I bought this hat for the color, love periwinkle. I did not expect it to look so good on. It fits my head and I like the way I look wearing it which is a nice change from the other winter hats I have currently. Comfortable and stylish at the same time, love the fur trim.

Most hats are too large for me, because I have a small sized head. The S/M I ordered fit perfectly, doesn't fall over my eyes, doesn't keep pushing my hair down over my eyes, but, most importantly, it keeps me warm! If you have a standard sized head, order the larger size. Otherwise, it's a great hat.

This hat is warm and snug without being hot. I shoveled snow in it and it didn't make my head sweat, a problem I have with fleece. Fits well, not too tight or two loose. The chin snap is kind of hard to undo when your hands are cold, but that's a small thing.

I had been waiting for my bomber hat to go out and walk my choc lab, Holly, in the windy 30 degree weather and it arrived in time!! it is soft and sooo warm! The chin strap is adjustable and comfortable; keeps it in place even when Holly and I decide to run a bit. The large is not too big and doesn't flatten or mess up my hair. Good value again, LL Bean!

I bought a brown one last year and was so glad I did. We live in Philadelphia and were hit hard with snow last winter. We also have a dog that has to be walked. During all the walks in the snow this hat kept me warm and dry. I loved it so much that I ordered another one in black this year. By the end of winter everyone at the dog park wanted one!

Because I am a 67 year old grannie who still shovels snow, I thought this would be an investment - which it certainly is. My 13 year old grandaughter has several of these type hats and it was great fun for her to see me modeling mine. She was LOL and brought her friends in to see me! The large fit perfectly and I like the adjustable under chin snap.

I love my new bomber hat. I used it shoveling out a foot of snow last Friday, and to walk my Wheaten, Bailey. It kept me very warm!

Love this style because it's trendy as well as functional. I use it all the time especially with the winter we've been having. Only hat I have that's pretty darn "hair friendly". Love it.

The hat is warm, light, fits and matches my LL bean coat!

I purchased the Ultrawarm 3/4 length coat from LL Bean several years ago, which has served me well, and kept my body nice and toasty through many a freezing, snowing, raining, and/or windy day. However, my head and ears were always cold, and I dislike trying to shove gloves, earmuffs, and a hat into the pockets. I came across this hat, and I have been very pleased with it so far! It keeps me nice and warm without being too hot or crushing my hair. It also takes the place of my earmuffs, which makes one less thing to carry around. The only thing I would change would be to make a men's version - my husband tried mine on and loved how warm it was, but unfortunately it was too small for him. Bottom line: If you're looking for a warm, full coverage hat for winter, this is an excellent buy, and I highly recommend it.

This hat is warm, comfortable and stylish! I agree with a lot of the previous reviewers comments regarding the chin strap. The chin strap seems like an after thought. Even so, I highly recommend this hat.

This is the warmest hat I ever had! Plus it doesn't crush your hair - a real plus as far as I'm concerned.

This hat has become my favorite , it covers your ears & wraps around under your chin for total warmth.

Even though we don't have really bad weather on a regular basis where I live, when you need to be warm and dry this works. It also is the right accessary to the coat.

I love my new hat. I live in the country and it gets really windy. I have used the hat a few times already this fall and it keeps my head nice and warm.

I received this hat in the mail the day before we were leaving for New York City. I wore it up and down 5th Avenue (in the winter) and was as warm as could be. Even with the ear flaps down I could still hear well...it's not too bulky. Everyone traveling with us wanted one. Way to go LL Bean!

This hat is warm and great when the temp is below 25. I walk 4-5 miles/day and needed a warm hat for those days. The downside is the chin strap buckle/fastner. It is extremly hard to open. I am not real agile with my fingers anymore & several times I panicked I would never get it off! A snap rather than a push in fastner would have been best. I am going to sew ties on my hat. However, other than the fastner, the hat is great.

I love my new bomber hat. It goes perfectly with my coat and it does a great job of keeping my head and ears warm. Great for those final football games in the cold midwest.

Like the name says, it's Ultrawarm. I bought the small size for my daughter and she can't get over how warm it keeps her ears and how cute it is too.

I think this hat is great. I had no problem with the fit. I would say i have a medium sized head. Fitted helmets-around 7 3/4. Super warm, looks great. love it. The only think is the chin strap is very thin and a bit uncomfortable...i don't really use it though, so it doesn't effect my opinon of the hat.

When the outdoor temperature dips into the single digits, I wear this bomber hat under a hooded coat for extra warmth. It's well constructed, but lacks a front to back adjustment for smaller heads. Rather than return the hat, I fixed this flaw by stitching a one-inch tuck at the crown.

It's a little tight across the forehead, especially since I wear my hair up a lot. Warm though and great for those blustery days.

Very warm. Snug fit for a normal size head. I wish it was a little roomier.
