this is my fourth one, they have become staples in my fall to spring wardrobe...so soft, exceptionally warm, and big enough to wear as a small shawl if you need your neck and shoulders lightly covered. The quality of the wool is superb, the patterns are all sharp and clear, and there is a wide color choice. It does not itch. I recommend them highly...

I purchased the back and white version to wear with a black cashmere winter coat. It's warn, stylish, and still made in Ireland. The black and white is a timeless pattern, and is also very well-made. I'm looking forward to wearing this scarf for a very ling time.

I recently purchased this beautiful scarf. It is very soft and not at all scratchy or itchy and nicely made. I wanted another one, but they are sold out in the color I wanted.

I bought this scarf for my niece, along with a coordinating pair of warm fleece gloves. She loves them both. The scarf is stunning- one only as to look at it to see it is well made with high quality materials. As a new mom, this was a clear boost to her feeling 'put together' and stylish.

A nice match for an unusual coat color. Scarf is large and long enough to wrap my neck and even cover part of my face, a great advantage for our recent holiday night tour at the zoo.

This is my second lambswool scarf. Great quality and color. Not too much length but, just right.

I loved the first scarf I ordered so much that I ordered a second scarf in another color. The Charcoal is very subtle and beautiful. Scarf is warm and comfortable. The wool is soft. The scarf is well made.

Love the size and feel. Keeps me very warm, especially in wind and cold. Don't order if you are sensitive to wool because it's the real thing.

I was looking for warm, soft, pretty and practical (not too long or bulky) and that is just what I got. I love it!

The scarf is a gift for my 14 yr old granddaughter living in another state, i have not heard from her yet. However, i have been a customer of this firm, and i am not ab;e to give them a high rating of their products, as they stand behind every product that they sell. I love LLBean merchandise and products, that I get from them for my children, as many products as I can. My children live quite some distance from me.

This scarf is great! Beautiful quality and price is reasonable-though I did get it on sale! I had purchased it in the molten red for myself and loved it and got one in bright purple as part of someone's upcoming Christmas gift as I was so happy with it. Nice and warm, nice long length... It's basically a solid and attractive scarf, not much more for me to go on about!

The glen plaid is true to the color on my screenmore a soft dark charcoal and cream than a crisp black and white.

I purchased this scarf to go with Bean's Sweater Fleece Coat that I also just purchased. They compliment each other and the added warmth around my neck is perfect. Merry Christmas to me!

This scarf is not bright at all. It is exactly the way it looks online. It's a deep heathered purple, a wine shade. Since I love color, I'm going to describe it: North-South (length) fringe is dark navy with colors of lavender, soft chamois yellow, and basic red woven through. East-West (width) soft peony pink soft jade green soft powder blue classic orange pale lavender This scarf should compliment just about any down or wool coat on the market. It's long enough to "loop" around my neck with enough left over to keep my mid-chest warm. It is soft and light-weight. I live in Alabama, so when we actually do get cold days -- they are very cold and humid, which I'm guessing is somewhat like Ireland's climate. The scarf is tightly woven, so should do a good job keeping wind out. It's gorgeous! I'm very pleased with my first purchase, and will be back. Also very impressed with Customer Service. My call went straight to a real person, who was very proficient and kind. Thank you, L.L. Bean!

Everyone should own a really good winter scarf and at this price why not more than one! The length is perfect and the fabric is so willing to wrap and drape to your liking not like some scarves that one must stand in front of a mirror and wrestle with to get a good outcome. As others have stated, I must confess, even the softness of the lambs wool is not soft enough for me.....so I will wear over a shirt collar, turtleneck, or with my coat collar up....either way it will look great! I purchased the Saddle Plaid....love that it has some black and red color in it.

I rarely write reviews, but I love this scarf so much, I actually bought a second one within a week of getting the first one. I started with the purple plaid and it looks as good in person as it does on the web. It has added life to my old plum pea coat. In addition to being beautiful, it is also very warm, and is a bit waterproof. It is a tiny bit scratchy, but given its great color, how it drapes, and its warmth, I can overlook wool acting like wool! I cannot wait for the molten red one to arrive.

I have most of last year's colors including the green one and the beige one. They are so warm and look great outdoors or indoors. (It is cold where I work so I wear it inside, too!) They feel soft to me, not scratchy as others say. (It depends on your sensitivity.) Color and quality are excellent. Do not hesitate to buy these scarves!

I love this scarf. I needed extra warmth around my neck and since it would be framing my face, I wanted something that would also enhance my appearance. I got the warmth I needed and the good looks I desired. I bought the one in tans and grays and I have already received many compliments. The muted colors make it look good with several of my coats. I may get a couple more next year to go with other coats I own. I highly recommend this scarf.

The scarf is soft and warm. I love it. It came just in time for the severe cold spell we're having.

Outstanding quality, and as you know, lambswool is not cashmere so it it warm and scratchy for me. But the size, quality and design (I got the shades of brown, cream and dark brown) is superb. Since it is going "on top" of my coat, the texture/scratchiness is not an issue. You won't be sorry!
