Difficult putting on jacket when wearing a flannel shirt or sweater. Fleece sleeves of inner jacket sticks to fabric. When hand comes out, fleece jacket comes out too. Then there's a need to tug fleece sleeves back into jacket. Jacket is warm but it's disappointing arms do not glide easily while putting on and taking off jacket.

It's too bulky and the inside slides around. I wear just the sweater part, it's way more comfortable & warm.

Nice jacket but quality is not the same as a much older and shorter version of this jacket that I am replacing. Have difficulty engaging the liner's zipper. Seems quality suffers with each older and loved LLBean product that I need to replace.

IN THE DA OLDEN DAYS ... you would 'rate the the temperature parameters' ... why stop? YOU NEED TO ADD: - 'double zippers' on all your jackets! - 'CENTER VENTS' IN THE REAR' ... NOT ALL US PEOPLES stand all the time ... double zippers and vents allow for a person to sit and NOT HAVE THE jacket 'ride up on you ... "Just say'en

I regularly buy extra-large shirts at LL Bean and so I got the jacket in the same size. The jacket was of excellent quality and style. However, I soon realized it was too small: I had serious difficulties to put it on, being very narrow in the shoulders, and I was never able to push my arm through the very narrow sleeves. Additionally, the short sleeves of the LLBean shirt I was wearing rolled to my axillae blocking the blood flow to my arms. What followed was a tragicomic dance trying to wrestle my way out of the jacket. Luckily, I succeeded and immediately shipped the jacket back. Too bad. I liked it. I really think LL Bean should make more of an effort ito standardize the size of it's jackets across the brand: I own two barn jackets, a short canvas jacket and a warm up jacket from LL Bean and they fit reasonably well, especially in the sleeves.

Features are great -good that good tucks away, length that covers hips, and pockets that close easily, but sweater-knit lining in sleeves made it impossible for my 93 y/o father to put it on-or take it off. Had to return.

Nice jacket, but not as warm as advertised. As I live in MN, we get temps in the single digits and below zero often in winter, and I bought this jacket as it was rated to -15 on the website, but it didn't keep me warm at temps in the teens. First item I have bought from LL Bean that disappointed me; I returned it

I want to start by saying that this is a nice coat. However, the 1 major design flaw is the fleece inner-liner. This coat is meant for Winter weather. Like a lot of guys, I wear flannel shirts through most of the Winter. Here's the problem.....The fleece clings to a flannel shirt like velcro! So when I remove the coat, the sleeves turn inside out. The clinging of the 2 materials is infuriating. And the next 3-in-1 jacket up the chain costs another $100. I don't know why you wouldn't use the same smooth, satin-y material for the liner on this model as the more expensive version. And to top it off, my local store didn't have any of the Sweater Fleece 3-in-1 jackets in stock. I could have avoided the annoyance of needing to return it if there had been any of these in the store for me to try on. Call me crazy, but you'd think that the stores would stock some of each model now that, y'know, it's Winter and all. I've already ordered the $300 Wildcat 3-in-1, which I'm sure will be fine. But needing to do the exchange is irritating and needing to spend an additional $100 is irritating.

I bought this jacket a month ago. It is a nice jacket, but the lining material makes the jacket very difficult to get on. Every time i try to put on the jacket, my shirt sleeves get caught on the lining and roll up

Basically, this is a poorly designed coat. Let me explain. The choice of lining is terrible it is next to impossible to wear anything but a smooth poplin shirt under it. The friction of the lining makes it almost impossible to force your arm into a sleeve, and fully impossible to withdraw it when taking an arm out. Worst, the loops that retain the sleeve lining easily snag on even a tightly fit Apple Watch. Tonight, in trying to take the jacket off, the retaining loop snagged so badly that the cheap button fell apart. I have 2 heavier jackets, both of which have excellent insulation but unlike this LL Bean disaster, have been designed with smooth sleeve linings under which one can wear sweaters or cotton knits. Save your money and wits. Find another jacket. Look for any other

I just bought this item and am disappointed with the sleeve design. The sleeves catch on all fabrics, even cotton and make removal very difficult. Did anyone at ll bean try this jacket on? The other features are nice but my advice is don't buy until the issue is redesigned. Hint to the bean stewtry sewing in a 25 cent piece of acetate to line the sleeves.

I loved the look and idea of a 3-1 jacket combo. But it is difficult to put on over a sweater. If you've ever tried to put on a sweater over a sweater, you'll understand. I will be returning it.

The fit is not great. It's very boxy and the inner jacket gets folded up and makes it uncomfortable.

I have been an L.L. Bean customer for 50 years and very seldom have to return a product. I returned this product immediately because the lining doesn't work right, it's a poor design. When you put on a jacket with a rough interior lining that is removable the lining wants to come out when your arm comes out. It grabs and drags. Who is designing these things? Doesn't anybody try them on and say hey this is a problem let's change it? I love the company I love the history I want to love the product help me do that.

Biggest problem with jacket is that the removable fleece liner sleeves stick to sweaters and other fleeces making putting it on difficult. Further the liner sleeves push out the jacket sleeve because they stick to whatever you are wearing. Other that that, the jacket looks good and is well made. I'd return it however is returns were easier. Fit is OK -- a bit smaller that most mediums.

I have been an LL Bean customer for two decades and have been buying clothes in the 3XLT size for several years with no issues. As a big/tall customer, I appreciated their offerings in my size, and own dozens of t-shirts, sweatshirts, quarter zips, and vests in the same size. I'm disappointed to say that this jacket in a 3XLT fit like it was two sizes too small ( and yes, I confirmed the sizes on both layers). I was so excited to have a new jacket for the holidays, and I'm frustrated that LL Bean's sizing is apparently not consistent across all of its offerings. And whats just as annoying is that I have to pay (with my own money) to return this product, even though LL Bean failed to maintain consistent sizing across its products.

it's impossible to put the assembled jacket on without the fleece lining coming out the end of the sleeve. Perhaps two fasteners at the end of the sleeve would work better. Also, it's nowhere nearly as warm as I had anticipated.

This jacket consists of a fleece liner and a fabric shell. It is extremely difficult to put on with the liner on as it sticks to mast common fabrics. This then pushes the sleeves to extend beyond the shell. I put it on this week for the first time in years. The jacket has barely been worn. I am giving I to God Will.

Poor material choice. The liner gets stuck on all other fabrics. $1.00 liner would have solved this.

It seems this garment was designed by someone who doesn't wear winter outerwear. The fleece sleeves have no lining which means if your wearing a long sleeve shirt it's a wrestling match to put it on ,or take it off. Making it unusable in the real world of winter. My fault in not checking prior to purchase for lined sleeves. The overall quality of materials and workmanship are good. The design is ill-conceived .

The store ordered the first jacket for me it was the wrong color so I sent it back and to get it quicker I ordered it again to get the correct color and a week later the return was processed and they charged me a return fee! Unacceptable, I will never shop L.L. Bean again!
