I had to re-order a large- I wear Men's shoe size 9.5. Very good boot sock- comfortable and warm.

Christmas just wouldn't be right if I did not get these socks for my son and son-in-law every year! they love them! Something about the band across the instep has them raving about the comfort.

First pair. Think they will work great in my boots this winter as I snowshoe around our woods.

The boot socks are excellent: perfect fit for size 8; warm, comfortable, just the right amount of elasticity to hug the foot and leg and stay up without sliding down to the ankle. I like the slightly padded heal and toe. I have been a faithful and long time wearer of LL Bean.s merino wool ragg socks but I just might convert. Would like to see other color choices if at all possible.

Quite possibly the best socks ever made. I didn't take them off the first 3 days I had them.

Love these socks so much I had to buy another pair! Nothing in the world is better than when I wear them with my wicked good slippers, keep my feet toasty even during a football game on a cold November night. I highly recommend them, they are quality!

I ordered these socks because I will be working outdoors all winter and wanted some socks to keep me warm and dry. So far they have been great. They are a little pricy but I think the purchase was right for me.

When temperatures are low and I'm struggling with cold feet, these are the socks that I reach for. BEST socks for warmth that I have ever owned. Plus, they are comfortably soft and rugged enough to withstand plenty of washes.

This is to be a Christmas gift (ha, a stocking-stuffer!) for my husband, so I can't really review them yet, but ... he has four other pairs of this "type" sock from LLBean and they are always in the laundry. When they are clean, they are the first socks he picks out of his sock drawer. He wears lace-up farm boots all day six days a week and these socks are definitely his favorites. The others vary in age and have gone through lots of wear and laundering and still look good. If I can remember they are in a wash load, I prefer to lay them flat to air-dry, but they have gone through the dryer plenty of times with no evident harm.

Best pair of socks I've ever bought. Heavy, but not so much that they can be worn comfortably only in extreme conditions. Highest rating. (Qualifier: I've not yet washed the sox, so I don't know how they'll be afterwards, but it's inconceivable that I'll be any less pleased.)

With my last purchase, I now have four pair of these socks. These are my "go to" socks for my Maine Hunting Boots and I wear them daily with other shoes during the winter season here in NC. I haven't found any other socks that compare with these. I especially like the fact they don't slide down your leg even after a long day of wear or many washings. Little pricey but they last so long they are well worth the price.

I wear these sox with my hiking boots when I hike in the Black Hills of South Dakota where I live. They are very thick and warm and soft, and the cushioning is outstanding. I have small feet for a man, so I almost ordered the small. Then I realized they are unisex and that small is meant for women with small feet, so using the sizing chart, I bought the medium, which is designed for men with feet my size (men's size 8), and they fit perfectly. But they are stretchy, so they would fit a range of small feet. Though they are clearly designed for winter use (due to their thick Marino wool), I use them even in the summer for their comfort. They are an enormous improvement over my thin white athletic sox.

I tried wearing my new Cresta boots with my cheap white athletic socks. The boots weren't very comfortable. I purchased these boot socks from Bean and my boots were instantly very comfortable. So I purchased 3 more pair. I hope this is helpful.

Luv these socks...always perfect fit. You know you have to have good socks that fit just like you have to have shoes that fit. Socks are very important....buy good ones....like these!!!

After purchasing two pair of the socks, I have added another six because they are warm, well padded, and fit perfectly. I wear them everyday despite the fact I also have several pair of other socks from L.L. Bean. I would highly recommend the socks to anyone.

I bought my husband a pair of these socks at least 12 years ago. He wore them a great deal on jobs he was on in the wilderness doing construction of roads etc. He loved them. A few years back he was seriously injured on the job with the result of having problems with circulation in both legs. He began to wear that one pair of socks more and more til they finally began to wear out. That is why I just ordered two more and will probably do so again. They are top quality and keep his feet warm when other socks are not able to do so. Thank you LL Bean for your high quality materials and commitment to excellence.

Great fit and love wearing them

Warm, soft and comfortable. No bunching or uncomfortable seams. I spend a lot of time outdoors in winter and these keep my feet about as warm as any socks.

You get what you pay for with these socks. I use these for winter hiking with my higher cut, heavier-duty winter hiking boots. They keep my feet warm and dry, but even better, they stay put on your foot and don't slide down and around or bunch up like cheaper socks which have no construction to prevent such disappointing performance. Cheap "boot" socks are usually just cheap tube socks. Not these LLB boot socks, however.b
