I am a Californian living through my first Chicago winter. My only regret about these socks is that I can't wear them every day. They make my feet so happy.

I had some concerns about wearing boot socks at work, but these socks are so comfortable that I didn't even know that I had them on. They are also good as slippers and I can wear them around the house if the floors are chilly.

These socks were a real find -- I picked them up while on the search for another winter item (which I bought). Happened to see these while standing in the check-out line at the Dedham, MA LL Bean store. Just what I had been looking for but having a hard time finding elsewhere & hadn't realized existed at Bean's! These are sturdy & thick, very much comparable in quality to more expensive competing brands. I've been giving them a workout in below zero to plus 15 degree (F) days with a liner sock inside. They fill the boots but are not over-thick and they do the job -- my feet have not been cold since buying these. They wash well. After several washes in the last 4 weeks, I haven't noticed any shrinkage in the extra large size I bought for my size 13 feet. These are keepers, a true discovery and a real cushioned pleasure to wear outdoors as socks and indoors as comfortable wool slippers that keep off the chill.

Gave these slippers to my daughter for Christmas and she loves them. My other daughter now wants a pair. A little pricey for slippers but well made and looks as though they will last.

Excellent quality,I was skeptical at first using the size chart. I followed the chart for sizing and they fit perfectly. The buffalo hide on the one pair of boots was superior in quality.The second pair of boots - although not buffalo hide- also superior in fit and quality. Comfort is great. Would buy again. This is my 6th purchase of LLBean boots, and probably not my last. Different uses for each pair,especially due to their superior quality of being waterproof! Also,great ankle support. I've worn these socks a couple times in the month that I have had them and they are comfortable and warm. I have washed them once based on the instructions that came with the socks and have had no issues. If there are any issues with the socks going forward I will update my review, but as of right now, I recommend them!

At $19.95 you expect a great product and LL Bean delivers. I have a 10.5 EE foot and prefer the XL boot sock for added stretch and comfort. These socks last a long time and look great!

I bought a couple of pairs of these LLB Boot Socks and also the LLB 16" Wool Raggs for an excursion to ND. I wore these once with my shorter winter boots and was pleased with them. I needed to switch to my taller winter boots, after my shorter boots got wet. Somewhere along the way, my coworkers helped themselves to my LLB Boot Socks. Never saw them again. So, I guess they liked them A LOT. I prefer the 16" wool ragg for sub zero temps, but these boot socks were comfortable and good for short walks, indoors and as sleep socks. I miss them for sleep socks! They were just a bit short for my tall women's boots, though. I cannot attest to how these socks held up over time, as other people are currently wearing them. I hope your feeet are warm, naughty coworkers (You know who you are, LOL!)

Get them. Worth it. Very warm and comfortable and fit well into boots.

I ordered this item in January of this year, when we were freezing in New York. It served my husband well then and now back home I am the one wearing it, but indoors at home, because my feet get cold easily. I wear these thick socks over regular socks, and they serve instead of slippers. Slippers get dirty, but these can be washed and so stay clean.

Keep feet warm in the Winter, dry with no blisters in the Summer. Use these year round for a nicely cushioned fit. Perfect for gardening and landscaping with 6-inch Bean Boots! (I own a dozen pairs.)

Im the cheapest, cause i am poor, around. Dont leave home with out them. well worth the $20. Last forever!

These socks are amazing. I put them on this morning before class knowing it was about 33 degrees outside. I walked to class and my feet are not sweaty at all while paired with the Bean Boots. My feet feel pretty comfortable. The lining of the socks are thick and comfortable and make my feet feel perfectly snugged into these boots. They are a must have if you are wearing with L.L. Bean Boots!

My foot is 11.5 wide and I purchased the XL. They fit nice and snug. Very warm and comfortable. If you wear it around the house, these are slippery on tile and wood floors; if you have carpet its fine. Very happy with quality here, just wish the sizing chart was more accurate. I just purchased another pair for my dad, size L for 9.5.

I am a woman writing this review. I have a drawer full of LLBean socks. These boots socks really help my feet since I have plantar faciitis. They are thick, really warm, last a long time, and fit me well. I wear an 8 1/2 wide women's shoe because I wear orthotics. These fit me extremely well in a size medium. It's time for me to replace some of the socks I've had for a few years. I ordered one pair and intend on ordering more maybe when the next holiday sale comes along. Great product! Highly recommended.

Not sure I can add much to the previous comments; these buggers are warm with great cushion. Large fits great & perfect for my LL Bean boots and Zamberlan hikers. Should work indoors by the fire.

Took a flier on a pair of these when I ordered my boots, tried them on when they arrived, and immediately ordered another pair. Extremely comfortable, warm without being clingy or sweaty. I wear a 9-9.5 in running shoes and an 8 in Bean boots, and the medium was just right. My only complaint is that they aren't offered in black so I can wear them at work!

Since previously reviewing these socks, I have hiked many more miles in them. I am more impressed than ever. The fabric is so exceptional that no liner socks are needed to avoid blisters. I have worn liner socks for years while backpacking, but these socks eliminate the necessity for liner socks. With these socks I have a much better feel for the trail because they allow my feet (especially my toes) to move very freely inside my boot. The harshest test this summer was hiking up and down over 4,000 feet in 88 degree heat with a 30-pound pack. The descent of such a steep trail is hard on the toes and often produces blisters. Wearing these socks, I had none. Thank you, LL Bean!

For years I have backpacked with name brand pure merino socks, but I recently switched to these LL Bean boot socks which are superior because of their cushioning and breathability. I wear them with Coolmax liner socks because I am somewhat prone to blisters, but for many that would not be necessary. At the end of a 10+ mile day with a 29-pound pack, my feet are noticeably drier inside my boots thanks to the breathability of these socks. I only bring one pair for a three-day trip because I know they will dry inside my sleeping bag overnight. Another fine product from LL Bean.

I purchased these for my LL Bean boots. Just needed something thick, warm and comfortable. They exceed my expectations and are the finest socks I have ever purchased. After receiving my first pairs I immediately ordered 5 more. They will be used on an Alaska trip in May of 2017.

I ordered 1 pair to see if I would like them. These socks are great. I am ordering 5 more pair and a pair for my wife to try. I have found my new work boot sock after trying all the other "work socks." GREAT product.

Glad I took the advise of a L.L. Bean Product Specialist. They recommended this particular sock to wear for a comfortable fit with a recent Boot Purchase. Besides the perfect fit with the Boots, they feel comfortable & provide enough warmth too! Besides my overall satisfaction, I was ecstatic when I found them on Sale when I ordered !
