A little smaller than the popular medium sized tote bag, but with the waterproof lining it is the perfect bag for me to grab and tote last minute stuff on my ATV here in the mountains. Very sturdy.

Hunter's Tote Bag is very sturdy. I wish the straps were a couple of inches longer but overall very durable and I will enjoy using it. I picked the black color because I need to put in on the floor often and the thick weave is great at deflecting dirt.

I got this for my husband, the hunter. I like the fact that it has a water-proof lining. I'd like to see other designs with this feature. I could use one to put my snowy, wet xc ski boots into.

All the reviews talked about the tote being easy to clean. I bought it to hold towels when going to the pool or beach. When we get home we hang our towels in the garage and hang the bag on a hook so it is open to dry. I have had my tote for maybe 2 years and it smells like mold. I have used cleaning products and hung it inside out and entire off season and can't get the smell to go away. It says not to wash it but that might be the last thing i try since I am now looking at other brands to replace it so i don't have moldy smell with me at the pool.

Good bag - well-constructed and good colors. I would buy again.

I purchased this bag in the XL and L last year. The XL has been used more than the L, but they both have a musty/moldy/mildew smell. I have occasionally had damp towels, but then leave the bag empty to dry. It's a shame because I've tried using clorox wipes, leaving it inside out in the sun, and everything in between. It's a shame, because now I cannot use them to pack clothes in for risk of smell transferring. Any thoughts LL Bean?

I used it for a long time but its lack of any pockets has finally relegated it to the closet. Hard to believe they wouldn't sew in just one or two pockets.

Super functional, but the straps in no way will go over your arm. This is a hand-held or elbow crease bag at best, which may not make sense given how big it is. That was a bummer. If you stuff it full of stuff and need to put it on your shoulder there's no way

The bag is great and wonderful quality. There are zero pockets inside or out, which is a little frustrating when looking for your keys but it's a great, tough bag

Wish I ordered the large the X-Large is way too large. Stupid looking. Which I could have returned it

Arms are too short to put over my arm so makes it hard to hold my child and bag but it's a good size bag. Chose to have text printed and thought it was too small.

Loved the bag but the handles are too short and the fold isn't comfortable in the hand.

Needs longer handles. Too short. Otherwise perfect.

Item came with a snag. Luckily LLB is going to replace it, but it's gonna take a couple months as this item is back ordered.

Love the look and size but no pockets and no closure, not good. I installed velco so i could close it, wish i had a pocket for my phone.

Color looked more "brownish" in person than olive green like I was expecting. Still happy with the quality and monogram!

I purchased the large open top bag in black for the beach, pool, and boat to carry towels, sunscreen, etc. I also figured we could use it for vacation to pack things. The bag is well made, good looking, and I love the water resistant interior. However, the strap is just too short to carry it on your shoulder. If I pack pool bag that size up, I need to be able to throw it over my shoulder. So sadly, it is going back.

I love the print and the material is of good quality but the handles for the large size bag are so short. It's a great summer bag but handles make it challenging to throw over your shoulder. If I knew they were so short, I may have rethought my purchase.

I loved my Bean Hunters bag with its zippered closure, so I ordered one to give as a gift. NO ZIPPER. Grrrrrrr. What a disappointment.

I have been coveting this bag since it came out. I love everything about it ... but I cannot tell you how disappointed I was when it arrived. I am a shoulder bag carrier, and this one just doesn't work. It desperately needs longer straps. And an option with a zipper closing would be nice too. :(

I love the size, shape, and camouflage print, but the straps are too short to wear on your shoulder. Unfortunately I am returning this item. Please make it available in a longer shoulder strap option!

I have eyed up this bag online for some time, and when I got a $10 coupon in the mail, I finally bit the bullet and ordered it. Having read the reviews and looked at the dimensions, I went with the large size. When it came, instead of being 16 inches wide, as shown on the website, it is a whopping 21 inches wide and gigantic! I cannot imagine anyone carrying this around for casual use. Since I wanted something that could tote my kid's gear around, library books, etc., and semi double as a purse, the large size of the Large was out of the question. I would urge LL Bean to update their website with accurate measurements. When I called to do the exchange, my $10 coupon was honored, but the bag went up in price by $5 within the week since I ordered it, so I lost that money. Not overly pleased with the whole transaction.

Product is well made and the size is good. However I wish the material was a little thicker so the sides would stand up better.

Good bag, but way too big for my purposes. I wanted to use it to put my design materials for my fashion design class and while I need a large bag, this was just way too big.

I bought this bag for the 2nd time thinking I had messed up the first one. Turns out this isnt a me issue...it continues to have the mildew smell. I have hardly wet towels in it, Ive tried dawn, lysol, vinegar......leave out to dry in the sun. Nothing works. Any tips LL bean? I would like to exchange for something else thank you!
