I like the socks. I like merino wool-it does not harbor bacteria that causes odor. The socks fit great with my new LL Bean boots!

The merino wool 10" high socks I purchased from L. L. Bean are warm, comfortable, and perfect for wearing with my L. L. Bean slip-on shoes during the cold winter months, and the merino wool is not itchy like other wools. I love them!

Bought these for my husband for Christmas. Unfortunately they were back ordered but that lets you know what a good product these are. They are warm and machine washable. Not too tight either which makes it easier for an older person to put on and take off. Time will tell how long lasting they are but I have high hopes since they are made by llbean.

I ordered per the size chart for my shoe size (7 1/2 to 8) and socks fit very well. I have no issues with the seam on the toe. It sits about an inch down from the tips of my toes, lies on top of sock and is not bothersome. This seam is what you will always find on manufactured socks. To eliminate, you can always knit your own. But, it's much faster if you order from LL Bean! I wash them in cold water and hang to dry to avoid shrinkage. The length is a little more than I like at 10", but that's how they're advertised. They are not crew socks. They come up about mid-shin on me. I recommend these socks.

I have a hard time finding socks like these that will fit over my calves. These not only fit went over them and aren't tight at all. Love them and can't wait to order more!!!

Gifted this item for "little brother" last year, and he liked them so much I bought him more. Please note: his shoe size is 16 and the fit is great.

I bought the 9-12 size.I wear size 9 shoes.I knew they would shrink a little.All wool products do once they are washed and dried.They are well made socks.like all l.l.Bean products I expect years of use.

Bought these for husband as Christmas gift. He won't write reviews, but he's enjoying his socks. Wanted him to have some warm ones for the winter. So far, so good. He's wearing them!!! ;-)

This sock is very comfortable to wear and keeps my feet toasty warm. As I have small feet, the small size was a perfect fit. I would definitely buy them again!

I knew I liked merino socks but hadn't bought any from here. I can't praise them enough. My feet get cold easily so winter is a never ending quest for warm feet. These socks are hardy and most comfortable (no problems with toe seam). They are very warm, which suits me fine. I even wore those ski type feet warmers with them (boy, that was toasty nice) and it came off easily, not hurting the sock at all. That has been my experience with merino all along. I now have several pairs of these as I went back and bought more after I got the first ones. You won't go wrong with these socks!

Love them both especially the pair that has pink!

my wife will only face winter in these socks. she insists on a flannel nightgown as well. keeps the dark and wet at bay.

They're thick and warm but not at all tight. After wearing all sorts of other socks for years, I remembered these and ended up thinning all my other winter socks.

Very comfortable for me and my boots, plus they are made in Ireland so they are quality. Not too much elastic either.

They may feel a little big when first worn but after the first wash they are just right. They are cozy but not so warm that they cause my feet to sweat.

They are great for the colder weather - I love them.
