It is a beautiful and soft wool scarf, something I was wanting to for a long time. The colors are so pretty, and it will match most of my wardrobe in this coming winter. Yes, I recommend this product.

Wow! I mean WOW, just Wow! The photo simply doesn't do the Katahdin Khaki Plaid scarf justice; it's stunning! I saw it shortly after it was put on display at the store (Oakbrook in IL). I tried it on and it's sooo soft and comfortably warming! There's no need to worry about this beauty being itchy. Since I had a handful of purchases I put it back on the shelf. That decision gnawed at me so a couple of days later I went back, purchased it and wore it out of the store. I haven't ventured outside without it since buying it; first impressions have withstood the test of time. There was significantly less stock on that return trip and now I see it's sold out. Note to L.L. Bean Purchasing Dept.: Please re-order the Katahdin Khaki Plaid iteration of this scarf next year and (at least!) double the quantity. You're on to a winner. I want to get another one of these for my daughter. You should also consider adding a matching wool throw. This pattern is gorgeous!

The color is a lovely wine-red and it goes with so many outfits due to the colors in the plaid. Size is just right.
