This is my second pair of Wave Rider 28's. I have also worn the previous versions of the Wave Rider for the past several years. Only shoes I feel comfortable running in. Ran my first marathon this year in the 28's.

Now in my late sixties, I average 35 miles a week. I'm a life-timer as a run. Setting state records in my high school days (over fifty years ago) I attended college on a track scholarship followed by decade of military service and countless distance races (personal favorite being the half marathon). I have experienced at least a dozen brands of running shoes and Mizuno Wave Rider is without question my favorite. Suffering from a serious set back in October of 2020, I had a severe reaction to the COVID vaccine which in short left me paralyzed and in a wheelchair for several months. It took over a year and much physical therapy to learn how to walk again. As a result my foot placement and stride was extremely altered. With that said, I experimented with several brands of shoes in my effort to restore my love for running as there is still significant nerve pain from my vaccine accident. It is with great confidence I can claim the Wave Rider is once again my top pick in running shoe. I hope to be running until the "sands of time" run out in a pair of Wave Rider 50+. Mizuno Wave Rider rules the road by my critique.

The sizing varies year to year. This model is a bit on the small side.

This is my 4th pair of Mizuno Wave Riders and they just keep getting better. Very comfortable and supportive. High quality materials that last.

I purchased Mizuno shoes when I found them on sale at a running store. I will be honest, I had several Asics, but since the Mizuno shoes were on sale and I liked the color, I went ahead and bought them....am I glad I did!! Without a doubt the BEST shoes I have ever purchased. I have had trouble with my feet for going on 2 years......kept using the heel cup insert because of my heel pain (Plantar Fasciitis). Now all I buy are these shoes.....and to think I had never heard the name before. Thank you SWAGS Running Store in Louisville, Kentucky for completely changing my strategy on shoes!

I use these shoes for power walking and on my elliptical machine

Solid workhorse shoe for day-to-day training. Would highly recommend and would continue to buy this year after year. I've noticed feet stay cooler and are better supported. Good breathability. Most importantly, these shoes get me motivated to run.

I've been a longtime Wave Rider runner and they never disappoint. Nothing super fancy, just a great marathon shoe.

Wave Rider 28 adds the new tech cushion / responsiveness to the ground while having a decent toe box, which was too small / tight in the 27 model, and 26. I was still searching for and buying up old Wave Rider 25s for years, but can now safely buy 28s for a while. Let's hope they don't drastically change the shoe again for the 29 model.

Great solid show for running and walking. Very supportive

I've been running in the Wave Rider product for a number of years. I find the Mizuno product reliable and each generations slight modifications that only add to and enhance the products performance and appearance.

One of my favorite shoes, great for being on my feet all day walking.

I think that the shoes are great as a newer running i feel that they are super cushy and bouncy, however being my first pair of real "running" shoes i can't see too much of a difference compared to my other regular sneakers besides being way lighter.

Great comfort, traction, and stability

These shoes fit and feel great. They feel natural when you run, and the quality is very good. I'm very happy with this purchase.

These shoes are very well built, they are comfortable and sturdy. They are well cushioned but somewhat firmer in midole compared to Asics nimbus that I usually wear, I find this refreshingly different. I am alternating between the two shoes in my jogs and have no complaints. As for sizing I wear exactly the same size on these Mizuno Waver Riders as my Asics Nimbus and the sizing seems the same for both (Men's 11.5 in my case).

I was running Waverunner 25s before I bought these shoes. They fit very similar except the 27s are a little roomier and the heel height is a little higher. The heel height is annoying because it just barely clips my ankle bone. Overall though, I still prefer Waverunners to anything else on the market.

Fits well, rubber holds up moderately well

Shoes are comfortable, well cushioned, and fairly light.

Shoe is a perfect fit and was recommended to my by my podiatrist.
