The red plaid was bright and what I was hoping for, and the scarf was well made, but it was scratchy and uncomfortable to wear, I returned it.

My daughter's Christmas was a little brighter when she received her LL Bearn Irish Lamb's wool scarf. My other daughter was a little disappointed because they were sold out of the scarf we had selected for her. LL Bean your cutting your inventory a little to close.
We still order from LL Bean on occasion but are always disappointed with goods not made in America anymore. Your catalog at one time represented good old fashion made in America products.
LL Bean you still have an excellent staff working your phones. Please consider the lady who waited on me by giving her a raise.
Happy New Year 2014. Hoping you freshen up your Spring catalog with new items.

I purchased the gray/blue scarf. It was just ok, nothing special. The scarf is stiff when I try to do a wrap and doesn't lie right. If I had seen it in a store, I would not have purchased. IMO, the quality did not warrant the purchase price.

I rarely order anything from LL Bean that I am not just head over heels in love with. I purchased this scarf and have been very much looking forward to it's arrival. If I am being completely honest, I am so completely underwhelmed by this item. It's not very large and even worse, it's not soft (before anyone thinks I just don't know what wool feels like, I have many wool LL Bean items that are soft).
Positives- it's warm despite being short and narrow and the color is accurately depicted.
I will keep this because sending it back is a hassle, but I am not loving it and won't get another color

Beautiful scarf but the lambswool is stiff and scratchy. Do not buy if you are looking for softness.

I liked the design, color, and length but returned it because it was too scratchy to wear.

Based on the reviews, I was excited to receive this scarf as a beautiful addition to my winter wardrobe. When it arrived, I was completely disappointed. The scarf is thin and scratchy. I'll be returning it and looking for something that feels more cozy.

I was very disappointed, and contemplated returning it.
It was not soft to the touch, but rather scratchy and harsh against the skin.

Bought 1 week ago. Sugarplum color - nice but drab. Closest I could get to match a purplish jacket from Bean (nothing ever matches!). I expected that the "lambswool" would be much softer - this is well-made, colors fine if understated BUT it scratches like no lambswool I have ever had. I am keeping it, but if I had seen & felt it in person, I probably would have passed it by. It says "dry clean" but I will put it in some fabric softener to see if that helps. Cold water & I won't put it in the dryer though. Expected better from LLBean! I am actually getting the man's version for another color, so I am not entirely disappointed.

The scarf's dimensions were not accurate, making for less surface area when covering my neck. Great wool, just not enough for a 6 foot man.

The pictures are deceiving. This scarf is very, very short and definitely NOT 6 inches longer. Very disappointing that LL BEAN would deceive their customers. Not buying from them again and to return we have to pay? So not worth it.

The scarf is definitely beautiful, but alas, it is terribly itchy. It made my head, face, and neck itch. I've had lambswool before that did not itch.
