Warm and cozy. Great shape and not too tight at waistline (important for me!). Feels a little rugged and looks good with boots as well as Dr Marten shoes.

It's ironic I got this email today. I live in the beautiful state of Washington (that's the Washington that still works) and it's been snowing for two days now. So u was sit there wearing this very sweater when I got the email asking for my evaluation. Well, it a great sweater! Very warm and comfortable and I like wearing it as it goes great with any shirt and a pair of jeans.

Absolutely wonderful sweater. Soft and warm, and well knit. Easy to wash and dry! I machine wash in cold water, then hang to dry over a heater vent. This has become my daily sweater.

The sweater is beautiful. It fits my husband perfectly and is, so he says, the warmest sweater he has ever had. We live in New England, where it gets bitterly cold. I just wish there was a womens sweater just like it.

Works well with most of my wardrobe. Casualwear is easy, really no thought is necessary for casual pairing, and the tightness of the knit makes it comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. The sweater (in navy) also works well for business casual dress, even with tailored wool pants.

Excellent quality sweater. Over the years, I ordered several sweaters from L.L.Bean but this latest one exceeded my expectations. It is not too heavy and keeps me really warm and comfortable during the winter months - especially since we are very much concerned about the environment and try to keep the thermostat low at home.

This was a gift for my son and he loves to wear it while enduring those cold temperatures. It has a nice basic look so it fits in with any occasion. It was a good choice to give.

This is a great Sweater. Only one and a half things I might recommend to improve it--the half thing is the neck tapers down in the front as pictured, so it keeps the neck a bit less warm without a scarf than the older ones used to which buttoned up evenly all the way around. This is a user preference--some people might like the current design. I do not dislike it, simply prefer the older. The second thing is the wool along the interior of the neck is unlined, and it is scratchy. If you do not wear a shirt with a collar or some kind of turtleneck the scratchy wool rubs your neck skin uncomfortably as a couple of other reviewers mentioned. This is not a deal-breaker, but I feel the design would be improved if Bean added a cotton lining to only the neck of the sweater. My dad, who has been shopping at L.L. Bean for decades, mentioned the same thing. All in all this sweater is one of the best on the market for this price. With a couple of design tweaks it could be even better than it is. It is warm, it fits well, and it is high quality. Do not order a size up; order your usual size.

For the price this is quite a nice sweater. Warm, and in size tall is really fit truly for a tall person.
