with the jacket. First the sizing was tight in the chest and back such that if it is worn over a layer that includes a flannel shirt things would be too constrictive. Other purchasers have commented on this detail and they are correct. Also, the elastic at the bottom, or hem, had very little stretch to it. As a result, the jacket bottom can't be positioned below the waist after zip-up because it feels like you have a tight rubber band or girdle around you. I had to let the bottom ride up to my natural waist to be comfortable. I solved this sizing problem by returning the jacket to an L.L. Bean store and exchanging it for a size in large. That took care of the tight fit in the body and the constraint of the rubber band elastic hem. But now the material in front puffs out after zip-up, making me look like I have a little potbelly, which I do not. Not the ideal, but I can live with that. The second problem, also mentioned by some other purchasers, was the noisy and "crinkly" feel of the exterior nylon shell. If you swing your arms when you walk, people will hear you coming before they actually see you. It is not at all like my old jacket whose exterior shell had a smoother, softer hand to it that made little if any noise. Perhaps this will disappear after the first washing, but I doubt it. In conclusion, if you are considering purchasing this jacket you will likely need to buy it one size larger than you normally wear. And be prepared to be disappointed with the annoying "crinkling" of the exterior shell. L.L. Bean needs to correct these two problems before they offer the jacket again in 2025.

Not cut full enough. Would not be able to layer. I returned it.

A bit more bulky than my last Llbean warm up jacket. The nylon outer shell is also noisy. When you more around, it just seems loud when the material rubs.

I have been buying this exact jacket for many years and usually retire them when the ribbing on my left sleeve is super ragged from rubbing on my watch. The rest of the jacket is usually still in good shape, though some high wear spots on the shell have gotten a touch shiny. In the past, it's usually taken around 5 years of daily wear to get to this phase. I purchased my last jacket in 2022, and after 2 years, the jacket has started to get streaks of faded color. The blue is also now slightly grayer than all my past deep Navy Blue jackets. Maybe supply chain issues during the pandemic?
The breast pocket has stayed the same almost useless size :-(.
No one makes this style of jacket any more, or I'd switch.

A comfortable if somewhat stodgy light jacket for Spring/Fall. Fit was right; decent pockets; outer shell holds up well in rain. Zipper works easily.

This is the third jacket of this type that I have purchased over the years. The outer material has changed. The change has made it noisier when moving about. Not a desirable feature. i also suggest that you incorporate snap buttons to secure the collar to the shoulders when it is not in use. The change in materials made the collar more resistant to laying down.

Jacket arrives wrinkled. Can't iron or steam. Had to wash but still had some wrinkles.

I ordered the Men's Warm-Up Jacket, Fleece Lined in an extra-large like I have ordered all my sweatshirts, sweaters, and other shirts from Bean, only to find out that it runs smaller than my other extra-large items mentioned above. I'm not that large, I just don't like a tight fit and that is what I received in this jacket. Also, all of my other jackets have pocket zippers that pull down to open requiring the use of only one hand. The pocket zippers on this jacket open upward requiring two hands. Other than that, the usual Bean quality.

The jacket has a heavier than I expectedf outer shell. Color is as expected. Size is a touch big for me.

I like the fit and warmth of this jacket in dry weather, but it is not rain resistant. In the rain the jacket gets sopping wet and the rain goes right through and gets my clothes wet.

Not as nice as the old ones. This is warm and blocks the wind well but it is noisy. The inner layer seems to have an odd swishing sound. Other than the noise it's a great jacket.

We've been Bean customers for years. My older warm up jacket was years old and I needed to replace it after getting pipe dope on it (can't get that stuff out of any fabric). Having both in my hand, I will share first impressions: The new coat is much lighter in weight, especially in the arms, a little tight fitting than the previous generation, a thin waxy thin shell and thin sleeve cuffs. I'm concerned the cuffs will lose shape as well as be a wear area in the future but willing to try. I'm keeping the coat as I need one and got it with credit card points. Suggest folks read the 1-3 star reviews before buying. Checked yes to recommend as I'm sure competitors are about the same.

I like the material quality of the coat, the zippers, insulation and fabric seem to be well made -- and the arm length and waist are perfect for me 5'-11", 180 lb, however it took wearing it outside to notice that the neckline is cut rather odd. I have a 16" neck and this coat could accommodate a much much larger neck (21"? 22"?). The collar stands off way away from the neck and when zipped all the way my face (and I have a 7 5/8" head), making it far less warm than it ought to be. I'm hoping this is a one time manufacturing mistake, but I doubt it. We'll see.

Warm jacket but stiff fabric. Not a great fit. Somewhat large in shoulders even though good fit around hips and stomach. Overpriced. Would not buy again.

Very bad quality of cuffs, bring back the quality you are known for and not this cheap penny saving your implementing in all your products.

Jacket was nicely made but the size was not accurate. I generally wear a "small" but this jacket was much larger. The sleaves were too long by 2"-3". The shoulders were too wide, and generally it was to big. Apparently there is nothing smaller so I may return it and buy a different brand.

Nice middle weight jacket. Materials are little stiff, but will likely loosen with more wear. It serves my purpose for all-purpose utility coat but not as nice as I hoped. I would try another one.

Hi,I'm glad to comment on my L. L. Bean Warm - Up Jacket. Only have had it for a couple of months, but the month's have been cold windy Montana type winter weather. I'm happy with the jacket, it's warm and wind resistant, and I like the nice high secure collar. That's it, other than to say, I hope it last for many years.

This beautiful jacket has one unfortunate flaw...the entrance to the arms is smaller than it needs to be so that if you are wearing an undergarment like a sweater or wool shirt it invariably gets hung up as you attempt to get into the jacket and you have to fight with it for 10 or 15 seconds to get things right. Were it not for that I would order a second one.

I've bought 30 some items from LL Bean this Christmas, for myself and as gifts. This one, I sent back. The material was stiff and noisy. I'm sure it was warm, I'm sure it's a good jacket, but I wasn't a fan.
