Excellent product with heavy duty zippers, warm soft lining from the cozy collar to the waist, deep zippered hand-warmer pockets, and stretchy wrist bands to retain warmth.

I got a newWarm-Up Jacket in December to replace one I've had for at least 10 years. Upside: I think the new one is as warm as my older jacket, so that's good. It's a good 3 season coat and you can wear it most winter days on a walk with a hoodie or sweater under it. I recommend you try it on if you can, to make sure you can zip the neck all the way up - I went up a size to make that work for me and it's an important feature of this coat if you want to stay warm (the fleece lining in the collar is great). Downside: the outer shell appears more plasticky and less like nylon than my older one - for example, the new one makes a bit of a plastic crinkly sound when it flexes (like when you bend your arm). I hope it goes away with use.

Good fit. Good quality. I still wear a 10 plus year old version that's fine except for s couple of stains. Only criticism is the noise, sounds like it's made of cellophane; I figure this will diminish with time.

I feel that the collar is not sewn properly. The middle back seems to be short and pulling.

Excellent jacket, warm enough for all of southern New England winter routine activity. (going to work, shopping) Outer shell gets "brittle" with temps in the 20's.

I'm happy with the purchase I would give 5star but it was soiled when it arrived 3 times with a warm damp cloth I was able to clean it up either a return or missed on inspection however size and fit are great and it looks like great quality

Does what it's supposed to do. It's one of the basic 3-season items I've had from LLB for over 20 yrs. The old one is more beaten up, so I needed a new one. Something I wouldn't have thought about, the zipper functions very smoothly, which doesn't always happen on Bean outerwear. I do wish you'd stuck with the red rather than orange.

Nice jacket, but a little tight in the body and long in the sleeve. Also, with creaky old shoulders, fleece linings are harder to get on and off.

This is the second warm-up jacket I've bought from L.L. Bean. My other one is navy. This time, I was looking for one in either tan or brown. As best I remember, there used to be a tan version, but that color has evidently been replaced by taupe, which isn't a color I much like. Otherwise, the jacket is warm, well-made, and thoroughly satisfactory.

Years ago I had the Gortex Warm Up Jacket paid like 99.00 for it, I wish you still carried them. The one draw back with these is that the Fabric at the end of the Sleeves and the bottom of the jacket really stretch out and get sloppy looking and lets a lot of air in. I wish they had adjustable Hem and Sleeves

Warm, windproof. Presumably water resistant but the cuffs are cloth and are sure to just absorb water

I really liked the collar of the jacket. The sleeves are long and the waist is loose, so I might give it a bad rating, but this is a dad jacket, so it's supposed to be that way.

Very much like my new Warm-Up Jacket which is perfect for fall and early spring days. My only slight criticism would be about the collar. It comes up higher around the neck which I like for cold weather but when I don't want it up, doesn't stay down well.

Don't have much to say, but it fits great and I like the look. Haven't worn it out of doors yet, so who knows?

I love these jackets. I've had three of them and right now I'm buying number four. They are comfortable and tough and also good looking. Easy to wash. Good for spring and fall and I wear mine most of the winter. I give them only four stars though, for two reasons. First, they are not water resistant. That doesn't bother me too much, it takes a while to soak through! But what's more annoying is that the knit cuffs fray and wear out before the rest of the jacket does. I've had the jacket I'm wearing for several years now, and it's still fine except for the cuffs. Regardless, these are still my favorite jackets and I'll keep buying them!

Good quality jacket. The issue I had is Bean's clothing is great for fit and active people. I have become less active and fit. I'm 5'11" and 210lbs. I returned a x-large for a x-large tall and it's a good fit. Return went great. The finish is a little shiny but warm.

This is almost a 3-season jacket, lightweight, warm and resistant to wind and rain. My only complaint is that the inside chest pocket is outside the insulation, so a cell phone is separated from the cold by only the nylon shell so the phone/battery will get cold.

Great quality, as usual, but the color is odd. Please bring back the original color choices.

The jacket is very warm. There is an elastic band around the wrist and waist. The waist band causes the jacket to fit very tight around the waist. Also, the elastic around the wrist and waist causes the jacket to like it is from the 80's. The jacket would have looked better if the material around the wrist and waist would have been the same material from which the jacket was made. Possibly a drawstring around the waist if they wanted to give the person the option for a closer fit around the waist.

I have two other LL Bean coats of the same style. All 3 of them have different fits, some slightly larger, some slightly tighter. They look nice and are definitely very warm and hold up well. Of course, I only wear them for about 5 months of the year living in the mid-Atlantic area. Just be aware that the fit is not consistent even within the same style, so I cannot wear the same heavy sweaters under all of these jackets.

I buy quite a few of this style of jacket. I like the bomber type cut with the slash pockets and it keeps me reasonably warm unless temps go below 40. This is the third time I have bought Beans version. I was going to buy a similar style but is has the Bean logo on both zipper pulls AND the gaudy placard on the front. I feel like I should be paid for advertising their product! This one is at least a little more subtle (at least in black). There is another clothing manufacturer (starts with an "O") that also plasters their name on their clothing. What gives with this trend?? Anyway, the jacket is well made, priced right and looks great. I deducted a star for gaudy logo's.
