The Wave Ride and Wave Inspire shoes that I've purchased both have excellent fit & finish and are very comfortable.

Mizuno Wave Riders had been my go-to shoe for a number of years. For the last couple of years, I had switched to a different make/model. This past month, I went back to Wave Riders and am enjoying them very much. They are great for my style of running, and I love their light weight and cushioning.

The Drop on this shoe is the highest I have ever heard of at 12mm along with the highest Heel Stack height of a whopping 38mm! You will wake up with a severe back-ache as I did wearing this shoe! Mizuno must move to Zero Drop or 4mm Drop shoes or eventually go out of business.

I walk many miles each week in this sneaker. Very comfortable. Only complaint is I wish they lasted longer.

Third year in a row we've bought these shoes for our son for training for cross country and long distance track. Hold up well.

Incredible feeling of support and offer a ton "spring". It is hard to describe the feeling of going from old shoes to new ones, but I can just say that these shoes totally make me understand why newer shoes make you feel faster/like you can immediately PR. True to size for sure which is crucial for me being a size 16, that being said, I needed all of the shoe's space (which I am sure will loosen once fully broken in), only thing to consider if you have an option with .5 sizing.

I love running in the Wave Rider 27. It fits exceptionally well with great heel lock down and cushioning throughout the entire shoe. The shoe provides very smooth transitions and handles faster paces very well. It is currently my favorite shoe to run in on a daily basis.

Shoe was awesome on my first time road running use. I had a pair of Hoka Clifton 8s and those were making my calf and ankle sore after long distance runs possibly due to the heel drop. Switched to these and by far the best running show i own, and i tried brooks/hokas. Worth the buy!

This style is nit the best Mizuno has to offer. I would say it feels at best mediocre in all aspects.

Wish I had bought the Wave Rider 29 . Not a comfortable shoe. Runs small so if buy one half size up and buy wide if you are concerned about width.

Decent padding and comfortable upper. However no support and a mediocre feel overall. Not matching my expectations of previous mizuno styles which I have and are great! The wave plate here is practically non existent. In my previous pair the wave plate feels amazing.

The shoe is nice and stylish, and I like the lighter colors, but the fit is in my opinion not very comfortable. The cushioning is virtually unnoticeable. It has a very flat feel to it. I do have high arches, but King mentioned before was not comforting.

The shoe looks good, but one shoe, the foot/heel opening lip hits my ankle bone (the part that protrudes above the shoe opening). This makes for a painful walk, so I inserted a thin gel insert. That took care of the ankle pain, but it causes the toe box on that shoe to be too small and forces my toes to rub together, and makes a different pain. I've never had a pair of shoes fit so inconsistently where one shoe fits so differently than the other shoe.

I've worn several iterations of the Wave Rider and have always been pleased. But for some reason, in less than two months of wearing, these developed holes in the upper from my big toe rubbing up from underneath. I'm having tot replace them much sooner than normal.

I've worn a size 10 in Mizuno shoes for many years, and love the Wave Riders, so I bought two pairs of the 28s in size 10. I wore them each a few times without thinking about sizing until I realized my toes were tingling and the fit was tighter than expected. A comparison against my size 10 Mizuno tennis shoes confirmed that a 10 of the Wave Rider was significantly shorter. Now I'm stuck with shoes I can't wear comfortably due to inconsistent sizing. Disappointed.

These shoes are causing immense pain to my feet and joints anytime I run with them, and the pain lasts for at least a day after each run. I have also developed foot blisters running with these shoes. I don't understand if they are deformed, as I have always gotten the Wave Rider model since 2013 with no issues. But unfortunately I can no longer wear this model for running or walking. I would be willing to return these shoes for a partial refund, or at least to check if there is something wrong with my particular pair.

I have bought many versions of the Wave Rider over the years, as it has been my primary running shoe. I am so disappointed with the 28. I bought one pair (ordered online) and when it was delivered, although it clearly said 8.5 on the inner tag, felt incredibly tight when I put them on. My toes were crunched in and I knew I couldn't run in them. I figured that in all manufacturing there can be slight defects and maybe I got a defectively small pair. I ordered another and they just arrived and it is the same issue, so clearly it is the current make, unfortunately. So disappointed with this shoe that I have been buying and wearing for years :( Time to explore other options, I guess. If you're going to buy it you may want to size up.
