Soft, snuggly, and super warm. Clasp wasn't difficult after a few times of wearing the hat. Cute look with a heavy jacket and warm hiking/combat boots!

Super warm. Super soft and comfortable. This was the perfect winter to test it out! With temperatures hovering in the teens throughout January, I was really able to put this hat to the test....and I was not disappointed!

This hat is great. Keeps my head super warm in single digit weather. Have gotten a lot of compliments on it as well. Also, great for vegetarians and vegans due to the faux fur.

I ADORE this hat - cannot say enough good things about it. When I first moved to the Yukon (north of 60 deg. latitude), I bought two, one brown, one black, lacking anything very warm at the time. I wondered whether they would be warm enough in our extremes (-40 to -55 deg.C are normal winter temperatures up here, before wind chill) - however, I need not have worried. They have more than risen to the challenge! No matter what the weather, my ears and head have always been TOASTY WARM, & I find the hats very soft, light & comfortable - could not be more pleased. It's true, the clasp can be a little tricky, but I so love the comfort of these hats, I can live with that. I also find them stylish & very easy to care for. Thank you, LL Bean :-)

my hat is warm, comfy and trendy. wear the flaps down when the winter winds blow. snap the flaps up and you've got a "cool" hat to wear while shopping etc. love it

This hat is so warm and comfortable and very light you forget you have it on your head. When the temperatures are freezing it keeps your ears so warm ,now I dont mind walking my dog any more and best of all no more earaches and brain freeze. This is the best hat I have ever bought,!!!

I ordered this hat (and the matching mittens) to take on a week-long trip to Moscow in January. When it arrived, I was skeptical, because both the hat and mittens felt too thin to actually be warm. However, they were great! Lightweight and kept me toasty warm during the coldest months of Russian winter! Plus they were light and took up very little room in my luggage, and I could stick them in my purse when I went inside shops or restaurants. Perfect!

It's snug (wish there was an in-btween size) and warm, nice and soft inside, and I love it!

I've used this hat through two winters -- it is, by far, the warmest hat I have ever had. The material is also windproof, which helps enormously. Not a fan of how it looks (mad bomber hats in general), but I wear it at a barn and my head and ears are never cold. I pair it with a fleece neck warmer, so my chin and mouth (and nose, on some days!) are covered. The combination ensures I can stay out in the bitter cold for hours. The clasp is a little difficult to work, especially if your fingers are cold. If you have arthritis in your hands, this may not be the hat for you (or consider replacing the existing strap/closure with elastic).

It's hard to find a truly warm hat that doesn't look absolutely ridiculous, but this is it. I bought it in black, it stays on my head, and while I might not wear it to a business meeting, it's pretty darn cute.

Warm and stylin'! I got the s/m - runs on the small side. The m/l would've been too big I'm sure. The catch is a little small. Overall - I am happy with the purchase.

This is the most comfortable bomber hat I have ever owned. I keep my hair cut short and it definitely protects my ears from the cold weather. I love it!!!

Got this hat because it matched a coat I purchased for my wife. She loved them both an said the hat fit well and was very warm.

I wore this to the Patriots - Broncos playoff game when it was only 10-15 degrees for much of the game. Despite the cold, my head was toasty warm! Amazing hat!

I bought this hat for cold walks and standing watching the kids take ski lessons. It's both comfortable and stylish. The ability to clip the earflaps under your chin, on top of the hat or just leave them hanging gives you many options for warmth based on the wind and cold. I've seen other hats for more money that are much lower quality.

I was looking for a substitute for a hood, for those coats with no hood attached. I have several nice coats that I avoid wearing when it is snowing, because I love the warmth and protection of a hood. I ordered this hat in white, which makes it appear dressy. It certainly is cozy & warm. I also ordered it in large because of the reports in other customer reviews. I am quite satisfied.

I bought this hat last year and wore it throughout the winter. Very warm - covers your ears and chin as well. Washes well too!

I received the dark raspberry bomber hat this past week and I absolutely love it! I received the large hat size and it fit perfectly. I got to use it with the wet weather Iowa has been receiving and it dried very quickly, and did not leak through the hat at all. I highly recommend this product. :}

I was embarrassed to be buying this hat because it's kind of goofy looking --- then, I found that these are actually in style! Great construction and very warm.

Well I purchased this for myself and as soon as it came out of the box my teenagers and tweens were fighting over who would get to wear it! It is light weight and the faux fur is very soft. Has not been tested in truly cold weather yet, so far it has done a fine job keeping my ears warm on walks to the bus stop.

Love it, last winter here in the NE was brutal. All of my cashmere hats got soaked when outside and smelled. This cap is adorable on, comfortable and looks great with the matching ski jacket. Wear the flaps up or down. Easy care, whimsicial hat for those brutal windy, Noreasters! Go ahead get one, you wont' be disappointed- only wish I had gotten one last year- value priced- others in the marketplace are two and three times the price- without the LLBean workmanship or quality guarantee, found size true to size.
