Great backpack with many pockets. Great for carry on an airplane

I bought this at LL Bean's anchor store in Freeport, ME, and traveled with it the same day to Latin America. I can't believe how much it holds -- and without exceeding carry-on size. There are 3 separate inner zippered compartments, one with a space for a laptop, another with a sleeve divider, and yet another with a sleeve divider and small zipped compartment. There are also 2 small external compartments large enough for my phone and passport. I used the front zippered compartment for things needed during travel (snacks, a book), the middle compartment for clothes, sandals, toiletries, etc., and the back compartment for my laptop and more clothes. There's also an unzippered pocket on the front of the pack, and the usual side pockets for an umbrella or water bottles. My phone fit into the small zippered compartment on top of the bag, and my passport and travel info went into the zippered compartment on the front of the bag. This is the perfect bag for folks who like to organize their stuff for easy retrieval. Absolutely love this backpack!

I bought this to use as a personal item when travelling. It is perfect for stashing under the seat and is perfect for a couple day trip by itself. This would make a perfect backpack for a high school or college student. Typical LL Bean quality, large capacity, great color, comfortable to wear.

Well made large backpack perfect for my college student

Fantastic backpack! I upgraded my everyday carry backpack from an old LL Bean Turbo Transit backpack to the new Comfort Carry. Both are 42Ls and have a similar design but the improvements are worth getting the new backpack. These are HUGE backpacks; not everyone needs such a big bag, but I work and go to grad school, so I need to carry a lot. What I love about the Comfort Carry are the compression straps and the fact it's more structured than the old Turbo Transit backpack. The Comfort Carry fits just as much but with the compression straps, it never looks that gigantic. I really can't find anything wrong with the Comfort Carry, it's comfortable, holds a TON of stuff, and while not waterproof, it held up pretty decently in the rain.

My nephew says it's the best backpack he has ever had! Holds a larger size laptop and all of the books a high school student needs. Excellent room, straps and compartments.

Excellent backpack for my 6th grade daughter. She loves all the space and pockets for organizing, and the backpack is nicely balanced for carrying a full load of books/homework.

I used this backpack to while traveling for 20 days on a trip to Uganda, Africa. It was exactly what I needed to use during the flights and while traveling on the mission trip. The straps were comfortable and the storage capacity was generous. Tough construction was appreciated as we loaded and unloaded many times on our journeys throughout Uganda and even into South Sudan. I would recommend this backpack for those who need a good quality item.

A year and a half ago our son chose a backpack from a reputable backpacking and camping company. He chose it because of its size and its color and its supposed reputation. A year and a half later it completely deconstructed in the zipper area and could not be repaired. We mailed it back to the company and they refused to stand by their product and replace it. They offered us a 20% coupon! So this time I insisted that he get a backpack from a company that actually will stand by their product and has a good product to begin with. H's very happy with his new backpack. He is in college and studying engineering and frequently spends his whole day away from his apartment, so the backpack gets quite full. This backpack is rugged and will hold all the things that he needs for a day on campus.

Got for grandson for Christmas, needed for senior year of high school and then for college. He loved many compartments and pockets

I got this backpack because I am a college student that is in nursing school and I needed something that was going to hold my computer and textbooks. This backpack holds everything and I still have room to spare. When I have this all filled up the weight is evenly distributed so it doesn't feel heavy on my shoulders. If you are a student or go to school and need to carry alot of things with you this backpack is the one. I was going to go with a cheaper one but glad I didn't because I absolutly love this backpack. I've read in other reviews that the straps have broken or ripped but i have not had that problem yet.

My grandson loves this backpack. It holds everything including folders, computer, and lunch bag.

My Granddaughter picked this one out. It arrived and she was so happy with the number of pockets and zippered areas for all her things. Being a junior and in Honor Society she has many things going on. The construction was top notch. Thanks for a great product and making this Grandma look so good!!

I use this backpack to travel during Thanksgiving Day week. It was perfect! I fit everything I needed and didn't have to check it in at the airport! Fit under the seat with no problem. The color pink was pretty.

I bought one of these. I forgot to use my Bean Bucks. As I was ready to send it back for a credit, a neighbor saw me doing it and told me... "I will buy that from you right now". So, he gave me the money and was "THRILLED" with this bag. Anyway, I also ordered this same backpack again. My neighbor is gong on vacation for a few months. I wanted to give her something "special"... so I ordered one for her too. She was "over the moon DELIGHTED". These backpacks/book bags are without a doubt the best ever made out there. They are THE STRONG AND CAN HANDLE ANY WEATHER. I have a few of them myself.

I bought this 2 years ago and I love it! Sturdy, lots of room, and cute! I got the blue/green color and have received many compliments on it!
