I purchased socks for Christmas gifts for son-in-law, grandsons, granddaughter. They wear socks for farm work, hunting and walking to college classes. They love the socks!

I wear a size 14 shoe and these fit beautifully. They are thick but not bulky - they also have plenty of stretch. I wear them next to my skin without another pair of socks- they are comfortable and keep my feet warm working outdoors in 15-25 degree weather. I wear these socks with uninsulated hiking boots.

Provides great balance of comfort (cushioning and fit) and warmth. Feel even better after washing, very little if any shrinkage. But it seems like they fit better after a couple of washes.

Great socks for keeping feet warm and comfortable. Nice and thick. The pair I got 2 years ago is still in great condition. Just bought another pair.

I've had a pair for the last 4 or 5 years and wear them 10-15 times a year. They are fantastic.

The normal high quality of Bean products once again. These are great. Keep in mind, these are thick socks. Very warm, great with boots, but if worn with regular shoes it will be a tight fit.

Great Sock. Only sock I use on the Motorcycle. Can be used year round, great padding, excellent warmth and wonderful quality.

The socks were a belated Christmas gift to my son.

Thick, soft, warm, comfortable. Not itchy. More comfortable than my cotton socks. Washed several times-no problems. I wear a women's size 7 and the size chart was perfect.

I ordered a pair of these socks for my husband to try. He often works outside, but he has always purchased regular work socks from box stores. I saw these and thought he might benefit from more expensive, wool socks. He LOVES these socks. He said they are noticeably warmer than any other socks he's purchased in the past. Also, he is 6'4" and wears a size 15 shoe. I ordered the XL and they fit him with no problems. The winters get pretty cold, so I will be ordering more for him so he can wear them all winter. I've never paid $20 for a pair of socks before, but this was money very well spent. I am very happy with the quality, value, and, most importantly, my husband's warmth and positive feedback.

these socks are awesome. Perfect for the unlined bean boots or any botts in general. They keep your feet warm and dry. Go by the sizing guide because you want these socks snug and not loose. Better that way for wicking away moisture!

I'm updating my original review from 3 stars to 5. Original Review: "These are actually great socks. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because the size is off. I wear an 8 1/2-9 shoe, & L.L.Beans size chart says to order a medium. I have a small foot & usually have a hard time getting socks that aren't too big, but I ordered the medium & they're way too small! The area where your heel is supposed to go is completely on the bottom of my foot. Since I've never had any problems with L.L.Beans sizes before, I thought, well, maybe they stretch. These are very well made & haven't stretched at all. I'm hoping that after washing, these will fit my girlfriends feet, & I'll buy a large." Review Update: I did give the 1st pair to my girlfriend & she loves them. I bought the large size, & they fit perfect! I have some circulation problems in my toes, & these keep them toasty warm. Haven't skied in them yet, but will soon.

Supper warm and fits well on the foot and in the winter boots. No bunching up. The family has used these socks for many years now. They wash and wear well for many outdoor winter events.

Comfy and durable. These are my go-to socks when I want WARMTH. For even added warmth, I layer with a thin cotton sock on the inside. I highly recommend these socks.

These socks are great. They are super warm and comfortable and fall right in the middle of my calf. I wear a women's shoe size 9 (8 in Bean boots) and I ordered a large. They are a bit big if I wear them by themselves but they fit perfectly if I have another smaller pair of socks underneath.

Pair Number 6 is on the way. They look small but fit perfectly. He is not putting them in the dryer but it is no trouble air drying next to his basement shop. He is watching over them in a protective manner and turning inside out to wash. The thickness is filling up shoes that have never fit so well. No shoe store can truly make him comfortable but these socks have him ecstatic. I just gave him one of my mesh laundry bags so he can remove it from the wash cycle easily and treat all the socks to the special care he thinks they deserve. The snugging arch is helping his pathologically flat foot love the socks also. Just don't discontinue his new friends and disappoint him.

I have 4 pairs of these socks. I would say they are the best socks for any hunting or work boots. I also wear them in the house in the winter. They are too thick to wear with any bedroom shoes but willl keep your feet warm. They hold up very well, I never write any good reviews on any items if that tells you what I think......5 stars.

Have been buying these boot socks for years as Christmas gifts for all the men in my family. They love these socks. Comfortable and warm especially when they are out there shoveling snow. One BIL works for the post office delivering mail. Says these socks are the best for those long days outside in the cold.
