My daughter loves this tote bag with long handles and zipper closure to carry her needlepoint materials. The monogram "in stitches" was too long for LL Bean to do and easily done by a local monogram store

I bought two bags (size large) for myself and my young daughter, to sort our things and be prepared for the school/work day. I love the handles, semi-rigid sides, and how much they can hold. For example, for myself, I put my work laptop bag, my gym clothes, my lunch, and any other odds and ends, including shoes. For my daughter, I can pack her school stuff, swim/sports stuff, and extra clothing. I rarely use the zip top, and it doesn't get in the way, but I find it really useful if it is raining, or if I leave them on the floor overnight with snacks in them, to prevent my dog from going snack surfing. Highly recommend getting them monogrammed too, it makes me feel special! I sling mine over my shoulder comfortably or I can carry it while walking and it doesn't drag on the ground. Hope they last many, many years or decades even.

Endured nearly 2 day power failure in our senior villages, homes powered by electricity only. Every house dark and cold, with temps in lower teens, no way to get heat. The first responders and the Red Cross put everyone without anywhere to go in the township high school gymnasium. The tote was large enough for whatever I needed to take with me. The power came back on for Christmas, but the tote will always remind me of what could've been a disaster without the kindness of strangers. Thank you for a superior product.

I love my boat & tote. Excellent quality!!!! I spent way too long deciding on long vs. short handles and zip vs. open top. Long handles are best to put over your shoulder! And the zip top is great for traveling, the beach, etc. If you don't want to zip, the fabric fits perfectly hidden inside of the bag for an open-bag look - you'd never know it was a zip top.

Just the right size. Durable and classic look. Not my first bag. Will always buy LL Bean.

My 10 year old niece noticed my olive green boat and tote with my monogram while visiting. Exclaiming that she wished she had a bag with her monogram in pink or lavender, To carry her "water bottle and sweater" (very practical). So I'm happy to say this will be her first boat and tote in lavender with her monogram.
