This bag was a fabulous gift. My daughter loved the size and the elegant style so much that I think I will get a similar bag for myself!

This is a great tote bag. It has a shoulder strap and handles and it zips closed. There are additional pockets and a zippered pouch on the inside. And it's partially waterproof. Is it sexy? No. But not everything needs to be sexy.

Couldn't be happier with this tote. It's a pretty color.. more blue than gray, durable, and looks natural but classy. Size large works well for transporting a lot without the bag becoming too bulky or heavy. Even the hand straps comfortably hang over my shoulder.. not only the over-the-shoulder strap. The inside has a wax or wax-like coating that permits easy cleaning with a damp cloth. I love it and can tell it will last for years and years to come. So appreciate the craftsmanship and quality of L.L. Bean products. Thank you!

Handsome, sturdy and functional bag made a great gift bag for our friend visiting from England. She loved it.

Seems to be more dirt and water resistant than the regular boat and tote bags. Does everything I need, and the zip top is very useful to me.

I purchased the tote to use for vacation. It fit under the seat in front of me on the plane but I was able to carry so much stuff, ie: water bottle, snacks, book, travel pillow,etc. It was easy to carry with the handles or the strap.

What a classy, roomy, and useful addition to my grab and go places bag. Love the black and forest green and the monogrammed E for me made it mine. Nice durable fabric makes sure it will last for years. You did it again, LLBEAN!

Ordered the xl at first, but this large is perfect for every time that I need a very large bag! I needed the convenience of the crossbody strap, inside pockets and zip closure.

Great tote bag that we purchased to use as a beach bag. As with all LL Bean canvas bags, build quality is borderline overengineered. I was highly considering the Boat and Tote before I luckily stumbled across this bag. Chose this one for 2 big reasons: has 2 options for carrying (handles and shoulder strap, vs having to pick long or short handle on the Boat and Tote) and the water resistant coating on the bottom of the bag. Also loved that this bag was the perfect in-between size between the medium and large Boat and Tote. You're paying more than 2x the price, but it's one of those "you get what you pay for" deals.

Exceptional value found with this bag. LL Bean has perfected the art if bag making. Material used is first rate.

Sturdy, spacious and comfortable to hold or put on your shoulders. The regular size is large and the Large is huge. Lots of space!!
