It seems like a good chair which is why I gave it 4 stars. However the description says it is 16 inches high. It isn't it is 14. I specifically purchased it because it was 16 and at 14 I can't get up out of it on a hard surface let alone dirt. I so wish it was 16 as advertised.

A comfy little camp chair that doesn't take up a lot of space in my car when packed. It's heavier than similar chairs from other companies, but it's more stable and also less expensive. I would never take a chair backpacking anyway, so I don't really care about the weight. Might be improved with a small mesh pocket on the outside for holding a book or something.

I love so much about this chair. It's light. It's comfortable. Nice color. Alas, I find that I am not strong enough to stretch the fabric over the frame when putting it together. I need my husband's help.

Comfortable, but very difficult to put together the first time. The chair seems way too small for the frame. I finally had a young man - a former Boy Scout - put it together for me. I couldn't have done it myself.

These are well built and seem sturdy enough. Didn't have any issues putting them together like some others but there are significantly lower to the ground than they look in the photo. I returned them

Light weight and very portable. Is a challenge to disassemble and get back in the bag.

These chairs are fine for children but as an older adult I found them to be much smaller than I thought they would be so I have returned them. I need a higher back. But the chairs really are nice and I would recommend them to families with children.

The bugs can bite you through the mesh!. The chair would be perfect if the material used was sold and not mesh. When using them we have to line them with a towel or something to keep from getting bit from mosquitos and other bugs.

It's a bit too small. Great for kids, but my fat butt doesn't fit very well.

The chair overall is nice and seems sturdy after using it a few times. The bag that the chair is stored in ripped when I was putting the chair away for the first time. It ripped so bad that the bag is not usable anymore. If you don't care about the quality of the bag, then this chair is alright. I currently just have the pieces (chair frame and chair fabric/sling) siting loose in one of my camping bins

I returned this chair it did not work for me. It is too low to get out of for my old knees.

The chair is comfortable when it's not sinking into the ground. I took it remote camping (and it was dry) and the chair sunk into the dirt. I only weigh 175 lbs! I wound up having to use my cooler as a camp chair.

I loved this chair for the time that it functioned. Unfortunately, the top "pocket"--where the pole inserts--tore through. I stitched a pad over the hole, only to have the other side rip through a few months later. I weigh 150 lbs, so I don't think weight was the issue.

I couldn't get this chair assembled. It was impossible to stretch the fabric over the frame. I could also see that it would be too small for adults. It was not tall enough. If one could get it assembled it might be okay for a child. Certainly not worth the price.

Cannot be assembled We bought two of these. I saw the reviews where people had trouble assembling it, but went ahead anyway, hoping it was just a QC issue with a few pieces. With both of the chairs we received, the fabric seat will not fit on the frame. There's not much give to the frame, so it's not a matter of strength to pull it on. There is simply no way it will go on. It is inches short. Surprised Bean would send something out like this.

This chair was impossible to assemble even with a friend's help. We finally decided that the nylon/mesh seating portion of the chair was too small to fit the frame so I'll be returning this one for a refund.

Why L.L.Bean is selling these chairs is a mystery to me. I purchased 2 in a rare impulse buy based on an ad. The design concept is good, but the execution is terrible. At the very least, the manufacturer lacks effective quality assurance. Neither chair could be assembled because the dimensions of the fabric seat material are less than the extended frame. It simply cannot be assembled. I thought maybe I was somehow missing some tricky assembly step, but no. I found that there were many reviewers with the same experience. The manufacturer clearly produces and L.L.Bean sells these chairs with a high defective rate. I'm very disappointed.

This chair is impossible to assemble as I have limited use of one hand. I expexcted much better of LL Bean than this chair.

Mine arrived and while base poke were easy to put together there was no physical way to pull seat onto the frame to use it. I didn't try another make of design to see if it was a fluke.

If we had been able to put it together -- which we weren't -- its legs would have been too short.

I was able to set up the frame but I was not able to stretch the material completely over it. The material was about an inch short of the fourth "post." Also, the chair was much smaller than I thought. I mailed the chair back to LLBean for full purchase refund.
