These are nice and have lasted us a few years but they are spot clean which sucks because I want to clean the entire inside. Wish I would have gone with something machine washable

I ordered this with long handles and it did not come this way. The short handles are tiny.

The tote that arrived was much larger than I thought. I was purchasing based on the description in the catalog

Embroidery may be off center when getting customizations.

It was honestly way larger than photos show. I was a bit disappointed :(((

Disappointed with quality, opened up the tote and realized a lot of the threading wasn't done well. A lot of loose ends, frayed edges. Seemed like the quality control may have been off.

This tote is just the cutest. Very sturdy, well made...however the monogram was TERRIBLE!!! Missing stitches in some letters and other letters were overstitched. So excited when it arrived then so disappointed when I opened it. Customer service gal was amazing and got another ordered for me.

I really wanted this bag in all white and was thrilled that it was now available. Sadly, the large is too large and I gave it to my granddaughter. I would be unable to lift it if it was fully packed. I will order a medium size with my next llbean order.

Purchased a few personalized totes pre-pandemic for gifts, for use as grocery totes. More sturdy than the plastic- like ones I'm stores. However, though the three I purchased recently is made of the same sturdy heavy duty canvas, I think the stitching is not heavy enough and are too large to hold up if anything as heavy as groceries are placed in them. They would be ok for beach or picnic supplies, but there needs to be extra bar-tacking at the bottom corners. Not complete satisfied with the recent totes.

Very beautiful bag and I love the quality but disappointed with the size it's too big cannot use it was looking smaller at the pictures on the website :(

The item was not completely sewn. Too bad they are currently sold out because this was going to be a Christmas gift. I can't even exchange it and get a replacement until late January.

I bought this to replace an old one of the same size. The new bag has no pockets at all. The old one had 1 on the outside and 4 on the inside, as well as a key attachment. The outside seams look raw and unfinished. Very disappointing product.

I am Disappointed in this boat and tote bag. The fabric is very stiff. The monogram is quite small, not at all like the website and the paper catalog represent it. The red color is great, very vibrant, but the monogram is small is average looking. I wish I bought the bag without the monogram.

Disappointed. I've had a Boat and Tote for years. All I've custom colored and I absolutely loved them! No longer can you custom color the tote AND the front pocket is no longer there. Bring the front pocket back! The tote, regardless of size is a big, empty void. That's ok because you can put so much inside, it's terrific! The front pocket was a perfect place for keys, little items, loose change, my yacht club key card, etc. Now, with the pocket not there, the tote is just a constant search for keys, little items, loose change and my yacht club key card. I have to say it's disappointing. I'd have to recommend another tote from another maker. That makes me sad because I loved these totes. Please bring the front pocket back!

This is my 3rd large tote bag I've orgered over the years. Imagine my disappointment when this one arrived with NO pockets!! My older one which is still in use has BOTH inside and outside pockets. I can't remember if the other had one or two, but I DO remember it definitely had an outside pocket. Hence, I'm seriously considering returning it and finding one elsewhere WITH POCKETS!!

OVERPRICE BAG NOT WORTH OF THE LL BEAM NAME.

This bag is not as well made as the old bags LL bean use to make about 10 years ago. The last bag I purchased had a front pocket on it where you could easily put your keys with a chain on it. This bag does not have that option. It has no pockets which makes things harder to find, seems cheaper and not as well made.

I have been an avid LLBean customer since moving to Maine 11 yrs ago. Their customer service can't be beat, their floor staff (flagship store in Freeport, ME) are wonderful & helpful. What surprised me the most is when I ordered the small tote with regular handles and found the craftsmanship less than ideal. The bottom corners when folded up & stitched, were off center which changed the shape of the bottom of the bag a lot. Since I live within an hour of Freeport, I will return in person, but again, was disappointed at the workmanship. I hope this is not a reflection of what is to come.

I ordered a monogramed bag for my sister's birthday. The quality of the bag is fine. I received the wrong monogram three times and I just gave up by the third wrong bag. I don't have a store near me so ordering over the phone is my only option. Customer service is very nice but I never received the bag I wanted. It's very disappointing because I couldn't fulfill my sister's gift.

Smaller than I thought , handles cannot be worn across shoulder. Too small

My bag is already fraying on the sides - I have carried it twice- I'm so disappointed.

Bought 2 and had them personalized. The first was fine, the second has frays all along the corner straight from the delivery.

I have been an L.L. Bean customer for over 35 years, and I am genuinely shocked by how far the quality has fallen. The Boat and Tote I purchased just two months ago arrived with an obvious manufacturing defect, the top hem was unraveling and fraying as if it was never properly finished. After checking other reviews, it is clear this is not an isolated issue, many customers have been reporting similar problems, which shows this is an ongoing and unaddressed quality-control failure. The customer service experience somehow managed to make things even worse. I spoke with five different agents, Karen, Allen, Lynn, Eric, and Stephen, and every single one gave me the same unhelpful, contradictory, or incomplete responses. They could not replace the bag because the color will not be restocked for at least six months, and their only solution was to send it in to determine if they are willing to repair if, which would take more than two months, an unreasonable amount of time. There was no partial refund, no credit, and no meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. It was nothing but time-wasting back and forth that led nowhere. This is not the L.L. Bean I grew up trusting. The workmanship has declined, the hems and stitching look cheap, and customer service no longer reflects the brand's legacy of reliability. Based on this experience, and the fact that many others are reporting the same issues, I will not be purchasing from L.L. Bean again. Their reputation no longer matches the quality they are delivering.

This bag is way bigger than expected. I have been eyeing this bag and decided to get one myself. I use the pictures with the model as reference for the size, but it turned out to be way bigger than what I wanted when it arrived today. And it's way too big for my shorter/smaller frame. Unfortunately the bag was monogrammed it so it can't be returned. Should've used the measurements instead of pics for reference.
