Over the years, I have purchased seven (7) Heavy Boot Sox's, five (5) Mid weight hiking sox's and four (4) Light weight hiking sox's. I am truly an "Out Sider". Year round summer, fall and winter; these sox's have never let me down. There are more expensive sox's on the market, but for the money, these are just what I expect form L.L.Bean, great.

Soft, cushioned never got a blister even after 6hrs of walking up and down hills

Got them for my wife for her new winter snow boots. No serious snow so far here in RI this winter but she's tried them on and loves them: good fit, height and thickness.

I bought my first pair of Bean's Boot Socks about 15 years ago. Boots have worn out but the original socks, although thinner, remain wearable after all that time. I always wear a lightweight wicking sock under the boot socks whether wearing leather upland boots, hiking boots, or rubber bottom Pacs. I now live in Florida where I wear these boot socks under my waders when fishing/wading the flats during winter months and they are many times better than any alternatives I find in the local stores. Each October I still hunt Grouse in NH wearing the original 12-year old socks along with newer ones. I have never found a better Fall & Winter boot sock.

Bought for my brother and he loved them. He has problems finding socks that fit a 13-14 shoe size. He says they are thick and warm.

Excellent quality but too thick for my boots but I got into them with these very heavy weight socks. They definitely Live up to a super warm cold weather sock. Recommend having an 1/2 size larger boot to handle the additional space that these socks require. Very high quality but a bit bulky.

They are like little clouds for your feet... and they really do up the comfort of the already comfortable Bean boots

Teamed these with a pair of Bean hunting boots. They were made for each other. Fit well, high enough to easily be over the boot top. Haven't had them long enough to address long term use, but have no reason to question that.

I'm a huge fan of LL Bean socks and these live up to the LL Bean name. They are true to size and they are very warm.

Dang, these things are warm! Can't wait to give them a real sub-zero test. They are bulky so you need to loosen your laces.

Great Winter socks-but on the expensive side

I absolutely LIVE in these socks in the winter....outside and inside....Inside I rarely take them off and use them like slipper socks, they're so sturdy and comfy...I've also given them for gifts and they always love them!...

My husband wears these year ' round. They're warm in winter and cool in summer. The Merino wool isn't scratchy. There is a lot of cushion in these socks. They wear very well, this is his second order for them. He did finally wear the last order out. We recommend them.

I bought these socks for my husband. He goes through socks like crazy! He's extremely flat footed and I am always looking for socks that will hold up for him and not wear out in a month. I think we finally found some. He has three pair now. I bought him some year ago and he still has them and they don't have holes in them at all. They are a little pricey but they last. I would rather spend more money and get good quality socks than buy cheap ones every few weeks. He likes them very much and tells me they are comfortable and warm. He has to wear good hiking boots for his feet and ankles, so I would rather get him these great boot socks and have him be comfortable and have them last. I try to get them when they are on sale to save a little money. They wash well and they didn't shrink in the dryer. My husband is very pleased with our purchase. I would definitely recommend them for anyone that wants comfortable socks and is hard on socks like my husband is. My hubby is happy!

These boot socks are really good for keeping your feet warm at night. They hold up well to machine washing and drying. We will probably order more as needed.

I live in central Maine. The weather gets pretty cold up here and these socks perform beautifully. They keep my feet warm and are extremely comfortable. The seam over the toes is flat which adds to the comfort level. Once I started wearing these socks I donated all my other winter socks to Goodwill and use only these. I love them. Period.

You get what you pay for. These are expensive but worth the price.The workman's is superb . They are perfectly fitting hiking socks. I used one pair for snow shoes hiking up Hunter Mt last week.The fit ,comfort was so amazing.Since it comes in your foot size there is no extra Sox's material in your boots.I highly recommend it.. I will bring them along for our Dolomites hikes this summer.

I love the Bean socks I've been wearing for at least a few years and decided it was time for another pair. Last week I put on the new pair and think they are better than the pair I've had. What I like best beside the fact they are so warm is that I was totally unaware that there is a seam across the toe area which can be a problem with some socks I purchase. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with a pair of these socks.

They are my sole mates! Great socks!
